Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great except ages of children on kayak page went from 2-17 whereas the ages on the actual supplier were 2 -11. This made a difference in cost.

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Good prices and easy booking. My only complaint is the very aggressive upselling, but it was only a little annoying to keep saying no.

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The process was straightforward. I deducted a star because of the aggressive wording on the optional packages.

Low Price Bait

I had a very disappointing experience with SmartFares. Their pricing appears misleading, as they initially display fares in a lower local currency to attract customers. However, during the payment process, the settlement currency is switched to USD, which results in a significantly higher final cost. In my case, the actual amount paid was around 10% more than the advertised price.

Additionally, the ticket issuance process is inefficient. Unlike most online booking platforms that provide instant confirmation, SmartFares may take up to 24 hours to issue the ticket, which creates unnecessary uncertainty and inconvenience—especially for time-sensitive travel plans.

Overall, the lack of price transparency and delayed ticketing process make the experience frustrating and not worth the time or effort. The pricing approach feels misleading and raises concerns about their sales practices.

Bad experience

I have booked a flight that was shown as 820.44AUD. However, I got chased 883 AUD without any further information of additional charged and fees on their booking confirmation. The customer service is not helpful at all and is just gaslighting the issue! I wouldn't recommend booking from this website at all! SCAMMERS!!!

Canceled flight but not notified

I booked the same international flight as my friend just through a different site. When his flight was canceled/changed his airline automatically booked another flight. I didn’t receive an email or notification of my flight changing or canceled so I assumed it was okay, the day before the said flight was schedule to leave I called smart fares and they informed me the flight was canceled and I should be getting an email-still never got that email. Such a terrible company and definitely worth the extra money to book straight from the airline.
