As Dominic was pauly and its a very worrying time it was nice not to have to chase up our claim
Petplan and our vets worked together and we were kept informed of all the claim
No stress thankyou 😌

This has to be the best cover out there. No quibble payout for claims. Slight increase in premiums yearly to do with your pets age....no increase in premiums for claims.. if new and undiagnosed...Simply the only insurer I would trust with all my pets insurance needs.

Never had problems with pet plan dogs 18 now so I’ve not had a bad experience with them.

Claim was dealt with very quickly and efficiently taking a lot of worry away when vet costs build up.

I received a response to my initial claim in one day. A few days later it was approved and the money was in my account within days. The follow up claim was dealt with directly with the vet. Again the response was very quick, the settlement took a matter of days. It's an extremely stressful time when your pet is seriously unwell, to not have to worry about outstanding vet bills definitely takes some of that stress away.

I paid the excess, and Petplan handled the rest directly with the vets, which made the whole process incredibly straightforward. Communication was prompt, I received quick acknowledgement of the claim, and everything was resolved within just a few days.
When your dog is unwell and the vet bills are significant, it can be such a worrying time. Thankfully, choosing Petplan was absolutely the right decision. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for better support.
From start to finish, the service was exceptional, efficient, reassuring, and seamless throughout. I have already recommended Petplan and will continue to do so with complete confidence. Thank you.

My 8 month old kitten was bit by another Cat. It was a dad bite painful and extremely stressful for him so the vet Bill was quite big, Pet plan was so easy to use, the form was on line and took 2 mins, they communicated via email and paid my Vet directly, had yo go back after 2 weeks as my kitten was still in pain and discomfort, vets just added a continuation to my claim. Would highly recommend. No stress and great service.

My cat is nearly 16 now, and as he’s got older I started to notice he was slowing down a lot. He wasn’t jumping up on the sofa like he used to and just seemed less active overall. After a trip to the vet, he was diagnosed with arthritis.
He now has Solensia injections every 6 weeks, and honestly the difference has been amazing. He’s so much more like his old self again—jumping up, playing, even chasing my other two cats around. He’s much more active and is enjoying spending time out in the garden again.
The injections are quite expensive, and I wouldn’t have been able to keep up with them without Petplan. Because of the cover, he’s got his quality of life back, which means everything to me.
I’m really grateful for the support—it’s made such a difference knowing I can get him the treatment he needs without worrying so much about the cost. Thank you for helping me keep him happy and comfortable in his older years.

Decided on Petplan insurance to replace the breeders Agria policy as it was much cheaper. Was not expecting to make a claim for a newbie kitten who was an indoor cat, but six months into the plan she became unwell with intractable vomiting, whilst her sister remained well. Have no idea what happened to her, but after 72h was getting concerned. She required antibx, some blood tests and subcut fluids, twice, before making full recovery. Petplan were efficient and organised and I received full recompense (less the excess) within a week of making a claim.

We are very grateful to have petplan insurance. Within a week our pup was having pus coming from the top of his nose after antibiotics he needed an operation unfortunately this didn’t help. Swabs and more antibiotics followed with no signs of infection going. He was sent to have a scan that revealed he has a cyst near the base of his brain. The insurance has paid out on everything. I would definitely recommend Petplan to everyone. Thank you again

To be fair when we needed them 8 years ago their service was excellent and took away what could have been even more stress in a difficult time. However in the years since their prices have become absurd. We found comparable cover with excellent recommendations around working with vets and pay outs for £516 a year less.
Pet plan’s service may be great but they are very much no longer worth their horrific price gouging.

Whilst their premiums may be somewhat higher than other pet insurers Petplan provides unrivalled customer service and in my view are good value for money. My advice is to take up cover immediately you get your pet as their cover for life policies will cover new conditions forever.

Absolutely terrible for pet owners with no claims! Why are you trying to charge me £110 a month for a dog I've never claimed on?? I am absolutely fuming, I am trying to adjust my dog's plan and it is jumping in prices for absolutely nothing! Started in 2024 at £50 then £60 and now £110? I have never claimed! I know a lot of people are looking at other options in the market and petplan has got too expensive! Look elsewhere! We were absolutely fooled by our vets to use this service and I cannot understand why they would recommend this. There is plenty of other options. We are switching to animal friends for £21 a month!
The people at petplan need to get a grip with the costs and how they are pushing people away!

Too expensive. Genuinely considering cancelling. £38 a month they now want for a five year old cat with no medical history or past treatment needs. Its ridiculous. Its extortionate. Its pure day light robbery. My advice is to save your money in a high interest savings account.

Petplan give me peace of mind and remove the stress when my pet becomes ill. I trust them implicitly. I’ve had 2 pets registered with Petplan and my experience with both has been nothing short of excellent. I wouldn’t even consider ever using a different pet insurance company now.

We've had to make to make 3 claims for our dog (2 operations and 1 emergency vet treatment). Petplan has made the process of claiming so easy, kept us well informed througout the process and have closed out claims and made payments in a speedy manner every time. Very happy woth service recieved over the last 2 years!

We’ve been with Petplan for over 30 years- 7 dogs and two horses. I wouldn’t consider any other pet insurance company. Three of our dogs have had life long serious health issues. pet plan has never quibbled about paying the claims for any of them. This has ensured our dogs had the best and timely of treatments which enable them to live well and into their mid teens… not bad for large dogs! When we have a new dog come into our family, from the moment we sign them up to Petplan I feel as though I have an ‘arm around our shoulders’ helping to care for them. I would never consider going anywhere else for Pet insurance a nor would the many friends we’ve recommended Petplan too. They are simply the best!!

My 96 year old mum insured her dog,but due to the price doubling over the last 4 years has had to cancel it. From £85 per month to well over £200 per month yes she had a couple of claims, but the increases are ridiculous the older your animal the price rockets up, and at 96 taking advantage of the elderly. The charges cost more than the operation for the pet over 12 months so why do it ?

They are probably the best if not the least expensive insurance companies for pets
