Considering 1,559 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently complained about poor cellular coverage in populated areas, unexpected high monthly bills, and unhelpful customer support lines. Many people mentioned experiencing frequent dropped calls, slow internet speeds, and persistent billing errors that were extremely difficult to resolve through normal service channels. Though some customers encountered major issues, a few reviewers were satisfied with specific staff members who provided polite and exceptionally helpful assistance. These consumers truly appreciated the professional support received in physical stores or when speaking directly with certain knowledgeable representatives who went above and beyond to help.

Customer service is disgusting

Customer service is disgusting. Over seas supervisor doesn’t give a crap, never mind you can hardly understand him. I will be switching when my contract expires. Bottom line, verizon doesn’t give a rip.

I switched to Verizon after 25 years…

I switched to Verizon after 25 years with AT&T because of the offers they promised me. Six months later, I’ve received only one of the electronic rebates I was promised. Verizon says they lost the other rebate, and they have refused to return my phone.

I’ve spent countless hours contacting customer service trying to sort this out, but I keep getting passed around without a resolution. This has been the worst customer service experience I’ve had. If I could do it over, I would never have switched.

I have Verizon for the longest time…

I have had Verizon for the longest time until last year. I had to switch my cell phone carrier, but I still had other devices with Verizon. Add to cancel those other devices because I did not have any access nor was being able to get access to pay those other devices due to that fact, I had to cancel everything after everything was set and done. Everything was already canceled and I paid my final bill months and months and months later I received a text that my Apple Watch was reconnected, which was not true because I had already canceled everything and Verizon had sent me a bill. I have spoke to Verizon customer service more than a handful of times trying to dispute and explain to them that I do not have any connected devices. Everything had already been settled and done months months earlier this made absolutely no sense after Verizon researching and confirming that my devices had in fact been canceled and I had not had any usage of my Apple Watch. Obviously they sent my bill to dispute and promised to at least write off half of it and sent the other half to dispute at the end of the day after multiple disputes phone calls later many frustrations. No one‘s help no resolution no return calls as promised Verizon is still billing me for the full amount for a disconnected device that was disconnected of January 2026 mind you it is now September . I have had the worst customer service experience with Verizon and their billing department and their supervisors until this day now I still have not had any resolution. I do not recommend Verizon whatsoever.

Verizon tech support NOT REALLY SO…

Verizon tech support NOT REALLY SO GOOD. First you have to get and understand the heavy Indian dialect That is the hardest goal! Then the ability to talk to them and be honest, they are really not experienced enough to solve problems with "Verizon Protect".I've been with Verizon over twenty years and I never seen it this terrible. I've only have to convince my wife that there are better and certainly more reasonable options. 3 different tech support personnel on September 25th, 26th and 28th.

I am so sick and tired of their crap

I am so sick and tired of their crap. The 5g is horrible the customer service is horrible. I asked for a transfer pin and then got an email saying I would have to pay $2440. That’s how they get you to stay because not many have an extra $2440 laying around. I can honestly say I hate the company

I had 2 lines with verizon

I had 2 lines with verizon. Ive noticed recently that the service reception has not been as good as it was. I was paying $227 a month. I switched last Tuesday to a different carrier, because I could get 3 lines plus internet for $8 less than what I was paying for 2 lines. The service has been great with the new carrier, however I noticed I wasnt receiving some texts and phone calls. Come to find out after a day of running back and forth to Verizon on Sept 24 2026 to pay off the katest phone I got from them they had a lock on the esim. So some calls and text could not be received. I then found out today Verizon is trying to steal from me claiming I still owed on my old phone. I pulled out my paperwork from my original purchase showing ut was a 2 year contract, and that the older phone was paid off, i turned it over to my attorney. After a $23k loss this week due a lost contract, and missed vender calls holding back my orders, I will be coming after them in full force with receipts. Verizon are a bunch of lying thieves that ivercharge their customers.

Overcharged Thanks to THEIR Mistakes

July I order a WiFi box for our new townhome. Verizon does not put our apartment number in the shipping address. UPS cannot deliver the box because it received an incomplete address (validated by email and tracking). WiFi box gets sent back to the sender. So I NEVER got this box. I call Verizon to send me another WiFi box to my house, this time they did put in my apartment number and this time it did deliver to my house! Yippee right? NO. Verizon has since then been charging me for TWO WiFi boxes. Mind you, I called in July to explain what had happened and customer support told me they would refund and make sure this is taken off my account. Yeah fast forward to SEPTEMBER (as in July, August, and September) I have been getting charged for two WiFi boxes for two consecutive bills. Mind you I called every damn month for the past three months to resolve this issue and each time a customer support person tells me (and every damn time I am on the phone with them for over an hour just to talk to a real person) it will be taken off my account and I will get credit refunded. Yeah no, because here is my surprise when I still am getting billed and the WiFi box is still on my account. So now I am pissed. I am upset because they are taking MONEY out of my account but I can only get refunded in credit. Like are you kidding me Verizon.

So I did what any petty person would do. I closed access to my bank account and added my credit card. I turned off auto pay and I called my bank and told them about fraud and overcharges to have them get the money back from Verizon. So you know how for those three months I have been calling Verizon about these overcharges and they are so slow and useless to make these changes? Guess how long it took for them to notice I pulled the money out of my account and cancelled the payments? Less than an hour. So I am cancelling my plan with them. I am taking my business and going to T-Mobile. I will not be robbed, given excuses with no real solution to my problems all while actively seeking out THEIR BUSINESS to get this corrected for over three months now. Mind you, their customer service sucks. Sophie the supervisor? Screw you. All the support people who could not send me a new bill that shows the credit refunds and changes for the next bill? Damn liars. All the ones who said they cannot email me or call me like they do not have my account pulled up? Female dogs.

It took me to not call, but to chat online with a rep for him to do everything those customer support callers said they could not do. So if you want advice, first do not do service with Verizon. Their mistakes will cost you three to four months of calling them to fix their wrong doings. Second, do not call Verizon support. They are useless and will have you on hold waiting for a real person for over an hour before they will tell you that they do not have the power to send an itemized bill. Speak to the chat online. At least there you have a paper trail incase you ever want to take this useless phone company to court. And third, and I mean it, they do not care about overcharging you. But once you cancel payment plans until their mistakes get corrected, then they cut off your service in less than 48 hours. Yeah I got my service cut off for cancelling payments because I wanted a new bill to pay without the overcharges.

Verizon 0/5 for everything. You can go and try to put your fiber optic in hell since that is where you all must be located.

Where do i start

Where do i start? Customer service is poor and outsourced by people that barely speak english, their AI tool is all you can talk to and its worthless and just hangs up on you. Their “policy” on unlocking your phone is rediculous. Everyone ive spoken to doesnt even know it exist. Once you pay your phone off it takes up to 35 days for the to Carrier unlock it which means you cant take it and use it anywhere else. I was a customer with 8 lines for over 10 yrs. Ill never go back.

Horrible

Horrible.
After 20 + years finally switched cell providers.
Their FIOS service is good.
Their cell service is awful. They actually hung up on me numerous times when I was trying to question why I am in a dead zone.
Go with another provider.

I have Verizon and I am leaving Period

I have Verizon and I am leaving due to horrible service, hidden fees, broken promises a robot who has no answers and just repeats you and gives you gibberish that does not give you answers does not give solutions continues to just repeat the obvious which is what you tell them. Now I am aware this is tactic being used by intelligence agencies because there is no way that when I call I cannot speak to anyone ever and it is the exact same robotic person that sounds like an uneducated, black woman, and I’m not saying black women are uneducated. I’m saying it sounds like a black woman and it sounds like someone who’s uneducated at the same time. And so to add insult to injury they made promises for credits and things on my bill due to issues that were caused by the system, their products, equipment and agents, mind you these were issues that had nothing to do with the customer, which is myself, yet not only did they fumble the ball and not keep to one single promise, not provide not one single day of help because whatever they offered only cost me more because the bill continue to rise instead of giving me some relief and credit for me doing my part, honoring every promise to Pay and honoring them on time yet I could not get treated fairly and like a loyal customer, they claimed and know that I am. This was the most unreliable and useless attempt to be a lawyer customer to and entity who is not loyal to their customers. However, this did not disturb me. It does not anger me because there are 1000 companies out there to provide what we need if they think that costing me more money is depleting my resources, unnecessarily, causing me stress and all this and that it is not working, so you undercover devils with you organizations that help you try and cause people to appear to be mentally ill as they say or losing it are better yet having a hard time because you’re purposely trying to sabotage their life through these programs that they think we don’t know about to leave us behind, but that will never work because we understand how you operate and money is meant to be spent and we will always find a way because you forgot I am an African-American woman which means I am accustomed to coming up with solutions to problems for survival which makes me someone you cannot ever hold back. You only make me stronger and steal what I have in others so they will rise up in my place. Some of you will not understand what this is about, but I’m making it known for those who do so they know that I was being targeted to even through my phone provider because there was no excuse for the way I was treated yet I was spending my money and holding to every promise that I made to spend my money for service that was undeserving of my loyalty so I would not advise anyone to waste their time with Verizon whether you are on their watchlist or not. So I found a greater service more reliable service, faster, service, and loyalty because we’re my service is now my family has stock in it so they’re not going to play against their stockholders children or relatives. Because the stockholders are the business and they’re not going to lose their business at least their investors are not going to lose billions of dollars behind an organization that is secretly targeting people to a public agency so what is a public agency doing creating secret programs within their agency “GANG STALKERS” and
CoinTelPro “I AM NOT A GANG MEMBER, nor have I ever been. Now get a real job watching stalking and disrupting their lives real gang members.

Worst 5G Home customer service and in home service

Since one is the lowest star I can give I will give a one, but I would really give a -1000. Over the last month I have had the worst experience with any company with my 5G home Internet service there have been numerous errors in service and billing and the latest is them wiping out two accounts so I can no longer access them. I call and I go round and round and round with the representatives and spend hours on the phone and have done chats three or four times and I’ve spent almost 2 1/2 hours and have gotten no resolve customer service is terrible and the service that I received is terrible

One star is too many

One star is too many. Absolutely terrible experience with Verizon. I have spent countless hours dealing with contradictory information, unexplained charges, billing corrections that somehow turn into new billing problems, and promises from Executive Relations that still don't end the mess. Verizon confirmed a returned device was received and told me certain charges and late fees were credited, yet my account is once again showing an unexplained $1,400+ balance along with additional billing adjustments. Every time one problem is supposedly resolved, another appears. Even Executive Relations has failed to provide a clear, consistent accounting of what I actually owe and why. This has been one of the most frustrating and unacceptable customer-service experiences I have ever dealt with. I would strongly caution anyone considering Verizon to pay very close attention to their bills and document absolutely everything.

Do not use unless you have money to burn consistently!

Do not get a prepaid plan with them if you're living paycheck to paycheck, or may have problems with your card, your card declines once, and you can never use it again, their login process requires verification every single time, and if you don't do it 100% perfectly, you'll have to do it over and over again. You can't buy a pin using 611 on any device I've had if your service happens to lapse, and I have had nothing but problems since they took over straight talk service, and then since switching to them completely, such as having significantly worse service for a significantly higher price, struggling to add a plan, whether using a prepaid card, or just paying outright on the app or website, and their customer service is so limited on what they can do, all you are able to do is pray that your problem is within their scope. As soon as I can afford to do so, I am switching companies completely so that this greedy, sad excuse for a phone company has nothing to do with my phone service ever again. Honestly, unless they improve their service, lower their prices, and fix a minimum of half of their technical issues, there's nothing they can do to improve. This company is designed purely for people who have money to waste, and they don't give a rip about customer satisfaction anymore.
