If I can I would rate it at -1, I would. Complete rude behavior and making my little sister cry for four hours feeling absolutely unsafe and unstable at her home. I understand your job, but you have no right to pose your collection tax as treats. Do they really collect your jewelry and TV if you don’t manage to get the payment through in 24 hours? Because this is what we were told. Disgusted by the service and the rudeness. Completely and utterly disappointed!

Disgusting Customer Service & Scam

I received a bill that is saying I owe £75 more than what my instalments on my last payment due to my payment being late.

I called previously asking for automated payments as I knew I was on holiday and would not be able to make the payment. They told me that it had gone through back in January and now saying it didn't go through because my bank card has changed.

My bank card has remained the same and asked for them to review the payment details and they will see January and February payments were made from the same card.

They apparently do not hold any payment information as it's "an unsafe way to store details because anyone would have access to them" but in the same breath told me that for recurring payments to go through you must verbally tell them the card details so they can input it in the system.

Showing distrust in their own team members and contradicting themselves in 1 sentence.

Awful Awful staff.

People that work at these places are sadly the people that get kicks out of laughing at people in bad situations. I had a period of financial difficulty as I was a victim of sexual harassment at work, and had a 3 month legal process with no pay, and no job for 3 months after this, they asked me for evidence of the sexual harassment case and subsequent fear of getting a new job/stress/anxiety. Making me go through all my old legal paperwork about it would only bring it all back at a time I was starting to move on. They probably laughed at my misery after the call! Awful people.

Just wanted to post this advice to anyone having issues with Rundles, as much as they say they will enter your home to remove goods, for council tax debts they are not allowed to break into your home, they can only enter if you let them, or if you have previously let them in.

Speak to the council directly about the payment plan if you need one, they are the ones that make the decision on the payment plan amounts, not Rundles. The council ultimately review the payment plans and accept them, and they would rather have a consistent lower payment, than an unmanageable one that you miss on occasions. These guys use bully tactics to scare you to make you borrow money to pay it all off fast, they dont care about your household goods unless its expensive jewellery etc. Be strong, communicate via email only, or record all calls making them aware you are recording them as this is a legal requirement, so you have evidence to go to the council with about you trying to make arrangements to pay and them refusing. This advice is from the Citizens Advice Bureau.

What a truly despicable company Rundles are

What a despicable company. An Enforcement Agent left a notice stuck to the window of the entrance to a block of flats, one of which is owned by our daughter. If he'd opened the door, there were letter boxes for all the flats which can be seen from the outside so this was presumably done to cause maximum embarrassment. When you peeled the letter off the glass, it left behind a resin which isn't easily removed.
The letter was addressed to someone we'd never heard of and was threatening to enter my daughters property and start taking items of furniture.
The agent ignored voicemails, calls, texts so I contacted the head office who asked me to email my daughters council tax bill, which I duly did but received an email back saying the email may not be attended to for 7 days.
I called he head office again, as I was keen to stop these idiots forcing their way into my daughters house and helping themselves to her furniture, this rather unmotivated person said she can't stop them - in other words is it happens before they've processed the email, thats tough.
Shame on the council for recruiting thugs like this to do their dirty work.

I can’t believe these are a legitimate company that are used by government departments. I spoke to my local council who confirmed multiple times they have no debt to collect but the representatives refuse to listen, I asked for my data to be removed via GDPR as I’ve had enough of entertaining them then a representative refused and said they would put a note on the system. This is not legal - by reading other reviews it suggests that their practices aren’t in line with legislation. Mortified they still have the government contracts

Demanding an upfront fee in order to set up a payment plan is not actually legal. It states on a government funded website which states “No, you do not have to pay a debt collector a fee to set up a direct payment or a repayment plan. Debt collectors are paid by the original creditor (often a percentage of the debt) or they buy the debt for a reduced amount; they should not charge you for making payments

These people do not want to help you.

Whenever you speak to anyone on this team they’re incredibly snotty and combative. I spoke with Samantha via WhatsApp and the condescending attitude and tone was vile. They do not want to help you. They do not act reasonably providing notice or explanations or reminders before taking any action or sending someone to your property. I spoke directly with the council myself to reset an arrangement and they agreed - this company is unreasonable, unsympathetic and money hungry. Ignore what their letters say as they try to purposely intimidate you by saying things like “full payment ONLY” and tell you you can’t contact the people you owe directly as they want the debt to stay with them so they can continue making money off of you. Call the people you owe directly and you will likely speak to people far more reasonable and understanding that aren’t interested in capitalising on your financial difficulties. Utterly vile company and vile people

Enforcing against a very sick person

If I could give a zero review I would. I asked that a Council Tax enforcement be placed on hold as the person who runs the business in question is suffering from Parkinson’s Disease, is in a nursing home, and does not have the capacity to attend to their business affairs. I explained that we are waiting for Power of Attorney (PoA) to be authorised to the Deputy PoW, at which point the business bank account will be accessible and the dept paid. Rundles were very clear to me that the matter would not be placed on hold, thereby inferring that they will proceed with harassing and prosecuting a very sick man, even though there is currently no access to funds. Rundles should be ashamed of themselves.

Rude

Rude, savages even if you’re calling to sort out the matter. Operator was rude and non negotiable straight away I could afford 33% up front then 3-4 payments to pay the rest completely refused would rather charge more money coming out then dealing with you in the compliance stage.

They should be ashamed of themselves

I was contacted by this company via text for a few weeks. Genuinely thought this was a scam and chose to ignore those messages. They are giving no details whatsoever on why they are contacting you and using wrong personal info. And meanwhile they come up with completely un-reasonable fees and make you make pay a ridiculous amount. They clearly chose to have the worst coms ever to scam people and get as much money they can from them. The fact the council works with company like this is another seriously wrong matter..
