Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Highly recommend Vets Now Langstone. The staff are all amazing so welcoming, caring and understanding They made a distressing time with a seriously unwell dog much easier by being helped immediately with clear explanations of everything that was being done, the problem quickly diagnosed and options offered. The service was outstanding. Many thanks Tracey and little Frenchie Ruby.

What an amazing experience, Amy who looked after my poorly dog was just fantastic! She was really knowledgeable and gave us some feedback that really helped us to decide the correct treatment.

The vet we saw was so good with our cat finding out what was going on with her

The vets are amazing and always go above and beyond. One down side was they were told my cat needed her medication at a certain time but when it hit that time there was no one around to give the medication to her as she was with the team in triage which is staff only. I had to hang around for some time until I managed to grab a nurse that was passing through. Not sure where the receptionist was but she had disappeared for a while.

We needed to see a vet urgently for our Miniature Dachshund who needed emergency surgery, we was seen within 30 minutes of the phone call out of hours.
Thank you to all of the staff who are very supportive and to the vet who diagnosed him promptly and arranged for him to see a Neurologist the next day giving him the best chance of getting back to normal again.

Thank you so much to the team for helping me with my baby rabbit Milo. I feel so reassured that there's such a supportive practice so close to home. He is my world and I'm so grateful for the help. I understand it's so difficult to diagnose rabbits and appreciate all the support. Thank you for caring for my little one I'd be lost without him

Was seen almost straight away, the vet was very thorough and put our minds at rest. It is a lot of money but worth every penny if you furry friend is unwell or injured.

The staff are amazing very caring my vet Bethan was amazing the place was lovely and clean there was a wait but I was told that from the moment I booked the appointment so knew what to expect parking isn't the best I parked in the unit next door (blue cross) but that was ok. Very informative about meds dosing etc and great overall care for poppy my stressed little moggie xx

Nothing was too much trouble for them. Clearing up dachshund diarrhoea from the waiting room and testing it to finding me a more comfortable seat after I’d had hip injections that week. The way they looked after our baby boy was superb. Yes we had to wait a while but I appreciated the fact that they were exceptionally busy and other peoples pets were in more serious need of urgent care. Thank you so much you couldn’t have done anything better

From the very first phone call with the receptionist to collecting our dog following an emergency operation, the staff were helpful, considerate, and kind to both us and our dog.
Although they were very busy and somewhat understaffed, they took the time to explain everything and made sure we had all the information to make decisions, as well as take care of our dog

We took our frenchie here on Thursday the 31st of July with suspected heat stroke as they told us, they stuck him under a shower for around 2 hours, did no bloods administered anti sickness meds and sent him home. Huge bill £302.50 just to see a vet plus all the extras only to go to our vets Friday as he still wasn’t right to be told from blood tests our vet took that he has acute kidney failure and liver damage. A week at valley vets in emergency care and now on going issues going forward all that was needed from vets now was a simple test to show this but they just put it down to heat exhaustion. Definitely don’t recommend them at all as we very nearly lost our boy due to them. All they care about is the money

The Vet that treated my dog was very friendly and professional, she gave my dog a thorough examination and excellent treatment. However the service from reception was poor, there was no one to meet me on arrival, I had to look for a member of staff to inform them of my arrival. I will say the receptionist was polite and helpful when I asked to settle the bill. The thing that was most shocking was the absolutely astronomical amount that the visit cost, even taking in to account it being out of hours !!! I have Petplan insurance which will cover the cost but I still think it a vital service that is being exploited..
