Great for motor cyclists
Good route app, great for motor cyclists. Seamless integration of route creation and navigating them.
Simple and intuitive
The web based route planner is simple and straight forward to use. Routes automatically show up in the navigation app. Originally transferred routes to a GPS, but now run the app on a dedicated navigation phone and the GPS is in a drawer with several of its brethren.
MyRoute app is cumbersome and not…
MyRoute app is cumbersome and not especially user-friendly. I downloaded it because I needed a way to plan routes and export them to my BMW K1600 Grand America navigator, which is also not a great experience.
Route planning in MyRoute is not very intuitive, and making changes to an existing route, especially when dealing with stops and waypoints, is unnecessarily confusing. I spent hours trying to build and revise routes, and it simply should not take that much time.
Another major issue is that it does not connect directly with the BMW app. Once I finally create a route I like, I still have to save it and manually upload it into the BMW system. Even the export process is unclear, including which file format I am supposed to use.
In practice, MyRoute feels just as cumbersome as the BMW navigation app. That is why I decided not to renew my subscription. I was willing to pay for convenience, but this app did not provide any. If both options are a hassle and one of them is free, there is no real reason to pay for the other.
There is a real opportunity here to improve the user experience and potentially partner more closely with BMW on motorcycle navigation. BMW’s app is weak, and this could be a chance for MyRoute to fill that gap, but right now the experience is not there.
Here’s a tighter, more review-style version if you want something punchier for the app store:
MyRoute is more cumbersome than convenient. I bought it to plan routes and export them to my BMW K1600 Grand America navigator, but the process is far less intuitive than it should be. Editing routes, managing stops and waypoints, and figuring out exports all take too much time and effort. It also does not integrate directly with the BMW app, so even after finishing a route, I still have to save and manually upload it. At that point, it feels just as frustrating as using the BMW navigation app itself, except BMW’s is free. I was willing to pay for convenience, but this did not deliver it. There is a real opportunity here to improve the user experience, especially for BMW motorcycle riders.
Drains Battery very badly.
Very buggy
Very buggy. Also, if I have a saved route and I complete 10% of the predetermined route then stop somewhere for a break, when I try to resume my trip it thinks I want to start from the start of the route and send me back, instead of continuing from my current location. Definitely not intuitive. I’ll keep it for a month longer, but if there’s no update to fix this, I definitely won’t keep paying for the subscriptions.

Fabulous Route Planner
I have been using this App for over a year and it far out excels other platforms.
Also very good customer service and tech support should you need it.

The app does not interact well with Motorcycle Shoei headsets and iPhones!
It often loses all voice communication which is inconsistent making troubleshooting impossible! Sometimes this can be resolved by reloading the app but not always! I find routes made with the computer website software not as straightforward as the app but in someways achieves a better result. I would suggest though the more modern phone app software should be adapted for computer use but modified to include the extra features of the current computer software 🙂

Brilliant app for riders
I love this app, especially the round-trip functionality. Sometimes the app can go a little crazy when I miss a checkpoint by 50 yards and even after 50 miles, it's still trying to re-route which can be annoying but I can live with that.
Turn by Turn failures
The re-routing with the turn by turn (TBT), on a route that I created, was aggravating. I could see my route line going ahead and then right while the TBT said go left. Often the map showed a right and a left at the same time. Sometimes it showed a loop, Left, Left, Left and back to where we were already going. I ended up ignoring the TBT
Best MC route app
have tried several other apps but this one is the most useful and easy to use. If you can replicate the European route details in other parts of the world (North/South America and far east) that would be amazing.
Possibly you can enlist some of the MRA community for more content.
Great product, once you get the hang of it
I use this with my Garmin XT. Great experience and simple once you get your head around the uploading which is sone through Garmin drive app. The only issue is that this has to be discovered through YouTube and a step by step on their own website would be good and the web platform could really do with modernisation as it’s pretty clunky. But once you get the hang of it it’s great.

Paid for a silver subscription but the app will not let me navigate a route. Still waiting for My Route to respond to my request
Unfathomable
CarPlay using
When using CarPlay, deleting the next waypoint isn't always possible, and there's no prompt asking if you want to skip the waypoint. It works perfectly while you're following the selected route, but if you veer off course, it becomes difficult to use.
Great route app
Used the app last year through Europe and it was great. No isssues at all. I have renewed my subscription again this year
