The quality & flavour of the meals is good however presentation not so much, also it would be good to have a division in the containers so that you can stir ingredients individually & not mix them all up

I'm currently trying all of the Simmer/Frive type services I can find to find the ones that I like best.
I've tried 3 so far, and unfortunately Simmer is at the bottom.
It's not bad, it's just not great and the consistency is my main issue with it when I'm comparing against the others I've tried.
Some of the meals are great, tasty with great macros. But others are either poor macros or severely lacking in taste and quality and every now and again I find myself chewing on bone or some other non edible piece of food.
Customer service is incredible though I will say, very responsive and resolved issues quickly and painlessly.
It's a big shame! It feels like this is a company that has lost some of its quality due to the mega success and rapid growth, rather than because it was a poor service to begin with.

Excellent experience, really enjoy most meals, delivery always in que, just a little bit out of my budget to do all the time.

Very disappointed with the service and won’t be ordering from Simmer again.
Today’s delivery was cancelled because the driver claimed there was “no parking,” despite there being plenty of space available. I wasn’t called or messaged by the driver at all — I simply received an email saying the delivery couldn’t be completed.
I use Simmer as my meal prep for work, so this has left me without the meals I had planned for the week.
This also isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with Simmer. I’ve had multiple problems with the service, including previously receiving completely the wrong meals. After several disappointing experiences, I no longer feel confident relying on this service.

I've decided to update my review following the way Simmer Eats handled my complaint.
I found the website quite confusing when trying to cancel my subscription, I have to say their customer service was excellent. They took the time to listen to my concerns, admitted that the website can be difficult to navigate, and explained that they're already looking at ways to improve it.
Most importantly, they refunded me in full for the order I didn't want, and the whole issue was dealt with professionally and courteously. It's refreshing to see a company that genuinely listens to customer feedback and is willing to put things right.
The set meals simply wasn't for me at this time due recent circumstances, but their customer service really was first class and reflects very well on the company. I wouldn't hesitate to say they went above and beyond to resolve my issue.
**Avoid Simmer Eats.**
The meals tasted more like reheated supermarket ready meals or TV dinners than freshly prepared food. We had hoped for something fresher and better quality.
We accidentally failed to select a week and received an unwanted delivery costing £66. At that point, we decided we wanted a service with better food and much clearer control over deliveries.
Cancelling was extraordinarily difficult. We had to go through page after page of discount offers, questions and attempts to persuade us to stay. What appeared to be the final cancellation page was not actually the end of the process, so the cancellation did not go through.
We then received another unwanted £66 delivery. This time, we followed every step extremely carefully and eventually managed to cancel. At almost every stage, the process seemed designed to make it easy to click the wrong option or stop before the cancellation was complete.
The whole experience felt deliberately obstructive and deeply untrustworthy. Avoid.

Been positively surprised by Simmer! There is a lot of variety in the meals and they are pretty much all great (the occasional one that misses the mark but thats inevitable with these kinds of services!) - definitely going to keep using it for now!
Great meals at last started controlling my weight.Big thanks to Zidane who always makes sure my vegan food order is exactly what I want
Meals taste bad, subscription service is deliberately difficult to cancel and opaque. Customer service team reached out and refunded the cost hence changed rating.

Great choice of meals and really tasty.
Great quality meals and quick and easy to make.
My experience with Simmer has been degraded because of what they select for you, and class as suitable breakfast options, which means if you're in the situation of forgetting to choose your meals, you'll be unlikely to get what you want, or even what you pay for. Of note here is that I pay a premium for higher protein meals, which is why I feel so undervalued as a customer. This is pretty lengthy, but if you're counting macros- part of what this brand is promoting - this detail might be useful for you. Whilst they state they will order your meals based on your previous order history, in my experience with the breakfast offering they aren't considering this, or worse are selecting based on cheapest unit cost. It certainly feels that way based on options selected usually being low in protein. Part of the problem comes from what they class as breakfast. Whilst they do have breakfast meals (I usually exclusively order the chicken breakfast bowl (the meal itself varies), 46.4g protein, and overnight oats, 20g protein, both of which I enjoyed, they also have brownies, energy balls and flapjacks, which are at best snacks. This means that when they order for you, you can be left with items that are packed full of carbohydrates. A good example of low protein breakfasts I've received are from my last order. Of my four breakfast options: One portion of 3 small brownies- 10.1g protein and 36g carbs, one portion of 3 small flapjacks- 10.1g protein and 40.9g carbs, one portion of 6 energy balls just 1.6g protein and 13.4g carbs. One meal was provided- chicken sausages, which was also only 11g of protein, and 25g carbs. When you stack up my normal order of 185.6g for breakfast, I was missing out on almost 153g of protein based on my previous breakfast orders Vs what they ordered for me, "based on your previous orders". What a joke.
The convenience of having the food prepared and delivered is a bonus, but only at the same level of convenience of buying a high protein ready meal from a mainstream supermarket.
To give a balanced view, the regular meals were selected well, and the food quality has always been good, but if you're forgetful, or your work keeps you busy so it skips your mind, it's almost guaranteed that four of your 10 meals that are selected you will be disappointed with. Especially if high protein meals are what you're using the service for.
I have edited this to give a more facts based review to highlight the disparity of what I've ordered Vs what they sent. I did reach out to customer service, who told me that, basically, not to forget to order.
I must add that I did receive a call from their customer service team, who were very understanding, and resolved this situation. In regards the breakfast meals not being suitable breakfast I'll have to wait and see.

Simmer Eats has helped me through third trimester of my pregnancy as nausea has left me unable to make decisions around food and cooking. With Simmer Eats, I know that I’m getting nutrients that me and my baby need without the effort of cooking. I plan to continue into post partum. Marie from customer service called to ensure standards were high and I shared a glowing review - thank you!
I’ve really enjoyed the meals but mostly I have enjoyed the convenience and ease of the meals. I’ve lost weight since starting because it’s all calorie controlled and a great amount of protein. I’d be really interested in the fibre content though as this is very important to me.
Tried this service out, food was okay. But wasn’t for us.
Jumped through 10,000 hoops to go through the cancellation process.
Finally cancelled, but due to this business sh*tty predatory business practices, I have been charged in excess of £120 for a box due to be delivered today despite cancellation a week ago.
Absolutely do not recommend this ‘family run business’

For a while I was looking to get some quality meals to take to work and I finally took the plunge with Simmer. I have to say I haven’t regretted it and I’m on my 3rd week of ordering already. I’ve even just recieved an email from Samuel checking in with me making sure everything is going ok.. that’s personal service at its best.
I’m pretty fussy with what I eat and I can tell the ingredients and decent, they’re full of flavour and the standard meals are a good size.
Even at 38,000 feet they taste good!!
So… if you’re thinking about it, definitely give Simmer a try
