Great service. Great trip.

The staff service was great! Food, room, tours were very good. Toilet behaved strangely at times, wouldn't flush with first push of button leading to several visits to desk, but finally figured out it took persistence. Arts and crafts program from Cindy (and John) was excellent. The performers were excellent musicians, but if they wanted people to dance, they needed to play to the crowd with slower tempos and more danceable music. At times they seemed to be performing for themselves. Would recommend Victory Cruise Lines to others.

Everyone was great.
Stateroom attend, waiters, bartenders, and chefs. The on board massage therapist Amrita was awesome. Best massage I’ve had in a long time. The smaller ship with 192 guests was just perfect for great travel, peace and quiet and the entertainment was fabulous.

All good if you’re a Lilliputian!

Staff, foo quality, musicians, guides

The size of cabins and showers a real challenge, and we’re not big people! Not enough room for two people to dress, pack or unpack. I don’t know how individuals with walkers manage to negotiate those cabins! The positives I mentioned were A+!
The negative aspects of the cabin almost cancels them out. It’s a shame because I can’t really recommend Victory to others or think about a repeat for my husband and myself. One of us had to sit on/in the bed so that the other could move around!

Friendly and thoughtful staff

Friendly and thoughtful staff, excellent food, comfortable accommodations, wonderful entertainment, the service was first rate, and the trip overall was thoroughly enjoyable and fascinating. Great fun for my wife and I, including our six friends who traveled with us. I might add that the lectures and sites we visited were very informative, I was happily educated in so many ways!

Personal Experiences

Not being an experienced cruiser I had no expectations, only hope. Much to my, and my partner's, absolute delight everything that was presented to us was over the top.
The entertainment trio presented with skill and charm a different genre of music each night; the five-course dinners were worthy of five Michelin stars and the shore excursions were curated to match the passenger's needs.
Here is a simple example of the crew's responsiveness:
We were in the lounge when my partner had to return to our stateroom. She got lost and became apprehensive. A crew member noticed her plight and volunteered to give her directions. As he started to describe the path she should take he suddenly changed his mind and told her "I'll take you to your cabin". He not only escorted her to the cabin but he then waited for her in the corridor and accompanied her back to the spot in which he found her. From there she was able to find her way back to me. WHAT EXTRAORDINARY SERVICE.
You can't make this stuff up!

Everything was on Point!

Everything!
Every staff member was kind, professional, and at the top of their game all day every day!
The service matched the staff and the food was excellent as well, best I've had on a cruise ship!
The itinerary was very nice and full of pleasant surprises at every location. Thank you again for an awesome experience!

This was my first time with Victory…

This was my first time with Victory Cruise Line and I was very pleased with the ship and everything about the trip. The crew were wonderful and the food excellent. I was most pleasantly surprised with the various places we docked and the excursions that I joined were well planned and informative.
Keep up the good work!

All the staff were so very helpful

All the staff were so very helpful, skilled, and friendly. The onshore excursions were very good and worthwhile.
The food was very good. It was nice to have choices for where to eat meals, and to have snacks available all the time.
The furniture in our cabin was worn and needs some repairs.

generally a well imagined well…

generally a well imagined well constructed trip with an attractive ship and rooms and attentive staff and services. if anything, perhaps better online interfaces/support/info easier for older folks like me to get around and use. perhaps slightly better “free drink” options (the free wine selections were terrific). perhaps even a TV station for lakelorian lectures or other pertinent history/culturally significant info for ports we were in.

Did not have enough time at Niagara…

Did not have enough time at Niagara Falls!!! Too many excursions were long bus rides without enough time at site locations. The staff at The Grill was excellent. Took too long in dining room. Needed some variety in entertainment. Need better communications. We had purchased a one bed in room & when we arrived we had 2 separate beds. Room was too small. We had a nice trip but very disappointed in Niagara Falls excursion & that was main reason for going. Also, you don’t actually have an app and internet would quit at times.

…Would definitely not recommend

This was the smallest stateroom we have ever experienced in more than a dozen cruises. The shower was exactly 28 inches in diameter and there wasn't 12 inches between the bulkhead and the bed. We did not have a refrigerator or coffeepot in our room, making it necessary to coordinate with the medical office to store my medication (and she was rarely in her office). I was extremely glad that we did not pay extra for a balcony stateroom - the only access was from outside and there was no cover, so if it was raining, you got wet. The "balcony" was 2 lawn chairs and a small table placed outside the door on the deck where everybody walked by to get to the grill. A couple of the ports were a total waste of time - Escanaba was extremely proud of all of the town members who had ever served in the military going back to the Civil War, but the museum they had put together was tiny and definitely not first rate. Just about everything in Sault Ste Marie was closed on Sunday and very little was within comfortable walking distance, The food was good, but I never saw much evidence of locally themed cuisine. For the most part, the crew was great, but the only activity planned on the at-sea day was bingo. The Cruise Director could spend more time planning guest activities and less time playing with the house band. We previously cruised on American Queen and loved it, so to say this disappointed would be an understatement, Will never cruise with Victory again.

Access for a person with multiple disabilities

We were very happy with our disabled room. It was fully accessible for my mother with her walker. We purchased and brought an oxygen concentrator and received distilled water for CPAP machines. All of the staff went out of their way to ensure my mother was able to participate fully (for which I am very grateful). Included excursions for the Great Lakes destinations were flexible (for example, allowing me to walk back) and enjoyable.
