AVOID! Want's Your Gov't ID Info!

Forces you to input your personal info, so you can't use this card anonymously versus other ones you can get at a gas station, variety shop etc. That's fair for security reasons. However, even if you do, it will ask you to log into a third party website and upload government ID. No way in heck I'm doing that. I guessed I lost out on my 25 bucks.

Almost, not quite

I DID get the email from you leading me to submit my documents, which I was able to successfully do. I appreciate the gesture. My personal ID and registered residency ID were accepted by the verification team and I was actually able to create my account! Yay!

Still, when I am trying to add the Digital Token I got from my employer by clicking on the “add payment” button from WITHIN MY ACCOUNT, I get the same old error message saying I was not able to be authenticated and that I should get an email asking me to submit my personal ID and registered residency ID. That email, as already you could guess, is not arriving. Ever.

ALL THIS WHILE I AM LOGGED INTO MY ACCOUNT WHICH WAS IN THEORY ALREADY AUTHENTICATED!

I responded to the first email I got from you guys with this issue 2 days ago and did not hear anything back (although the email was not marked as “noreply”).

At this point my poor 92 euros that I am trying to claim and that I got from my employer seems to be getting further and further away because y’all are gatekeeping it even though I have already been authenticated with my documents. RIP.

Horrendous company

Truly awful company,raised an issue because i couldn't access a prepaid card and they haven't dealt with any of the issue, instead essentially stealing the value of the card.

Total dogshit company

Total dogshit company, do nothing to help you access your own funds, was promised £250 cashback!! via prepaid card clicked the link in the email and the card/accoutn was instantly locked, customer service is total shit and do nothing but say wait for emails.

£250!! was promised to me before I paid for the product, can't access the £250 pointless!!!

All my colleagues gave money via this card and it is now all lost. …

UPDATE: Following my review below..I finally got through using phone number options on my card and was directed to mypaymentvault.com. by a real operator who answered the phone. This new website was navigable and I finally found my PIN under the left hand side list of actions/locations. I have now used my card with a local merchant, today, and it worked!!!!!! I am not impressed by this outfit, but it did work in the end. I did struggle to get to this point though, which I believe is wrong and so would avoid them in future.

I was given my work leaving present via this gift card. Now due to expire and I have been completely let down by this company. I have tried all ways to access to get. pIN but to no avail. This came off the back of Thank Box. They also are dubious in my view for allowing this. DO NOT USE. All my money collected from my colleagues after 40 years of service is now lost. This IMMORAL AND WRONG. 😑

This is a complete scam

This is a complete scam. I have been trying to use the cards several times and it has never worked. I then contacted them via the live chat and talked to 2 different people, neither was able or willing to help. Now the card is about to expire and I have to waste my money. Unless they refund me with a card I can actually use I am going to report this to Mastercard directly and tell them how they scam people. I am not giving up until I got to the bottom of this.

Forfeited $1000 without giving resolution

I had received 3 Mastercard virtual prepaid cards total worth $1000 through my employer's rewards program. Upon trying to use, I was told I need digital token which i didn't receive initially. Upon calling customer service, I was told it will be send and finally I received but then those digital tokens were not working to make payment. Interim I got medical situations where I was on bed rest most of the times and of course my health became priority. Upon getting better now, when I tried accessing It says the cards are expired. I have called customer service and they said I can get these cards replaced with a fees which I was still ok to pay and told them to send. Representative told me I will receive email in couple of hours but no email for 2 days. I called representative again and she said it is not eligible for replacement. What the scam, and how these representatives are inconsistent. I told them about issues with usage of digital token and my medical situation and why I wasn't able to redeem and they said they will try to escalate the matter and revert back to me. It is over a month now and no resolution.
I want my money back, it is not small amount it is $1000 which I earned because i worked really hard to get that money. Digital solutions didn't even have role to play except getting money from my company and issuing the card to us. You can charge your admin fee but you can not forfeit entire money of mine.

Corporate companies need to stop using their services. It is a rip off!!!

Fraudulent Behaviour

I received two Prepaid Digital Solutions gift cards through my employer's rewards program. Prepaid Digital Solutions put up barriers to me accessing the gift cards. They first required identity verification for both, which I provided, but then their solution required me to use a token to access my funds. They never provided a token. I emailed multiple times asking for the tokens, but no one from Prepaid Digital Solutions replied. I am out over £1000 because of this.

I am willing to amend my review if someone from Prepaid Digital Solutions contacts me to resolve this problem. Otherwise, I will escalate via the appropriate legal and consumer protection channels.

Money lost - fraud company

I have over $1000 split in 2 Visa prepaid cards that I barely use.d bc I’ve been in the hospital.
The card expired and I can’t get a replacement because there is no one to contact. I worked my ass off for that money and I demand a replacement card or I will report you to the BBB and call my lawyer on standby. I’ve been trying to contact over a year now. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.

I would not recommend using this company!!!!

Tried using my card came back with zero dollars and said card was expired. there was $150 on the card and now customer service, there is none. Cant call or talk to anyone. this company is fraudulent. I do not recommend using this company.

followed their response and still nothing works. I can't leave an email like they suggested. Still no one to talk with to resolve the issue. It is like they are stealing money!

Updated rating: Difficult to contact customer service/quick expiration

Horrible service! Cannot reach anyone to talk to. My $200 card expired after ONLY 3 months of being issued. That is garbage. It is written in VERY small print in the e-mail. Terrible!!!

UPDATE: Was finally able to find a phone number and talk to them. They reinstated my card for an additional 90 days. Changing my rating to 2 stars.

Ipsos Reid doesnt honor its rewards system

I have done surveys for Ipsos Reid for years. I opted for a pysical rewards card via Visa. It was for $47.
When I received it i had no idea it would have such a short shelf life for me to use it.

I had been ill for awhile and when I tried to use it it was declined.Because of the 10/24 expiry date. Now I have worked in Management for two banks in my career. Citibank and Amex.I have also been a merchant. There was nothing on the website when choosing a reward that indicated IF yoou order a physical card, you have x months to use it. Nowhere in the marketing. So for 2 months I have gone back and forth with the " SUPPORT" staff. Not only can you not speak to anyone, but when you send photos etc ...they dont care. I even called the Ipsos Reid office in Winnipeg, and unless you know the extension, you can only submit an email And I did that too. What a rip off..I agree with the other complaints..oh and now I see the website has a change in name....no matter how many names you rename , you are still wasting people's time in their good faith.

Unusable 2024 virtual prepaid cards

I had 2 virtual cards from 2024. One for $100, the other for $500 sent to me by separate companies. Tried using them and surprise, neither link works. The $100 says the card expired! What nonsense in Canada! The $500 card can't even be found in the system. Furthermore, customer service says nothing can be done since one is expired and they want the card number of the other which I don't have as that information is embedded in the link (which doesn't work).

This company needs to provide clear information upfront plus mandatory identifiers such as card numbers or token ids sent to the recipients. They're holding my money hostage and don't even provide necessary tools for users to claim their own money. My next step is to notify BBB of this incompetent/scam practice.

scammer

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this company. I had a prepaid card with a balance of $2,500, which never worked from the beginning. I reached out to their customer service multiple times, requesting a replacement card. Every time, I was assured that I would receive it, but nothing ever came through. Despite my repeated attempts to resolve the issue, I was left waiting with no follow-up or resolution.

When I escalated the issue by contacting BHN, they directed me to contact the company via email. However, my experience only became more frustrating as I went back and forth in communication. Initially, they told me that a replacement card would be sent after mentioning Canadian consumer protection laws regarding gift card expiry.

And now they are changing their stance. This was a clear attempt to sidestep my valid concerns and deny me access to my funds. The way this company operates seems dishonest, and it feels like they are simply trying to take advantage of customers and steal money by making it nearly impossible to get a replacement or refund.
Mind you this is happening since one year now

I am writing to formally dispute the forfeiture of funds on my prepaid card and to request a fair resolution in accordance with Canadian consumer protection laws. The funds on the card are my property, and I believe the forfeiture of these funds, without a reasonable resolution, is in violation of principles of fairness and may not be consistent with the applicable legal standards.
The amount in question is not a small sum—$2,500 is a significant amount of money. The loss of these funds without adequate recourse is unacceptable, and I am requesting that the situation be resolved in a manner that is fair, transparent, and compliant with applicable legal standards.
I acknowledge that the card has expired; however, I would like to bring to your attention that under Canadian regulations, such as the Prepaid Payment Products Regulations under the Bank Act, consumers are entitled to certain protections with respect to prepaid cards. These regulations are designed to prevent unfair practices, including the forfeiture of funds without adequate alternatives, such as reissuance, refunds, or an extension of the expiration date.
Additionally, the card was purchased with my AMEX card. I would like clarification as to whether this impacts the resolution process or whether it is relevant to any alternative options available.
Furthermore, I am seeking an explanation as to why this issue has been going back and forth. You previously communicated that the card would be renewed, and I relied on that commitment. However, I am now being informed that the situation is no longer being addressed as previously agreed upon. This lack of consistency and failure to follow through is concerning and warrants further attention.
I kindly request that you review my case and provide a resolution that is compliant with applicable consumer protection laws, including reissuing the card, refunding the balance, or extending the expiration date. If necessary, I request that this matter be escalated to a supervisor or legal department for further review and action.
If this matter is not resolved in a satisfactory and legally compliant manner, I will have no choice but to explore further actions, including filing a formal complaint with the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) or pursuing legal avenues for recovery of my funds.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. I expect a prompt and comprehensive response to ensure compliance with the relevant legal standards.

Avoid at All Costs – Fraudulent and Unreliable

If I had an option, I wouldn’t even give this company 1 star. Prepaid Digital Solutions is a complete fraud. I had two virtual Visa gift cards, each worth $100, and I couldn’t use them anywhere. I tried multiple online platforms and wallets, but they simply didn’t work. Now, to my shock, I see that the cards have expired, and the amount is gone.

When I contacted customer support, their response was infuriating — they said the amount was forfeited. Forfeited? How is that even acceptable? I was still trying to figure out how to use the cards! This company essentially stole my hard-earned money, and their process makes no sense.

I can’t help but feel this is a scam. Stay away from Prepaid Digital Solutions. They are unreliable, and their practices are questionable. Save your money and go with a more trustworthy option.
