Doesn't get much worse.
Wow, what a mess. I tried Sygic on my iPad for use in my big rig and it was one problem after the next. The only bright spot was the really good GPS speed limit response on screen to tell me the exact speed limit for the roads I drive. Other than that, it's buggy, complicated to set up a multi-stop trip (which is all I do) and the optional "real time traffic " is a joke. The only thing worse than their cryptic interface is the customer support. I hope you go out of business - soon. I'm abandoning my pricey 1 year license BTW not even half way thru.

Sygic GPS is a scam
Sygic GPS is a scam: they sold "lifetime" Premium licenses when they were short of money, then they abandoned that license after they ripped off your money and now they harass you to upgrade to the "new", more expensive Premium+ license. The suckers who bought the "lifetime" Premium license are continuously harassed to upgrade to the new license, that is to basically give up on their rights via targeted "bugs", continuous email spam stream, adds on half-screen, unresponsive customer "support". The first thing they ask you is whether you have the "lifetime" license, and if yes, they hang up to your nose or ignore your emails. They also target you with "accidental" "bugs", they move all the old features beyond the new paywall, basically reducing the "lifetime" Premium to just voice navigation (guess what, they ask for money even for voice navigation), as if the "lifetime" Premium were not sold as being *the highest level of features, for life*! Anything they do is to harass you to pay again the more expensive service. A scam, a disgusting company. Disgusting, disgusting. Our money were good when they were in need of it, but now they have no qualms to cheat on you. On top of it, since they "upgraded" from version v18.xx to v20.xx it is a disaster: it freezes or crashes while you drive (about once per hour), it takes ages to switch from daylight to night vision screen (the screen remaining black in the meantime, go figure), it loses track and spins aimlessly while in a tunnel (really, I have moved laterally by 10km while I was in the tunnel?), it takes you off the highway just to make you get back on after two kilometers of improper roads (maybe they sell a rally training for Paris-Dakar, who knows?). The application crashes or freezes about once per hour, in the middle of the highway and gives you a dark screen for half a minute when switching from daylight to night mode vision. And they harass you to buy road assistance from them! Who would trust these people after they scammed you?
I paid for lifetime and now new…
I paid for lifetime and now new functions need a subscription under a new product name. Dashcam overheats my powerful phone (waze doesnt so it's not my setup to be blamed)
Sygic is a scammer's company
Sygic is a scammer company. A class-action lawsuit is needed to make them stop scamming people with their junk maps and scam full-version paid software that later become subscription based.
They scammed me for 80$
They scammed me for 80$. Their maps are good for nothing!
Not good in Scotland
Nice graphics and information on the screen, however, the address search using post codes and addresses when it comes to Scotland is very poor. It only succeeds in terms of large cities, smaller towns don't stand a chance. Google Maps practically covers the whole country, Sygic Maps works very poorly in this regard. There are also problems with reaching smaller towns - no complete coverage of roads and building numbers.
Terrible route finding avoid
Bought this hastily without reading the reviews...big mistake. This app is just bad at route finding and I mean terrible regardless of settings just the simplist of routes it gets wrong let alone coming back from France to UK! With which it kept doing weird detours so much so we went back to our phones and Google maps...basically its rubbish please avoid
Bought it
Bought it, was (WAS) happy with it. Now they removed all sounds and placed some bright orange notification on screen to 'try out premium +'.
Have to pay about eur 45 per year extra now as subscription to get the sound back as it was removed with their last update. (but i already paid for full version!!! And it had sound!!)
This is very disrespectful and reason enough to look for alternatives. (hello google maps)
lack of politeness
Very impolite after sale service, when you show them they are wrong and (or) lying, they don't have the minimum of courtesy to give you an answer. Of course all of that AFTER you gave them your money
Had this app on my phone for a few…
Had this app on my phone for a few years now not very happy as it takes longest routes to get there the concept wood be great if it worked properly
Sygic a joke
Had this for over 5 years premium now there just money grabbing will use something else from now on
Illegal practice wit their old customers
I purchased a life time world wide maps some years ago for 100€ but than they suddenly want people to pay a monthly fee to use all the features I had included in the 100€ . So they downgraded me , that is illegal I tried to get my money back but that will never happen. We should bring them to court and close them down. And of course give us our money back !
No happy with this company
I purchased this GPS by mistake. I have requested a cancelation and refund of the purchase price since earlier October. Well within their cancelation time frame. After the first 3 weeks they acknowledged by request and their customer service would be in contact with me within 4 to 5 days. I have not received any further response from them since. It's been going on now for a month. I would not recommend anyone purchasing from this company, they took my money, ignored me and refuse to give it back my money.
Very disappointed from a former very loyal customer.
4 years ago when I first bought Sygic, their customer service was excellent. I have continued to support them by buying many add-ons through the last four years. Then they decided to employ a subscription model.
This was when it all went wrong. Customer service went out the window, they just don't seem to care any more. I have sent them multiple emails and not received a reply from any of them. Their website is so poor, it sends you round and round in circles trying to find how to actually contact them. They don't want to be bothered - they just want your money.
As for the app itself, it is one of the best layouts and feature-rich if it actually worked as advertised. It is full of glitches, crashes constantly and sends you in the wrong direction as often as the correct one. It may be great for the Eastern European areas of the developers of the app, but it is hopeless in the UK.
I have given up on it and just use Google maps now. Not as feature-rich but it's reliable and works as advertised.
Very disappointed from a former very loyal customer.
Sygic navigation is a Scam. Filled complaint w google
I paid 84.00 for lifetime north America maps and world maps in 2013. Now I can't download maps and can only up date 3 states a year.
Rubbish customer service
Trying to get Sygic to activate old premium account and change account details exceptionally bad customer service getting nowhere, paid lifetime Premium that doesn't work.
Keep your money!
If I could, I would give it a zero because of the zero we get for customer support. I've been a member for 2 years and I can't even use their "so called service" since July 2021! Don't pay for anything that doesn't provide phone support ever. Chris G
This sat nav is rubbish
This sat nav is rubbish, I paid for the premium system so that I could download it onto my car which it is supposed to work with but it keeps freezing, when it does work it’s so slow especially on roundabouts, can’t get the up dates and get no response from my emails to Sygic….. Don’t waste you time on this app, there are much better, free gps apps available.
Sygic still better
perfect useful functions that other navigations don't have, well-arranged map skin, lane assist & head-up display are top!
