Difficult to deal with in a call, on line system not user friendly. Would have gone elsewhere but left it too late. Will get my act together by next renewal , trying to talk with them is extremely frustrating, need time good mood and a glass of wine to suffer it. Wine optional.
Easy to navigate website that gave me a quote £100 cheaper than suggested on a well-known comparison website.
Documents sent out in printed form on request which is a bonus for those who, like me, value a hard paper copy to take on my travels.
I change my vehicle. I’ve been with SAGA for 20 years for my last vehicle my Insurance doubled.
I had a car insurance policy with Saga for over 11 years. In April 2026 I was hit by a tractor and my car was written off. The market value of my Mercedes E class AMG hybrid was determined to be £3,100 less excess even though an exact equivalent could not be found on the market, even a lesser spec car without the air suspension or pearlescent paintwork or fsh could not be found for under £15,000, I eventually got a little more though was left without enugh to get a like replacement even though that ispriciple of insurance and what was used to justify the ever increasing premiums each year for over a decade.
Futhermore trying to get a copy of the policy document for the Ombudsman is proving very, very difficult as when my policy eas later cancelled as Saga did not want to insure my replacement vehile Saga cancelled my 'My Saga' portal so I could no longer access my documents ,Phone calls to try to get a copy resulted in an email that had a link to My Saga that never worked as l had no life poliy. The saga continues, is that what Saga stands for? I thought it was a professional reputable company. Kevin Richards, Leicester
Saga do not reward customers for Loyalty, no matter how many Saga policies you may have.
I have been with SAGA for many years and they have always been great very helpful easy to deal with very helpful with making a claim very quick at resolving the problem all done within a week and Thay always match the price I get online
nobody explained why my policy was increased i had to ask and gave me no help in any other way to solve this problem the first person kind of told me to come back when i have all the details
I found that the website was very easy to follow and was very pleased with the quote for annual insurance which was very competitive.
My experience is of buying insurance from a company who are highly rated.
I cannot possibly rate them on anything else unless I had to claim. I am hoping that their very high rating will prove to be right.
So easy to talk to & understand my need for Holiday Insurance.
I organised my Travel Insurance by phone with Saga. It was simple and the questions relevant and I felt assured that if I was in the need for help it would be forthcoming and appropriate
Had to make a claim on my home contents insurance. Easily spoke to a real person at Saga who explained everything and gave me the number to call for my claim .
Lloyds were the underwriters. Oh my goodness Sheldon was absolutely brilliant. Reassuring, understanding and so very helpful. Everything sorted in a few questions . The money was in my account within days. Absolute 5 ***** star service . Thank you so much 👏🏻🤩
Saga was the best price for my 94 year old Dad, who is fit and able. Other Companies wanted £2,000, up to £5,000. It's a shame that because of age they load a person up. My Dad is so fit and able and doesn't walk with stick but Companies think ALL old people do. Saga was considerate and very reasonable. Would highly recommend
I saw the premium quoted on the Go Compare comparison website which appeared to be excellent for the level of cover. Therefore, decided to take out the policy hoping that in the event of a claim, they would live up to their reputation.
Got my house insurance with saga a few weeks ago and was dreading pages and pages of questions but, I was pleasantly surprised how straightforward and easy it was.. i will be telling family and friends to give saga a go. Felt I had my say and the insurance for contents was over £100 cheaper than my old insurance.
I had a renewal quote from saga of £571. Found it cheaper with saga when asked for a brand new quote. Came out at £301. Shame on you saga fro treating existing customers poorly
