The whole staff was personable. We felt like our dining room waiter, Alden, adopted us. He knew our preferences and prepared the table for us. I left things in the vault. The staff tracked us to o... See more

The itinerary and crew were terrific, but disembarkation procedure was very inconvenient.
The itinerary and crew were terrific. The quality and selection of food was superb. The crew was great. The only disappointment was the disembarkation procedure requiring all luggage to be ready for pickup by 10:30 PM the night before disembarkation. This causes much inconvenience and stress, since many items needed the night before departure cannot be put into a carry-on suitcase, thus suitcases must be opened at the airport.
Everything about this cruise was excellent!
Everything about this cruise was excellent! Truly, every aspect of it. The food and service were amazing and it was so wonderful to see our great Midwest from the perspective of a cruise! The food was the best we have ever had on a cruise, and we’ve been on many.
I had an unfortunate biking accident on Mackinac Island and sustained a severe broken leg. I was so worried about being able to get back on the ship to return home (I live near Chicago), but the staff made it possible for me to get back on the ship and took great care of me for the remaining days of the cruise. I would especially like to thank the ship’s doctor who explained the nature of my injury, checked on me multiple times each day and kept me well supplied with ice. He was so kind and reassuring! Also our dining room waiter Maximillian became such a great friend! He made every meal a delight, always bringing extra tastes for the table and generally being a charming and fun guy! Our room steward Ivan was very helpful when I needed extra help and food deliveries after my accident. Getting to Chicago ended up being challenging because of the storm but everyone worked together and got me on the bus toward home. Evening entertainment was really fun and our old and new friends definitely showed up on the dance floor. I even took a few turns before my accident, something I almost never do. The atmosphere was so friendly! I loved the mix of passengers on the ship as well. We made some new friends with whom we hope to stay in touch.

Everything about this cruise was top notch!
Food was excellent as well as servers, chef’s and anyone connected. Rooms were in excellent condition at all times. Music each evening was superb. One’s who enjoyed dancing could. Activity time in afternoons was also enjoyable. One never had to be bored. Everything was delightful and enjoyable.+++++
The staff was wonderful in every way
The staff was wonderful in every way. The included tours were great with such knowledgeable guides. The meals were above excellent. The entertainment and bar drinks and staff perfect. We loved the trip and would highly recommend.
Wonderful Cruise line.
Everything was as advertised. The onboard band was terrific! Also the lectures. Service was as good as any cruise line big or small.
I liked the waiters and waitresses
I liked the waiters and waitresses. Also the room staff. I enjoyed the band at night but felt there should have had extended hours at night in the lounge and maybe another form of entertainment. The food was not very good. Enjoyed the towns we stopped in

Trip on the Great Lakes
I loved most of the places we went. Did not like Esbana.
Bus drivers were fantastic.
Need a few more on ship activities.
Rooms were well kept.
Food staff was very good and hard workers.
I had some problems with the cooks finding me food to eat with my diet restrictions.
They tried.
Really appreciated the captain thinking about our safety.
All in a great trip. If you haven't done these g
Cruise, book it.
Excellent
Excellent! Boat, crew, entertainment, food, excursions, etc., all excellent. Captain, crew and management handled last-minute cancellation of Chicago due to very bad weather smoothly and efficiently. The stops were well chosen--except Escanaba; stopping there was pointless, no places of real interest. Otherwise, a great experience!
The Great Lakes itinerary was…
The Great Lakes itinerary was wonderful. The staff was professional and friendly. Food was well prepared with many options. Some included tours were fascinating, especially the Rock and Roll Museum and the Henry Ford; others were somewhat boring, such as Escanaba and Milwaukee. Didn't particularly care for the pre-cruise tour in Toronto.
The band and singer(s) were probably the best in-house band I have every heard. Tremendous range of songs and musical styles.
Showers were small but acceptable; the shower floor was rather uncomfortable.
Overall, I highly recommend this tour and the company. We have already booked another cruise with Victory.
Good cruise
Staff was great, very helpful, professional and courteous. Included excursions were very nice and informative. Only complaint is we paid for a premium room that had an exterior entrance/exit. Luckily we had good weather for the most part The room also was small.
Great service and a clean ship.
Our vacation aboard the Victory II…
Our vacation aboard the Victory II completely exceeded our expectations. Every aspect of the journey was impressive, beginning with the exceptional staff members who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect. The evening entertainment featured a fantastic, engaging live band, and the diverse selection of shore excursions added immense value to our trip. Thank you to the entire team for delivering a truly outstanding and memorable vacation.

great in every way except
great in every way except: I had $60 credit remaining in my on board account, so on last morning on ship I went to the Pursers Office to redeem for Victory logo items. I was told that it was too late as I had to use the credits up "yesterday". I said I wasn't aware of this, and was told that it was announced previously, which I did not hear. Left very bad taste in my mouth! Too bad to partially ruin a great cruise. I suggest a review of your announcement procedures, as many are unable to be heard. John Montani
Every staff member was outstanding
Every staff member was outstanding, including two tour bus drivers we had (Patrick and Rex). Onboard ship activities were plentiful. Sad I missed the Edmund Fitzgerald lecture; our Milwaukee excursion returned when the lecture was more than half over (Mickie was fabulous in all her various roles).
Relative negatives: excursion tours were sometimes dull to boring.
I especially enjoyed Cleveland (Rock annd Roll Hall of Fame) and Detroit. Detroit: many great options for this city. Three of us put together our own Cranbrook Experience, touring three houses. This took most of the day, and I don’t know how a half day Victory tour could have covered this.
Bathroom shower was tiny and the non-slip bumps hurt my feet.
We’ve already booked a Victory cruise for next year.
Cabin
Cabins were to cramped. Watch TV only from bed. The bed was to high. No seating area. Happy Hour was not good. Lakeorian
talk during. Not condusive to meeting fellow travelers. The shower waaay to small for a big man.
The entertainment got to be boring Same 0 Same 0.

We enjoyed every minute we were on board and on the included and premier excursions. We did find it a little difficult finding what was happening as all was on the cellphone, but we managed. The food was excellent, the cabins were comfortable and the passengers and crew were extremely friendly.
