KitchenAid…DW does not clean and Fridge failed.

6 years ago I bought KitchenAid fridge, range, and dishwasher. The dishwasher never cleaned dishes even on Tough cycle unless clean going in. The fridge failed after 5 1/2 years, they tried to blow-out the cable but it did not work. I needed to purchase a new fridge. Very disappointed in a brand I used to respect and recommend.

I bought a blender from kitchen aid and…

I bought a blender from kitchen aid and it was under a 5year warranty. After half that time it began leaking oil. It was returned for repair and two days later sent back to me with a repair slip saying nothing was wrong with it. However the fault persisted and it was returned again. This time it was written off as unrepairable and would be scrapped.
I was told to send my account details for a refund to be paid back to me but after a month of numerous emails and phone calls to kitchen aid I still have not received my money back. They just keep saying they have not received my account details, yet they received all my emails about the fault with the blender.
Now I am considering legal action.
I will never purchase anything from kitchen aid again.

It is the 4th February 2026?We are now two months into this dispute and I have still not received my refund. They have kept my property and scraped it, leaving me with nothing to show for the £275 I spent in good faith with Kitchen aid again.

I bought this and immediately after my…

I bought this and immediately after my husband told me he had already bought it for me as a surprise. I contacted KitchenAid within a few hours to try to cancel, and they told me no because it had already shipped. This was clearly false because tracking didn't pick up for another full week, but it was my error so I let it go. Once I received it, I went online to request a return, and it said I had to contact customer service for a return. So I tried to use their chat, and that also wouldn't work. After waiting 30 minutes for an agent on the chat, I called instead. They gave me a return label, and I returned the product in its unopened box (also in their unopened shipping box). It was confirmed delivered and signed for at KitchenAid a few days later. After a week I received no notification of return in process or refund, so I contacted them via chat and after waiting about 30 minutes was told that they were delayed in processing returns and it could take a bit. I said okay and asked how long it should take, they told me to wait 3 weeks. I asked if I would be notified that the item was processed or refund started, and they said maybe. After 3 weeks I still had not received my refund or notification of refund, so I contacted them again, waited 30 minutes to talk to someone again, only to be told they were still processing refunds and mine hadn't been done yet. I told them they had both my money from the initial purchase over a month and a half ago, and had possession of the item (completely unopened) for over one month. This was plenty of time to process a return, I asked for a manager and waited another 20 or so minutes. The manager told me I was refunded and should see the return in 5-7 days. It's now been 7 days, and I still don't see a refund. Not only has this been extremely time consuming and frustrating, but KitchenAid still has both its product and my money. So anyway, beware because if you have any issues you may be out of luck.

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating…

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with KitchenAid’s espresso machine and customer service.

My first machine stopped working out of nowhere. I was sent a replacement, which also didn’t work properly. I was then told I’d receive a third machine once I returned the defective one. I sent it back and waited over a month with no update.

When I finally called, I provided the FedEx return number and was told the issue had to be manually fixed and that everything was “good to go.” Shortly after, I received a receipt for the wrong item—a food processor. That mistake required yet another call, including a 45-minute hold, just to fix their error.

Since then, I’ve been on the phone many more times just trying to get a box to ship this godforsaken machine back to them. Each call is time-consuming, repetitive, and goes nowhere.

At this point, I’ve spent more time dealing with support than actually owning a working espresso machine. The product reliability has been terrible, and the customer service has been an even bigger disappointment. I expected far better from a brand like KitchenAid.

Terrible TERRIBLE terrible

Terrible TERRIBLE terrible. We purchased a complete appliance package when we bought our home 3 years ago - double oven, range, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave. Everything has broken at least once.

The inside glass of the double oven literally exploded. It sounded like a gunshot and customer service refused to replace the product, simply saying “don’t use the self-clean setting with racks in it.” Of course, I’ve heard of the racks getting discolored (and I probably should have removed them), but I’ve never heard of that causing an explosion!

The dishwasher has broken no fewer than 6 times. The range doesn’t get to temperature, and we’ve had multiple service calls because we get can smell gas.

Most recently, the fridge and freezer decided to stop working. It’s always fun to throw out all of your food.

The only item that’s worked the entire time is the microwave - conveniently the least expensive item - and I’m sure that’ll kick the bucket sometime soon.

It’s sad because you THINK you’re getting a higher-end product, but that’s definitely NOT the case. If you’re getting any type of kitchen appliance, do not get KitchenAid.

KitchenAid Gas Range Control Knobs Have Systematic Manufacturing Defect

This is a review of the KitchenAid Range - Oven/Stove Surface Burner Control Knobs (Stainless) KFDD500ESS00 for Range Model #KSGS330SPS.

My KitchenAid gas-powered kitchen range unit for these knobs is brand-new, and already all five original knobs have developed cracked center-shafts that cause them to literally fall off the front of the stove.

I've bought two replacement knobs at $50 each, and the same defect has happened with both of them as well.

This is a terribly dangerous a safety hazard. This range model should be recalled, based on my experience. I expected far better quality from the KitchenAid brand. Since this is clearly a systematic manufacturing defect in these knobs, I've done my own (hopefully permanent) repair, as follows.

On each of the stove knob shafts, I've installed sturdy heat-shrink tubing. The tubing holds each of the shafts together, in one piece, even if plastic shaft is already cracked.

I sure hope this works as a permanent solution.

Somebody should tell KitchenAid that these knobs, as they are currently manufactured, are garbage, and that somebody's going to get killed at some point, when a burner is running and the knob with a cracked center shaft falls off and they can't get the burner switched off.

No refund for my return after 4 months

I bought a Kitchenaid accessory for my countertop mixer, and after seeing the low-quality plastic material it was made of, I returned it. It has been almost 4 months ,and I have still not been refunded for my return. I know that the product reached to the warehouse months ago. I followed up multiple times to receive the same answer again and again. Never buying Kitchenaid products anymore.

Juniper Major appliances

I ordered 3 appliances at the start of Nov. first delivery was delayed due to production issues then when they arrived mid Dec fridge was really damaged. Delivery guys said to give the stove a day before plugging in as we were experiencing a deep freeze in Edmonton (-30 degrees). When we peeled all the tape off there was damage where cooktop meets the oven.
Took one month with multiple “production delays” for replacement.

We had no appliances over Christmas

Still have not received our fridge just repeat “production delays” phone calls

Worst customer service ever

Paid for a mixer online and received an email confirming my purchase. When I called to follow up 10 days later, they advised me the yellow mixer was out of stock. The lady on the chat told me to buy one somewhere else! No explanation of why they had taken my money or why they hadn't email me to explain there was an issue. This was for my daughter's 21st birthday. Really disappointed and won't ever buy from them again.

I ordered two KitchenAid Artisan mixers…

I ordered two KitchenAid Artisan mixers recently (one purchased directly from KitchenAid). Unfortunately, both had to be returned due to faults straight out of the box — visible signs of prior use on one, and chipped paint on the other. For a premium brand at this price point, the lack of basic quality control is shocking. It honestly feels non-existent in the UK.
When returning the mixer purchased directly from KitchenAid, I was explicitly promised that if I reordered, they would honour the same price I originally paid. However, when I tried to place a new order, I was met with an unhelpful customer service representative who had a dismissive attitude and simply stated that there was “nothing on the system” about this promise — end of discussion.
Between receiving faulty products and then being treated poorly by customer service, this has been a very disappointing experience. KitchenAid markets itself as a premium brand, but based on this experience, the quality control and customer care do not live up to that reputation.

Heavy-duty mixer that actually holds up to real use

We’ve been using a KitchenAid stand mixer in our home for a long time and it’s one of those appliances that just keeps going. It handles heavy doughs, mixing, and baking prep without struggling, and it still runs smoothly after lots of use.

The build quality is what stands out most — it feels solid and not disposable, which is rare for kitchen gear these days. The bowl, attachments, and controls are all straightforward and easy to work with, and it’s held up far better than cheaper mixers I’ve owned in the past.

It’s not the cheapest option, but based on real-world use I’d absolutely buy KitchenAid again.

Horrible customer support

Horrible customer support.

You start a chat and ask a very precise and clear question, citing product product numbers and SN.

And then you wait, and wait. And eventually you leave it open to not be blocked (that's the nature of chat: asynchronous).

Then you realize later that a CS "rep" responded 30 to 45 minutes after your last message with those exact terms: "are you there? Since you're not there, I'll close yhe chat."

So you just lost your time and did get an answer to your question.

I have had a KitchenAid for many years

I have had a KitchenAid for many years. Over Christmas it broke so on New Years Day I ordered a new one through their website - order number KKD-1600210914082-01. It's not arrived here almost two weeks later - it's stuck in the DPD hub at Hinkley in England. I live in Scotland. DPD told KitchenAid they had tried to deliver it twice but that is not what is shown on DPD's own tracking and it has never crossed the border let alone had delivery attempts. KitchenAid have been worse than unhelpful - they have REFUSED to cancel the order and start again until they get it back! I didnt buy it for fun, I bought it to USE. Customer service is awful. AVOID.

KichenAid is not what it used to be. AVOID them.

I purchased a dual oven microwave combo at the end of November. The microwave has not worked since day one. After two service calls, and frustrating attempts with KitchenAid customer service (or lack thereof) they informed me that KitchenAid cannot get the parts needed to fix the KitchenAid appliance. Now I'm stuck with a brand new, non functioning appliance, still under warranty, and no resolution. The chat bot tells me to send them a DM to fix it, but that DM chat bot replies after 4 days asking for more info that it already has, and provides no resolution.

This website should be shut down

This website should be shut down. It is completely messed up. They charged my husband twice for the same order. He called immediately to cancel one of the charges, but they refused to cancel the order that was not supposed to go through. Instead, they still shipped it. It took a long time to arrive, and once it did, he returned it immediately for a refund. It has now been almost a month, and they still refuse to issue the refund. It has been a total hassle from day one, and now we are forced to escalate the issue with the credit card company.

I have been waiting over 6 weeks for a refund on a food processor that was returned to KitchenAid unopened. Are they are so backed up with returns that it takes this long to open a box and check it for damage? I've called multiple times for status. Are they receiving so many complaints that it always takes over an hour for an agent to respond? I've even waited a long time for an online chat person to respond. The answer always seems to be they are working on it.

Deserves zero stars

Deserves zero stars. Period. Absolutely unacceptable that a dishwasher's pump and motor needs to be replace in less than three years. And yes, we periodically clean out the filter, etc. After reading other reviews, this is clearly a known defect and yet they continue to sell a $1200 dishwasher (KTDM604KPS1) that doesn't last even 3 years. After waiting 1 HOUR on the phone for customer service, the rep tells me there is "nothing she can do for me, however, she can offer me a discount on a new dishwasher"! Wow, what a business model! How pathetic can a manufacturer be? To Kitchenaid mgmt - try making a product you can actually stand by!
