Absolutely ridiculous customer service…
Absolutely ridiculous customer service and fulfilment. Bought 5 outfits. 3 arrived with missing items (no dupatta), and in addition one was missing a button and was dirty (likely worn by someone else). Called the number and the lady put me on hold for 5 minutes while loading up the computer only to tell me that someone will reply to my email in 2 working days. Won't buy from here again.
Do not buy from
I would strongly advise people to think carefully before purchasing from this company.
We purchased a “RBY-137 Tye & Dye Crepe 2 Piece Co-ord” suit and, after receiving it, hand washed it carefully on its own in a bucket of cold water. The purple dye immediately ran onto the white sections of the outfit, ruining the suit after a single wash.
When we contacted customer services, instead of showing any willingness to help, they simply pointed to a generic “dry clean only” disclaimer hidden elsewhere on the website rather than clearly displayed on the actual product page before purchase.
What made the experience even worse was the attitude and professionalism of the responses. One member of staff actually stated:
“a basic rule of tie and dye which they also teach in schools is it can not be washed as the dye will run.”
This was incredibly patronising and unprofessional. Customers should not be spoken to in this manner simply for raising a legitimate complaint about a product becoming damaged after a basic cold hand wash.
If a garment genuinely cannot tolerate even careful cold hand washing without the dye bleeding everywhere, that warning should be made extremely prominent on the product listing itself before purchase — not buried away in a generic disclaimer page after the item has already been ruined.
To make matters worse, after requesting a proper resolution to this issue, my final email has simply been ignored for over a week. Rather than attempting to resolve the complaint fairly, the company appears more interested in blaming the customer and avoiding accountability.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience:
- Poor product durability
- Dye transfer after one careful wash
- Hidden or unclear care warnings
- Dismissive and patronising customer service
- Ignoring customer emails requesting resolution
- No meaningful attempt to resolve the complaint
Update my response to Memsaab’s response:
For clarity to anyone reading this review, the “dry clean only” instruction appears in the fine print on the website and effectively operates as a broad disclaimer. This was a £19.99 suit, and I believe most customers purchasing a budget-priced outfit would reasonably expect to be able to hand wash it carefully without the garment shrinking or the dye running. Expecting customers to pay approximately £15 each time for dry cleaning on a low-cost outfit is unrealistic for many buyers.
It is also worth noting that this item has since been reduced further in price from £19.99 to £15.99, which raises additional concerns regarding the quality and handling of the product.
In addition, the company has failed to properly address my follow-up correspondence. My escalation email sent on 28 April was ignored, despite their public responses suggesting otherwise. Throughout this process, I have found the customer service to be unprofessional and poorly handled.
As a result, I will also be sharing my experience across other review and social media platforms so that other customers can make informed purchasing decisions.

Went to Memsaab recently after ages and honestly, what a unique experience! It’s still such a special place to shop for Asian outfits – the variety and style really stand out. But the highlight of my visit had to be meeting Auntie Sameena – the sweetest ever. She was so warm, helpful, and made the whole experience feel personal and memorable. Definitely reminded me why I loved coming here in the first place. Can’t wait to go back again!

"Shopping for clothes with Samina at Memsaab is always a great experience! She knows exactly what suits you and makes sure you leave happy with your purchase. The clothes are stylish and good quality, and Samina’s friendly vibe makes it even better .
Great Customer Service and Stylish Clothes
I used to be a regular customer at the Memsaab store so when they went online I was super upset but yesterday I tried their one on one service where you get dedicated time (a full hour) where you are shown items of your choice, get to try them on and you get to take your friends and family with you. What made it even special, aside from the amazing customer service the range of fashionable clothes, I got to see sister Samina (owner of the store) after ages and she made the one on one service even better...will definitely be going back there soon

Products good, service too slow
Quality of products is nice. Items are as pictured but biggest issue is they do get orders wrong a lot. Customer service takes forever to reply so if you order for Eid or special occasion you know it is no way going to be sorted in time, and mostly itnis a mistake on their part (wrong items or style sent even though styles or order are clearly selected).
I returned an item that they sent which was not what I ordered. Return was received by them but no refund was sent. It's inconvenient when you are busy and have to chase something that should have easily been done, especially when it wasn't even your own mistake.
A lot of hassle if something is incorrect. If not, products are generally of good quality.
Delayed customer service
Terrible service.it has been over a week. The refund has not been given I have emailed numerous times with no avail or response for my refund to be given. Over numerous emails back and forth with the company. My refund was finally given. However I will not be shopping from this company again.
Fantastic service from Smena and such…
Fantastic service from Smena and such a vast collection . Definitely worth a visit to try items on. Thought was going to be hard choosing but found something immediately
Many thanks
