Great service. Specsavers have always looked after my hearing aids and so I decided to move my optical requirements to them as well. I have not been disappointed. Thank you

Quick efficient and friendly service

I had a eye test at Birkenhead on 6/06/26 at the time I felt rushed and complained at the time,
I took my prescription and bought glasses elsewhere,
I thought at the time that their was only minimum improvement with the new glasses,
I decided that I will give them time to get use to them being the first prescription glasses to use on a regular basis ,
I decided to have a second opinion at another optician’s the result was a lot different to specsavers test also they said that I have cataracts which was not picked up on at specsavers justifying my decision to go elsewhere for another eye test having no trust in the rushed eye test at the Birkenhead branch,
I went back to specsavers and asked for reimbursement for the cost of the new glasses having got the prescription wrong according to the re-test,
I was told that this was not possible because I did not go back with my complaint to them why would I having no trust in their capabilities to do a eye test,
Iam in my middle seventies and for the first time I felt very uncomfortable during my conversation with both the assistant and the then supervisor making me feel it is my fault and excepting no responsibility or empathy for serious consequences for not taking my complaint in a professional manner. Other than giving me a piece of paper to complain to (OCCS),
I would have thought that they would have offered another eye test to discover if the eye test elsewhere was correct for specsavers own reputation other to get me out of the shop very poor customer service.
I was told by the first shop assistant that it’s not her fault and not to be abusive to her my wife was with me at the time and I did not think I was other than being forthright polite , I don’t known why the first assistant would mention that I was other than asking for answers to my concerns very uncomfortable .

Great staffing throughout
Very helpful no matter if you want a reasonably priced pair of readers or a top Designer pair of multi focal glasses.

A good experience. Friendly professional staff. A good range of glasses. Efficient service. Lower prices than many of their competitors.

I have been going to Specsavers for many years and have always been very impressed by their work with me and the efforts they made towards getting me better sight after I detached the retina. I have always asked to be tested by Mr R. Mitchell and the eye hospital were suggested I remain with him.

Very helpful,friendly staff. Which is always the main thing in my opinion.

My varifocals were not the same for my sun glasses & normal glasses. Because the person setting up the prescription had copied a previous varifocal prescription from quite a few years ago I was able to see more of the small print in one pair of glasses than the other pair. Absolutely ridiculous. I had quite a lot of B S told to me which I was truly stupid. Spec savers messed up.
I changed from one branch because I wasn’t happy to another branch & still not happy.
Let’s see if the pair I refused comes back perfect. I won’t hold my breath.

They messed up my glasses so now im having to wait a month for them.

Easy to book. Quick service. Love thec2nd pair free option. They did mess up my prescription and had to redo my lenses by they sorted the mistake out quickly without ne needing to do anything

My appointment was on time with minimal waiting, I received clear instructions and an explanation of my eye test and was put at ease.

The dispensing agent Ben was first rate, so helpful and helped me pick out suitable frames and got me the best deal for my purchase, he really took the time to understand what I was looking for and was so helpful. I'll definitely be using middlesbrough branch from now on.

Sheridan, was an excellent optistion Sharon was brilliant at helping me chose my new glasses I love them Ellie was lovely when she fitted my glasses and Tabitha was lovely when she did the pre eye test

To be honest I asked a friend to help me to order my glasses as these were my first I was not sure how to fill in all the categories.
However when they arrived and tried them on they were perfect. So am delighted.
They were mainly for distance. Now I can see for miles very clearly. From my window I can see far into the distance and make out windows and doors on houses that were blurred before.

All staff are friendly, competent and informative

Very helpful. Explained photo etc to me. Lady fitting glasses told me I could have another pair free with ones I had chosen
