Worst customer care for a loyal customer for 15 years

If I could give Zero stars I would.
I have been a tesltra customer for 10 years or more .Telstra has lost me forever.
I had NBN and mobile plans .

I called telstra 10 days prior my move , As its a newly built house , they are making me run around circles.
I have been on phone to telstra for 5 times now. Each time the same thing.
I explain to them they ask the same questions, no clue. Still havent got my internet. . Then I complained online . As I was fed up with chasing the agnets.
Complaints officer start blaming me and saying that I dont know what I am talking about.( she even told me , dont blame telstra)
This company is going down the drain as they are attacking customers who complain.
Al these years , I wasted my money.
I have called telstra in the past, they are usually apologetic and try to fix the problem.Now they start attacking and blaming customers.

Trying to navigate the customer service…

Trying to navigate the customer service is a nightmare! If you ask to speak with a supervisor they simply tell you “I understand this, but there is no supervisor for you to speak to”!
I have been a loyal Telecom & Telstra customer, previously when the customer service operations were not located off shore the service was unbelievably better!
Writing this is pointless as the Telstra company obviously does not care about customer satisfaction, loyalty the only determining factor is the mighty $$$.

My mobile has been dropping out for 7…

My mobile has been dropping out for 7 weeks now - many people think I am hanging up on them - really embarrassing. I try to call the people back but it always says ' no mobile network available' but I am near the centre of Hobart. So far they have not been able to do anything about it.

If I could give zero for this awful company I would. They are the worst in terms of customer service. They suck you into their products and make it impossible to leave. We tried to end our account and they literally made it so impossibly difficult that we will end up going to NSW Fair trading with a formal complaint. The call staff are belligerent and rude. Never take a phone contract with Telstra.

Recently we had NBN service installed, had some problem with the internet connection. I called NBV service activation team, Ms. Suvidya is the one helping me through. She is super friendly, professional, explaining very clearly. Very happy with her support.

PATHETIC TELSTRA

Well, what can I say that hasn't already been said. Telstra, you are an absolute joke, and a disgrace of an Australian owned company!!!!! Your (lack of) customer service is pathetically underqualified to say the least. Obviously all off-shored now, and the crae factor is as low, if not lower than this review.
Our internet service has been sporadic for at least the past 8 months, with several modem changes, lines tests, modem tests etc etc etc.. several hours wasted trying to communicate with a lackluster service team, and 2 TIO complaints later, and they still don't give a crap!!! USELESS

I do not mind the exorbitant prices

I do not mind the exorbitant prices. But I what I do mind is the utterly useless customer disregard of the Call support team to my issue. The call ended up Telstra saying “ I can’t do anything “. To a simple issue in which a click and collect was magically diverted to another online delivery. I needed the mew phone for work, and now I am in a limbo as to when I am getting the phone.

You charge absolutely exorbitant fees for international roaming. I get into a situation where I need to make an urgent call to Australia but can’t and can’t sign into Telstra as I don’t have SMS to confirm. Wake up to yourselves Telstra and get on Whattsapp. You morons

Bad turns good

I went to this shop to receive my pension discount. It started badly when they told me that I needed an appointment to do a 2 minute job. I wasn't told this in the original phone call that an appointment was needed otherwise I would've. After being told the closest appointment was 2 hrs away, I got a bit agitated. Security and police were called to evict me and if it wasn't for a level headed security member, I would've. But thankfully commonsense came through in the end and everybody was happy. Management was the problem, not the staff, as they only did what they were trained to do. Sorry to the staff being obnoxious. Luckily commonsense prevailed.

Gross misconduct in selling phones

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. Bought a new Samsung S26 Ultra with them. I had been with them for 5 years as a Sim provider and every year they increased the pricing for 50GB from $50 to $74 by 2026. I tried to cancel my Sim membership due to this abhorrent increase and was then told that my Sim contract was tied to my phone contract which was not discussed in store and when asked about this potential situation the staff member told me that they were in fact separate and would be able to cancel anytime. Not only that but was rushed through the process due to them closing within 30 mins (even though I was there an hour prior).

When highlighting this as misconduct which they legally should have allowed me to pay off the phone separately, they stated that I could only return the phone with all fees wavered or keep the contract as is. They then closed the live chat about this everytime I tried discussing this situation. I sent this to the ITO and all they could do was offer me $5 off of my monthly bill....the most disgusting service and a joke of an offer. I will never be using Telstra again.

Telstra not interested in price comparison

Have been searching to get a new phone and new tablet and have done price comparisons with all phone providers and retail stores. Contacted Telstra to see if they would price match Vodafone's plans as Telstra is so much higher and and their response was that they do not price compare on phone plans. I guess they are not interested in new business or keeping current customers especially with the very high cost of living and people wanting to save where they can. Pretty disappointing from Telstra.

Great coverage with Telstra during my travels and…

I used Telstra during my travels and had a great experience overall. The network coverage was excellent, even in remote areas like the Great Ocean Road and Tasmania,. I consistently had a reliable signal throughout my trip. Even when data was shared.

Setting up the eSIM was quick and straightforward—it was easy to get online without any hassle. While Telstra is a bit more expensive than other options, the strong coverage and reliability made it well worth it.

For international travelers, a helpful tip is that you can register using your initial hotel address, which makes the process even smoother.
