I suppose I’ve been shopping in Sainsbury’s since it opened here in Chislehurst and I feel comfortable shopping here. I recognise many of the staff’s faces and am happy to approach them if I need hel... See more

I like sainsbury's for products quality.

I use the app for my Sainsbury’s shop and have home delivery, as someone with a very busy schedule and limited free time it is invaluable, I add to my shopping list as I go and just click deliver when I am ready.
Great value products with plenty of deals.
Deliveries are on time and very friendly drivers.
A very satisfied customer.
The drivers have all brought my shopping into the kitchen, this is a boon to me as I am not as agile as I would like to be, On some occasions the sell by date could have been a bit longer. Bananas have at times been a little bit battered. But on the whole I am very satisfied.

Staines store seems to have issues with their frozen food section. I have counted three occasions in the last month with the latest being on 21st August 2026 that a cabinet and more has broken down. Instead of moving the pizzas to another cabinet and reducing other frozen products with the pizza are taken away to out of public area or thrown away. I have to take a 12 mile bus ride to/from Walton on Thames store to get a pizza. Just saying replace the freezers and keep customers happy or carry on throwing away stock , lost profits. Nobody wins where as it seems Walton on Thames store doesn't have this issue.
Good experience
Generally, shopping online for Click & Collect is easy and convenient. I marked down slightly as I'd love to see a click box for each item in my basket to state if an alternative is ok, or a text box to write a note. Eg 3 carrots - add a note about size (3 medium size).
More tills
I feel they change the produce around to often plus they need more people on the tills
Eastleigh Sainsbury’s was a mess!
Eastleigh Sainsbury’s was a mess!
Fruit & veg badly stocked as was bread aisle.
There were empty torn boxes in front of shelves in most other aisles. Worst I’ve ever seen store!
Getting information about reward prices…
Getting information about reward prices for a limited time is very useful especially on my regular purchases. I find it easy to find what I am looking for in-store . Aisles are clearly marked

Regarding my local Sainsbury’s I am sorry to say they have definitely lost there way!
1- the range of food has disappeared
2- definitely no enough staff
3- you can see openly theft on daily basis
4- most importantly if you don’t shop before midday you are unlikely to get what you have come on for
Basicly it’s an eye sore
More often I visit the Tameside shop which is completely opposite to the the one I am referring to Oldham
I'm fortunate enough to be able to use…
I'm fortunate enough to be able to use a new Sainsburys store in Alsager which for me is the best supermarket in this area by miles. A calm atmosphere, great choices of goods, staff very friendly and helpful, car park, excellent, petrol on site can't fault it. My local store in Holmes Chapel has had a revamp which has improved it, but find it irritating that staff wear headsets and seem to be constantly chatting to each other. The Hazel Grove store I use alot less these days is huge, has also had a revamp which is good, my criticism of that store is check outs are always busy and a rethink is needed regarding vehicle access and exits.

I like to shop at Sainsbury's because the staff are always friendly and willing to help. Clean stores and plenty of choice. Good produce and an excellent clothing range.

Quality products reasonably priced, backed up by helpful and friendly staff
Unexpected poor response to request for help
I had an exceedingly bad experience with the member of staff on the Customer Services Desk in my local store. It left me so shaken I could scarcely continue with my shopping. She had no concept of “ the customer is always right” and she virtually accused me of stealing because I had picked up the wrong tin of salmon by mistake! on shop and scan the previous week. And I had gone to the desk to sort this out. Unbelievable..

My experience with Sainsbury’s is very positive. The delivery service is very good and on time as well as there is always a friendly, supportive driver to help sort out any issues.
The product substitutes are also good value and they keep you updated with emails to show what's being changed.

Promp delivery service drivers very polite and helpful
Could improve on various aspects
I have a delivery pass for Sainsburys and get two deliveries a week (2 full shops). They have a good range of products and I like nectar points and offers. Their delivery drivers are nice. Things they could improve on: dates on bread tend to be poor and the quality of their fruit and veg is very hit and miss. Always have mouldy grapes in the punnets and squashy kiwis. I often have to bin a lot of produce sadly. Their skinless and boneless chicken thighs are terrible! They firstly often still have skin and bone in them along with huge chunks of fat and blood clots. They really need to improve on them. Also why do they put heavy items on top of softer items like the milk will be on top of the bread and end up totally squashed?? Tesco often send me money off vouchers whereas I never get any vouchers from Sainsburys even though I spend a fortune!
