Outlook Windows Ltd helped us take our renovation to the next level!

We've had Outlook Windows Ltd (based in Hertfordshire) come back for 5 projects now, each time working to the best standards!
First we had our windows downstairs replaced from rotten single pane ones to new composite sash double glazed - in keeping with the original style but built to last! Then we had our side door for the kitchen replaced, similarly updating Vs the old wooden one that wasn't safe.
Then we've had them back to do our windows upstairs to match our lovely downstairs. Now they are all the same style, colour and fittings rather than the jumble of original and plastic we moved into - improving our home value and energy efficiency.
Colin and Tyler are always pleasant to chat with and even bring their own hoover to tidy up after. We've not had any other builders visit and be so clean!
We were so happy that they were able to custom machine our architraves to match what we'd found original to the house that we asked them if they'd be able to do the same with replacing our skirting. Their carpentry was much better than our builders so we were glad to move that job to Colin and Tyler rather than our builders (loft extension project on the go too).
Lastly, we also asked Outlook Windows to fit our new doors internally, including regulatory fire doors, as again trusting them to do a better job than our builders. The doors are perfect of course! Much care was taken, with some adjustments needing to be made for our inconsistent frame sizes.
Thank you so much for your hard work but also your advice and care.
(I've put Feb for the latest date, but they've been helping us for the past 2 years!)

Great experience with Outlook Windows Ltd…

The team at Outlook Windows Ltd designed and built from scratch our large garden room. Colin was excellent throughout, helping with the design choices, advising on the best windows and door options and overseeing the entire project. We've been delighted with the results and it's provided a valuable addition to our property. Thanks for such attentive end to end service. Would definitely recommend. Our experience is in complete contrast to other reviews listed here.

outlookwindowsltd wish I had NEVER used you

They installed a back door for us which wouldn't close, and said they would be round the next day to put it right, but they still haven't been back, and it's been more than a month. I have to put a chain and padlock on my backdoor now, and it still doesn't close properly. A triangle piece of glass in the door is also loose. outlookwindowsltd I wish I had never used you. Because I paid in cash there's nothing I can do. More fool me. It's all in guarantee, but when I phone them they just lie, and say they have no record of doing the work. They are disgraceful people.

One star is TOO MUCH for them

One star is TOO MUCH for them. Half would be generous. Zero would be accurate.

The bow windows they put in have filled with condensation, and the handles feel very loose. They also cant be locked, the locking mechanism is all seized up, so the keys can't go in. There are marks on the frames, and i'm convinced they have put in old windows they took out from another property.

I thought because they were a FENSA registered company they would be decent. How wrong I was.

They are cowboys, use them at your own risk

Bad company. Shoddy materials used.

Bad company. Shoddy materials used. After just 10 months the seals around the windows are failing, and one window has dropped on its hinges slightly, so when opened it falls inwards, and is hard to close. Phoned and written to outlook windows ltd, but they refuse to offer any support. Im currently dealing with FENSA, a regulatory body for all double glazers in the uk. Very disappointed. Hemel Hempstead has better glazers, seek them out.

Atrocious Company !!!!!!!!

Looks like Outlook Windows Ltd have another dissatisfied customer, and another one who wishes he'd done a better online search regarding their service before using them. The curved wall of our living room had proved problematic for many glazers when they looked at it. Outlook Windows Ltd however were confident that they could put in a set of bow windows, which would accommodate the curvature of the wall. I was a little shocked when the workmen arrived (4 hours late) and took over the living room, carelessly pushing furniture aside, and demanding my wife bring them all tea in a rude manner. They broke a nice old vase we had standing outside, and one of them was smoking in the living room. The work was completed on time, and looked very nice, but during heavy rains later that month the windows were leaking. We emailed the company, but they never replied, and it took many phone calls for them to finally come over. The workman actually walked into the house smoking a cigarette, and put ash on the floor. After looking at the window he phoned his manager Mr Welling. My Wife and I were just standing in front of him while he had a personal call with the manager, which was full of foul language, and insulting comments about "stupid old people." I just couldn't believe it. When I asked him if he was going to be much longer he made a face at me, and walked out to his van, and drove off. Our window is still leaking, and the company won't do anything.

Outlook Windows Ltd are TERRIBLE

My wife and I had always dreamed of having a conservatory. Enjoying a cup of tea in a sunlit, spacious area, luxuriating in a radiant, peaceful auditorium. This was the dream - but Outlook Windows Ltd have left us with a nightmare. They seemed confident they could do everything, from laying the foundation, to designing the conservatory, then supplying and fitting the structure itself. We were told it would take around a month to complete. Well, six months later and we have what can only be described as a derelict, water logged 'structure' attached to our house. The ground of the conservatory is all uneven, the frames are warped and ill fitting, and many of the panes of glass are broken. My wife is too upset to even look at the monstrocity, which is overrun by insects and rodents. It is unfit for human inhabitation. Outlook Windows Ltd have given us promise after promise that they will put this right, but now don't reply to my emails. I am beginning to despair that we will ever have our conservatory. Our dream has become a nightmare. Hopefully trading standards can help us.

Outlook Windows Ltd = Terrible Service

The double glazing in my bedroom has glue marks and a big handprint on the INSIDE of the glass. It's impossible to clean off. I noticed this as they were installing it, and the fitter told me it would "evaporate away after a day." Well it's still there 3 months later, I can't see out of my bedroom window properly, and it's right in the middle of the glass. They are rude over the phone, and a dishonest company.

Outlook Windows Ltd - Do NOT use them

How can it be that this company is FENSA registered? It's been less than 6 months since they fit 2 sets of bay windows, and the paint is cracking off the metal. One window actually rattles in its frame. The old wooden windows I had in before were better than these new ones. I contacted the company, and they said someone would come round to inspect the issues, but they never showed up, left me waiting all day. Now they dont answer my emails, and must have my number blocked. I tried phoning them from another number, and when they discovered who I was they hung up. Im not one to leave reviews, but had to in this case. How can this kind of behaviour be legal?

Never use this terrible company

I really wish I had checked the reviews of this company before getting them to do work for me. I've recently had a sliding door fitted by them, and the very day they installed it the thing came off, almost falling onto my son. I phoned them that day, and they assured me I'd get a call back in an hour or so... but nothing. Someone finally came round to inspect it, but i've heard nothing since. I got a builder friend to have a look at it, and he said he's never seen such shoddy work, the top and bottom runners aren't even parallel, so the door was going to fall out. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.

Terrible experience using Outlook Windows Ltd

I've not had a good experience using this company. We ordered a pair sash windows from them, and paid in advance. After numerous cancellations they finally installed the windows, this being more than a month later than the agreed installation date. There was no apology for the delay, they were just very casual about cancelling at the last moment. One window has never closed properly, while the other always requires a considerable amount of force to be opened. I've contacted the company about this problems, but they don't seem interested, despite the windows being under guarantee. I feel like they've taken our money and have been content to do a sloppy job. I've reported them to trading standards. Look elsewhere would be my strong advice.

WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER USED - BEWARE!!!!!

They are a very bad company. After less than a year of a set of bi-fold doors and casement windows fitted, everything seems to be falling apart. The handle on one of the windows broke off in my hand, and the doors have warped, needing a LOT of force to close. I immediately contacted the Outlook Windows ltd, and was basically told that all the issues are down to me, that I must have broken the handle by using excessive force. I informed them i'm in my 70's, and have chronic arthritis, so how on earth could I have snapped the handle off? Don't know but it's not our problem was their reply, then they hung up. I've been emailing the company owner Colin Welling, but he doesn't seem to care at all. I requested him to come round to see the windows and doors but he said there would be a call out fee that must be paid in advance. SHOCKING COMPANY NEVER EVER USE THEM.

Outlookwindowsltd = Worst customer service

Never in all my life have I received such appalling service as that provided by Outlookwindowsltd. Two years ago a bedroom double-glazed window installed by Outlookwindowsltd developed a fault, refusing to close completely. After writing to the company I was assured someone would be round to inspect the problem. This person never arrived, so I took a day off work for nothing. I received neither explanation nor apology for this missed appointment. This was but a grim introduction to the many many problems that lay ahead.

I was later assured by email that Colin Welling, the managing director of outlookwindowsltd, has "agreed to carry out all works and supply replacement works free of charge."

It has now been TWO YEARS, and nothing has been done. During the interim many employees from the company have been to inspect the window, later informing me by email messages like “I have sent further photographs to our supplier regarding the required parts for your window;” but then months would pass, and I would hear nothing.

I received a visit from Colin Welling himself in June of 2022, more than a YEAR after I raised the issue with them. He reiterated the information in prior correspondence, assuring me to my face that the work would be fixed for no charge, and soon - within just 2 weeks! I foolishly believed him.

My partner and I both suffer from asthma, I informed Colin Welling of this by email, informing him the cold and noise caused by the defective window was affecting both our mental and physical health. We live by a busy road, one of the reasons I decided to upgrade to double glazed windows in the first place; the other being for health reasons, cold air aggravating the lungs of asthmatics. My partner is a teacher, and has informed me the sleep disturbances caused by the cold and noise has negatively affected her work.

For two winters now my partner and I have been left with a bedroom window that won't shut. Expensive heating bills have meant we are often freezing through the winter nights. We have attempted to fix the window with cardboard and tape, but the cold air and noise cannot be kept out.

I have contacted trading standards, FENSA (a government-authorised scheme monitoring building regulation compliance for replacement windows and doors), along with the Double Glazing and conservatory Ombudsman regarding the despicable “service” provided by Outlookwindowsltd. I am also in dialogue with trading standards.

This is the first review I have ever left on trustpilot, or indeed any website. I honestly didn’t believe this kind of abominable service could be provided by a UK company, but perhaps I have been naive. I have many many emails proving everything I have said here is true, and will be happy to share them should anyone dispute my account of what has transpired.

To anyone thinking about using this company, I would STRONGLY caution them against doing so. It takes a particular kind of person to refuse to fix a bedroom window, to leave a couple of asthmatics sleeping in a bedroom through two winters, to lie to their faces telling them the problem will be resolved “within 2 weeks,” then wait NINE MONTHS before announcing he has no intention of fixing things. This is how Colin Welling, the managing director of outlookwindowsltd behaved.

If we had not been strung along for so long we would have paid another company to fix the bedroom window at the outset, but the litany of false promises provided by Outlookwindowsltd led us to believe that it was always soon to be repaired.
