Gone downhill
Gone downhill — overpriced, poor service, and not worth the money
I’m very disappointed with my recent visit to Prezzo Whitely. I’ve been a loyal customer for many years, but this experience has completely changed my view of the restaurant.
I ordered a pasta dish with prawns and no salmon. The waitress assured me the kitchen would replace the salmon with double prawns, which seemed fair. I also asked for only a very small amount of fresh chilli, as I can’t tolerate spicy food. What arrived was nothing like what we discussed: a small portion of pasta with just five tiny prawns — definitely not “double” — and an entire red chilli mixed in, making the dish far too spicy to enjoy. For the price, I expected a proper, well-prepared meal, not bland pasta with barely any ingredients.
The overall quality was extremely poor:
Food always lovely but management rude
Food always lovely, but disappointed on our last visit! It was a promotional day where mains were 99p. I booked a table but when we arrived we were told by the manager, we only had the table for an hour as they had a lot of people coming! We felt this was rather rude and were not valued customers. Due to this we just didn’t bother having dessert, as felt rushed! Very poor for Prezzo, all customers should be allowed to enjoy their meal in their own time!
Hi to all staff a few things staff…
Hi to all staff a few things staff kept on dropping plates are the kitchen. Service was quick we started off with 4 in our group, the manager was very nice five stars for him. Sorry had to loose 2 stars for kitchen and waiter for taking wrong order. My son ordered a large gluten free pizza,
on arrival it was defo not a large pizza he was so so disappointed .
So we asked the waiter and he replied because it’s gluten free that’s as large as it gets on top of that it was so hard it nearly broke his teeth I tried a bit and couldn’t chew it. Then a member of our team ordered a LARGE pizza and got a small one they did supply another pizza. In my experience with other restaurants when ordering a large gluten free pizza you get a large gluten pizza the pastry is soft and fluffy like pizza express. I will say my calzone was nice could of had more meat filling in it. I used to be a pizza chef myself up in Newcastle myself many years ago i know what a pizza looks like calzone was good but the other 8/9 inch pizzas were totally over cooked. I did notice a few LARGE pizzas going out that looked good just a shame they got the order wrong, also the bill seemed a bit high.

Prezzo Norwich is great for gluten free food, love the sticky pig pizza, good service not to long to wait
Gone down hill
Gone down hill, not worth the money used to be nice, won’t be going back unfortunately, Brighton Marina
Overpriced and bad customer service
I am very disappointed with my experience at Prezzo in Edgware Shopping Centre.
This was actually the second time I said I would not return to this restaurant. However, as I have been a loyal customer of the Prezzo group for many years, I decided to give it another chance. Unfortunately, this visit confirmed that I will not be coming back again.
We ordered two pizzas: one large Margherita and one regular Margherita with three additional toppings. When the pizzas arrived, they were clearly mixed up. The regular Margherita with toppings was brought as a large pizza with Parma ham, olives and caramelised onions, but the toppings were barely visible. On top of that, we were charged for one of the most expensive pizzas on the menu, even though the toppings did not match any similar pizza option available, which was extremely frustrating.
The only positive aspect of this experience was the waiter who brought the food — he was polite and apologised.
I also ordered a pasta dish with prawns and salmon, but I specifically asked for it without salmon. The waitress told me she would ask the kitchen to replace the salmon with double prawns instead, which sounded reasonable. I also asked for very little fresh chilli, just enough to add some flavour, as I cannot tolerate spicy food.
What I received was completely different from what was discussed: a plate of pasta with only five small prawns (a normal portion, certainly not double as promised) and a whole red chilli pepper mixed into the dish, making it unbearably spicy.
For the price charged, I expected a proper meal — not a small portion of plain pasta with just a few prawns and an overwhelming amount of chilli. When I explained the issue, the waitress responded with indifference, which made the situation even more disappointing.
To be honest, the food was very poorly prepared, tasteless, and the portions were extremely small for the price charged. Overall, the experience was very frustrating and poor value for money.
I have been a customer of Prezzo for many years, but based on this experience I cannot recommend this restaurant to others. Unfortunately, the quality of both the food and service did not meet even basic expectations.

Visited in Aldeburgh ,only.4 staff 2in the kitchen ,and 2 in the Restaurant. So long a wait.and the food was not even hot when we did.get it, absolutely shocking
I would honestly give -5
I would honestly give -5, first of all we got DIRTY cutlery on the table, girl changed it and left it ON THE TABLE, didn't change the napkin it laid on.
Food tastes like microwavable packed food from a really bad brand - next day you feel nauseous.
Cake is cheapest cake you can find covered in low quality sauce
It took them 1.5h to take our order and they added themselves a service charge of £12 for nothing
Some crazy place. I wouldn't go back
Very disappointed with this place
Very disappointed with this place , I went to the restaurant in Cardiff , they often got offers and when I requested to use the free dessert they just said I couldn’t as they had too much people and they were busy to do it , I’ve asked to speak to the manager that was absolutely terrible and he said he wasn’t doing it as had too much people , and I asked could I have something else instead , he said no , I discussed with him the fact that they should have offers on the app if they aren’t willing to give them , he didn’t care at all , no apology either , so rude .
been going to prezzo for nearly 20 years never going again
been going to prezzo for nearly 20 years

its a shame they have gone downhill so fast the lasts few years high prices and poor quality poorly cooked food
Awful poor service - will not return
Visited prezzo in hull today - we were told there would be a half hour wait on food, we left the restaurant just over 2 hours later ! Extremely slow service, weren’t asked if food was ok, wasn’t offered Parmesan, not asked if any more drinks required and my husband and daughter had finished their main course before myself and son even got our pizzas - will not recommend and will not return
Great staff (JADE) good food, shame about portion size
My partner and I made an order for collection, Enfield Town Restaurant. Firstly, not only did the lady answer the phone with a very warming and welcoming tone, she went above and beyond to help us in ordering and collecting. JADE, was the name of the staff member. She was very friendly and was amazing to be able to understand ANNND INTERPRET what I was attempting to order as I get tongue tied and stuttery on phone calls.
When my partner came to collect, I was told she was very lovely and still just as friendly in person and not just phone. Jade made a WONDERFUL recommendation for the red wine we ended up ordering and it went fabulously with the salads we bought. just wish he'd bought 2!! I even rang the restaurant to thank her for the wine choice!
My only down side to the experience, the cost of 3 salads (one with a bit of extra chicken and changed the breaded chicken to normal) bottle of wine and the sharers tiramisu. JUST shy of £100. The salads are a lot smaller than when I used to order them and came with no croutons and didn't see or taste any of the cheese.
Food taste and the actual quality of the chicken, prosciutto etc has never been a let down always tasty. Shame for the money spent!
Guessing order date, I completely forgot to do the review at the time
Not the best food
We ordered pizzas all three were very hard to cut with the cutter the toppings were sparse also not very hot.
I had the Ravioli for near £20 I got 8 small packets, sauce and a lot of greens tasteless.. sweets... orderer a shared one, they bought 2 separate ones that cost £3 more..the service was good..

Lemon Meringue Pie disappointment
I have always loved going to Prezzo - particularly loved their lemon meringue pie ... but the supplier has clearly changed and what is on offer is now a cheap and far inferior product.
Avoid Prezzo if you are a coeliac …
Visited prezzo after receiving red letter gift voucher for a 3 course meal in the Rayleigh Essex branch. had an 6pm booking on arrival we were given a Set menu to choose from, my boyfriend is a coeliac ( I had looked online prior to booking and there seemed to be a good amount of gluten free options in the menu and I also asked if the 2 cocktails shown on the menu that we were given for the gift voucher experience were included to which our waitress said yes.
My boyfriend ordered the gluten free garlic bread with mozzarella and a gluten free pepperoni pizza, I choose a gluten free pasta dish. The garlic bread was no bigger than a saucer and probably half a mm thick but tasted ok then his pizza came up and it was again something that resembled a tortilla wrap with some tomato sauce and cheese / pepperoni thrown on top nothing like a pizza, apart from the shape, my gluten free pasta dish which was meant to be chicken mushroom in a creamy roasted garlic sauce was so dry I actually think they forgot the sauce. I can appreciate catering for people with allergies can be difficult but if you cannot serve up something decent that at least resembles what the customer ordered then you shouldn’t bother offering it at all. we also order the HOT chocolate fudge cake for dessert and there wasn’t hot about it not even lukewarm. This whole experience took over two hours as the waitresses seemed to forget we were even there. I would not recommend visiting a prezzo restaurant if you are a coeliac as it’s a rather disappointing experience
The manager At Prezzo Port Solent was most helpful …
The manager At Prezzo Port Solent Karolina was most helpful my wife has a shell fish allergy and they made every effort to help. The food was excellent, good portion sizes and well prepared, toilets were clean and tidy, seeing was good tables not crowded together.
Portion sizes have shrunk so much at…
Portion sizes have shrunk so much at Prezzo, I actually thought they'd mistakenly brought me a child's meal this evening. I don't eat large portions anyway, but the Arrabiata was so small I was still hungry afterwards. The pasta was also overcooked and disintegrated when on my fork. Disappointed in Prezzo, they used to be pretty good but not anymore it seems.
Good food but cold
The food was delicious and the service was excellent and tentative but it was so cold upstairs that I had to keep my coat on and zipped up while eating my dinner while still feeling cold.
Beware of sudden cancellations
Recently our order with Prezzo was cancelled on 30/12/25 via Deliveroo. I was dissatisfied about how the cancellation was handled.
Firstly I received an email informing me our order had been cancelled because of one item not being available. At no point did the man I speak to on the phone offer a substitute and when I made a request to replace the missing item I was rejected. I was then told if I still wanted the remaining items, I would have to go out of my way to collect it myself. Naturally I refused and even if I wanted to collect the food items, I did not have transportation. My requests to replace the missing food item and to have the food delivered was once again denied. To make matters worse, I was told a blatant lie that Prezzo does not deliver regardless of the fact that I had ordered through Deliveroo and have evidence to contradict his claim. As a result of their incompetence I am now financially worse off until the refund is paid. I have never felt so insulted in my life and didn’t even get an apology for their shambles of a service.
