It was slightly smaller than the gym group I was a member of but the machines are alot better and I liked the fact that every little space was cleverly utilised. However I must say that the main reason for joining was the location, it's literally 5 mins from my house. Overall a great gym with all you need for a decent workout

The gym was quiet around 2am - 3:30am, equipment was easily available.

I joined this gym around 12 months ago because the membership seemed reasonably priced, unfortunately my experience has been disappointing.

The gym often feels poorly supervised, with lots of younger users around regardless of the time of day. The changing rooms frequently smell unpleasant and, in my experience, don’t seem to be cleaned to a particularly good standard.

A number of pieces of equipment appear poorly maintained and some users don’t seem to treat the equipment with much care. On the occasions I’ve spoken to staff, I’ve generally found them uninterested or disengaged, which is a real shame.

The car park is also quite small and I’ve seen cars damaged there. I’ve also heard of bicycles being stolen, so I haven’t felt particularly reassured by the security arrangements.

The recent increase in membership fees was the final straw for me. After around a year as a member, I’ve decided to leave and return to my previous gym.

Very disappointing. The gym seems poorly supervised, with what appear to be children under 14 using weights and equipment without proper supervision. I’ve seen equipment left scattered around, and even a child dropping a barbell on themselves while exercising.

This is a serious safety concern. PureGym needs to do a better job of enforcing its age and safety rules and actually supervising what happens on the gym floor.

I am extremely satisfied with the service I received. My issue was handled quickly and efficiently, and I was given a very clear explanation together with simple, helpful instructions. The representative was professional, knowledgeable and supportive throughout the entire interaction. Everything was resolved smoothly, and the service exceeded my expectations. An excellent customer experience from start to finish!

Had my bike stolen, yes I know this isnt Puregym's fault. However, there have been around 20 bike robberies in the same gym last month! Can you believe it ?!?! Absolutely atrocious yet nothing done to protect customers bikes. Cant even go to the gym fearing that someone else's bike could be stolen. Awful service to do anything to protect gym PAYING customers. Dont come here, go JD gyms or elsewhere better.

Great gym, lots of equipment. Very easy to sign up, or rejoin in my case. No joining fee, everything you need for a good workout on site. Couldnt ask for much more from a gym for £30 a month 👍

Absolutely disappointed, twice I turned up to the gym before going to work, absolute waste of my time that I cant get back, they are a fraud, they want to take your money, but when you cant access the gym they tell you to go and communicate through social media they don’t even give you a direct link to to send message to they should have a chat box on their website for the size of their company and kind of business they are in, they know people will get stuck and would need immediate help, no immediate solution how is it possible I can access the main door and can’t access the pods. Nothing wrong with my membership checked everything shows active, very very disappointing service.

Excellent and wide range of equipment well laid out with good spacing. Very safe space with high hygiene standards and regular cleaning evident.

PureGym is a really good Gym that has all the Facilities people will need so I will be letting others know about it.

The gym is always clean and friendly. The staff are very friendly and full of knowledge. Just ask and they help. Enjoy 😉 my time and the gym enjoying my freedom without wheelchair lol 😜

I visit PureGym Sunderland. I love the improvements they’ve made, I’ve been going to this gym for years and this is the best it’s ever been. . So much so my daughter and her friend have now started using it on my recommendation. The women’s zone makes me even more confident my daughter can exercise without to much scrutiny. Great decision. Also with more women using the women zone it frees more space in other areas of the gym, and eases the gym even during peak.

Incredibly friendly staff, gym floor is kept clean and tidy and the machines and weights always seem new!

I’ve always enjoyed a PureGym! Prices are extremely reasonable. It’s not overly packed or struggling to get equipment. The Palmers Green PureGym is the perfect guy for everyone

I’ve been coming to Palmers Green gym for just over a month now and I’m really enjoying it. The classes are definitely the highlight for me — Burn, Circuits and Lift have all been great, and the instructors make the sessions feel different each week. It’s also really convenient and easy to fit into my routine before work. The gym itself is clean, well equipped and the atmosphere is really friendly. Really happy I joined!

I trained at PureGym Finchley recently and needed a gym ball because my back was feeling very tense and I wanted to stretch it. I started looking around for one, and Bahareh noticed me and asked if I was okay. I explained that I needed a gym ball to help stretch my back, and she went out of her way to find one for me and make sure I was okay.

I think it’s these little things, especially when it’s quite late in the evening, that can make such a big difference to the member experience. Bahareh’s kindness and willingness to help made me feel looked after and welcomed.

It’s moments like this that make people want to feel part of the PureGym family. I wanted to take the time to recognise Bahareh for going above and beyond and making a positive difference to my experience. Please could you make sure she receives the recognition she deserves for her excellent customer service?

Went 3 times and won’t again. It was like a school playground

Kids everywhere, vaping in gym floor, witnessed 1 guy punch the wall, it hadn’t even been open long. Staff did absolutely nothing.

Asked for a bench to be wiped from the dripping sweat left and it took staff 5 mins to come back and then rolled his eyes at us. As a PT myself and a PT mentor this horrified me and I cancelled my membership

Alexandra's classes at Pure Gym are brilliant. Her classes can be easily adapted to suit my level of ability. Alexandra is also amazing in supporting my individual training and goals. Highly recommend.
