Bloody scam last year. I'm trying to sell some old notes and one local Malay guy and one African involved in scamming me. I lost 150 ringgit

Since then till now 2022.
Mudah still have bunch of scammers around.
Whenever you post advertisement. There are a lot of scammers whatsapp you saying they can pick up front door. But will need send a link to you through email. Once you click the link in email. Your disaster is coming.
When mudah can be like carousell. At least carousell will banned the scammers account next day.

When I read a number of critical reviews (majority of one stars) who encountered unpleasant experience, I could feel how they feel.

I registered quite recently and Mudah was my first place to sell my items online. And I used to be one of those who had the same complaints and sending feedback emails to Mudah to reflect what I experienced.

Like some of the reviewers here I also encountered similar cases (my personal opinion based on experience) when I newly registered and posted the very first adv. within hours a numbers of oversea "buyers" will keep sending message showing interest and keep talking to you and it really seemed they are "genuinely" at the beginning they were so keen to buy your stuffs without much negotiation.

These numbers some were as far as California-registered when I checked their area codes online, while some are locally registered and residing here or Singapore but they are mostly foreign nationals in South East Asia regions targeting on inexperience Mudah users. I suspect they monitor Mudah platform for newly registered users and get those inexperience be hooked on?

They usually will request they will arrange a shipping company to come to your doorstep to collect the item / items by sending you an email attached with link. Please DON'T click on these or you will be falling trapped. And I almost became a victim for my first post and luckily I had prior to check with one of my friends and he told me what should be taken notes of and be avoided.

With a second thought, I quickly "woke up" I was dealing with a group of scammers at the same time and immediately blocked the contacts to avoid further annoyances.

Since then, I only received mainly the local buyers and successfully sold off some of my items when dealing with the right approach and the right people.

I am not saying then some (including myself) could handle and get rid of scammers completely, but since this is a free-trading platform which is comparatively flexible and easy to navigate.

Bear in mind the transactions in Mudah platform is easier and a lot more flexible. You can get a trading done with some messages / calls to lock in the final agreement of purchase between buyer and seller pretty quickly. Seller - buyer free to interact without going thru a middle agency to monitor each transaction / payment.

Given the flexibility of its facilities (you can publish a wide range of products at ease), at the same time of the given freedom of trade, so be it seller / buyer must be practicing cautions when dealing with each other.

For private selling, COD will be the safest but this limits primarily to meet up locally as it's quite impossible to meet up crossing state as it would be a waste of time and money when the deal would be unsuccessful. This is one of the drawbacks of the platform I personally feel.

I give 4 stars as I feel MUDAH should in the registration page to put in some ALERT notes to highlight in "RED" to catch new user attention the risk , the scammer style of tricking new users. Upon registration, in the confirmation email again should make some statements on top of email again to remind what should be noted to get rid of scamming.

We can't avoid scammers completely, but being cautiously vigilant will help to get rid of them safely.

Stay away from Mudah.my! All you get is Whatsapp message from Scammers, odd numbers claiming themselves from Singapore, Nigeria. They will keep praising you and say okay to whatever price you offer to sell. Who on earth does that when they buy expensive thing? Hope no one ever falls into these scammers' stupid tactics. I do not feel safe at all after registering to sell my furniture on Mudah.my. Carousell is a much better place with genuine buyer and seller.

Can’t even post an item on the selling list

A lot of scammers asking for TAC code the moment I post my advertisement. If I wasn't vigilant enough, I would have been scammed.
This is a stupid unreliable site.

Not good to buy online.

This place not safe anymore to buy online. So many fake seller and buyer.

They are good advertising for house, car and job only.

For seller. Free ads difficult to approve. So many rule.

If u topup pay ads difficult to approve ads. Couple month no submit ads bcoz not approve ads, all topup money are gone forever. You should refund back to seller. Moron.

Leave this site forever.

the customer service doesn't make sense. bad experience with app on ios. the website can be used by scammers, fraud, etc. developer could've provide comments option on every ads. see what others have to say on particular ad

Recently I find that this website lead many low quality potential tenants that do extensive shopping for cheap house rental that waste much of the property agent time.

I bought trolley with a Seller which called Mr. LEE TIAM CHAI and RECONFIRM 3 TIMES the date of receive he promised that can delivery on the date punctually so I paid him with the delivery fee since I make whole payment.

After that, he said that it will be delayed to send me and advice me to wait or self collect from Suppliers since I m urgently need that stuff. It is the bad 1st time and is my last time purchasing experience in MUDAD.MY.

Personal ads are FREE as per their terms. So I posted ad of my personal item for sale. In the same time i registered a paid store (Pro Niaga) too for my work related as this is business related.
What happen next my personal ad has become refused and blocked. Send emails and not help much, at the end call them directly to find out.
To cut short, Customer service guy said are you operating a store? The reasons your ad refused because you got paid store so why don't you place your ads there!!!!!??
What the hack, for personal is free and you want me enter the ads in paid store? So means you can't sell your personal stuff there ...the whole things is "No Money No Talk"
Customer service guy are rude and not helpful. Kept repeating saying Am I answering your questions, Am I answering your questions, .......

Easy.!! 99% true sellers and can meet actual seller in person.
