From order right up until the delivery, the service was excellent. Really nice comms from an actual human who was super helpful. Then, the delivery day came.

I got a delivery window from 8am - 6pm on a Friday. No huge stress but then my phone rings at 5:45pm, from someone who can barely speak, let alone English. We live up a driveway and despite artic lorries being able to turn around at the top, this man and his van decided it was a task he didn't want to tackle, and refused to drive up it. After 5 minutes of me explaining that he can drive up and turn around, he finally agreed to not drop £4k's worth of Bikes of at the bottom of a hill for me to lug up on my own...

Fast forward 3-5 minutes of horrific driving/manovering whilst he swore and chuntered away to himself, he decided the task wasn't for him, and told me he's not doing it.

He then flung open the van doors and suggested I pull the two boxed bikes out myself - both of which were upside down - despite the box clearly stating 'WRONG WAY UP'.

The guy was incredibly rude as he demanded a signature and then drove off at breakneck speed.

When you're spending quite literally, thousands of hard earned money on something, the LAST thing you should expect is this type of experience. Wheelbase, the incredible service before delivery, is almost all but forgotten due to the lack of care in your delivery services.

Purchase process very slick, item arrived on time and well communicated with tracking options. Invoice and packaging all good.

I had already decided on the make, model and size of the bike I wanted.
Several online retailers had the bike in stock, Wheelbase had the most competitive pricing, including delivery.
I contacted 3 retailers to establish if the bike was in stock and the projected delivery time.
Wheelbase staff were easily the most informed and informative, I ‘rang’ them ( on my phone !) rather than email or message, each time I spoke to one of their team who were all able to progress the purchase and delivery without unnecessary delays.
The bike arrived on time extremely well packed AND completely assembled and functional ( front wheel, seatpost and pedals were all that needed doing)
First class service from people, not bots or outsourced call centres or AI

Easy to find and order what I was looking for on website,fast despatch and arrived well packaged, only let down by Royal Mail taking 48hrs to deliver24hr service but not wheelbase fault and I would order from Wheelbase again.

What a great company to deal with, the bike arrived when they said it would ,they are professional and friendly.
Although the bike was slightly damaged on arrival, ( I suspect not a fault of theirs ) My complaint was dealt with immediately and I was reimbursed straight away for repair costs, I wouldn't hesitate to deal with them in the future
