I ordered a mixer and received a…

I ordered a mixer and received a resealed, clearly used and dirty item. I returned it, assuming it was just a one-off mistake, and placed a new order. Unfortunately, the second product arrived in exactly the same condition — resealed and used.

At no point was it stated that these products were refurbished, returned, or anything other than new. If I’m paying such a price, I expect a brand new item, not something previously used by someone else.

I now have over £800 tied up while waiting for returns and replacements, and it feels like I’m stuck in a loop of sending items back and receiving the same unacceptable products again.

Very frustrating experience. I just want the new product I paid for, or a proper resolution.

Kitchenaid customer service appalling…

Purchased a replacement blade for my meat grinder. It didn’t fit so Kitchenaid requested the blade and attachment to be sent back for repair. This was in February and I cannot get a decent reply from them. Have escalated via my bank…🤞🏾. Worst Customer service ever encountered….

Charlatans

How interesting. I came to review my experience and expected it to be unusual, but blimey people think these guys are rubbish!!!

And they are.

They falsely advertised a mixer as being in the sale at under £500, but when you put it in your basket it kept coming up at over £700. Rang customer services "oh that doesn't happen when i do it' - yeah right.

Emailed - completely ignored it, then suddenly that mixer wasn't for sale any more.

I'm fairly certain they're breaking the law with this, but having seen what terrible products / service they provide from otehr reviews, I think I dodged a bullet!!!

I have a new food processor missing parts, no help given

I have a new food processor, arrived very quickly. I have used it once and so far no problem there, although compared to my kitchenaid in USA it is quite plasticky and clunky. However it works. What is the issue is customer service. There was a part missing, one that I may not have used that often, but still I paid for it.... I called, they said write, I wrote and since then..... crickets. I will call again tomorrow. I was asked for a customer feedback after purchase via email. I responded with one star but stated it was because of poor customer service. They rejected the email!!! I may have to talk to you and yours on the bbc.

God save us from this hassle.

I purchased a stainless steel mixing bowl (4.8L) and a whisk attachment from KitchenAid. Delivery was prompt, which is the only positive in this experience.

Unfortunately, the two items were not compatible with each other, let alone with my mixer. This is quite surprising for a brand like KitchenAid, as you would expect some basic compatibility checks or clearer guidance when purchasing related products.

I returned both items together in the same parcel. They refunded the whisk (£29.25), but completely ignored the bowl (£74.25), despite both items being sent back at the same time AND SAME PARCEL!!!!!!

After contacting them, I was told that their returns department confirmed receipt of both items. However, I was then passed back and forth between multiple departments (returns, finance, etc.) with no resolution. It genuinely felt like the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.

After wasting enough time chasing this, I had no choice but to initiate a chargeback through my bank. I’ve now received my money back, and I’ll leave their internal confusion to them.

Very disappointing experience—poor coordination, slow resolution, and not what you expect from a premium brand.

Stole my money

I returned the item and Kitchen Aid confirmed they received it on the 13th January, it is now 27th of March and despite many emails from Kitchen Aid saying they understand my frustration they have still not refunded the £115 and have given no reason as to why the haven’t. I think their emails are just written by AI.

extremely disappointed

I am extremely disappointed with both the product quality and customer service from KitchenAid.

I purchased a machine for around £500, and after only four uses, it stopped working properly, the motor was running, but the attachment was not rotating.

I contacted KitchenAid and returned the product for repair. However, when it was sent back to me, it came with a new issu: a loud, abnormal noise that was not present before the repair.

I reported this immediately and provided video evidence. I was then asked to send the machine back again. After the second repair, the product was returned still faulty, and this time the noise was even worse.

So at this point:
• The product failed after minimal use
• It has been repaired twice
• It has been returned faulty both times
• New issues appeared only after their repair

I requested a refund or replacement, which I believe is completely reasonable given the situation. However, this was refused, and I have instead been asked to send it for a third repair for faults that were not even originally present.

This is simply unacceptable. I am left with a £500 machine that does not function correctly, and no proper resolution offered.

As a result, I will now be proceeding with formal legal action under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Very frustrating experience. I expected much higher quality and customer care from a brand like KitchenAid.

I just purchased a KitchenAid classic…

I just purchased a KitchenAid classic mixer for £349.
I do a lot of baking and a week into ownership I am starting to think these mixers are mostly purchased by posh central London mum's who have never even had flour in their mixer. But instead buy them as colour coordinated kitchen accessories.
The mixer is ok. Noisy..over priced. Poorly constructed. Reading the reviews I'll stick with it as spares and adjustments are easily sorted. I imagine the warranty isn't worth the email it's written on. Either way my mixer will certainly get a workout. eBay is awash with them. The only reason I bought new was the warranty and judging by other reviews that looks worthless now.

Don't buy

£140 pounds for a handheld mixer, less than two years old and has died. Kitchen aid say it is out of warranty and nothing can be done. It's barely been used. Disgusting service, no reply to my initial email either. Unfortunately my husband has just purchased a stand mixer for me as well lets hope that works ok.
If you want a reliable hand mixer go with Kenwood, thankfully I never got rid of it and it's been going strong 10+ years and still don't cost a fortune.
The appeal of the Kitchenaid was the 9 speed setting.

I'd give less than 1 star if I could

I'd give less than 1 star if I could! I'd always heard how amazing kitchenaid are, clearly those days are in the past! I bought a rather expensive 'Artisan' coffee grinder, it broke after just 1 year of use. Despite offering a 5 year guarantee (part of the reason I bought it) the only option I have is a refund. No repair, no replacement. I asked what was wrong with it, why it couldn't be repaired.. they didnt even bother to answer.

Poor products and appalling customer service - do not buy.

Kitchen Aid are supposedly a top-tier, reliable brand. Their website is littered with self-congratulatory braying such as “renowned for high-quality manufacturing” and ”high-quality standards”. Yet should you raise a product quality issue with them, you will find yourself out in the cold. Nearly as cold and uncaring as their customer service team who will use words like “strive” and “aim’ as convenient disclaimer weapons against you.

There is a lot of suggestion towards high-end quality and customer support pampering in Kitchen Aid’s marketing, but my factual experience with Kitchen Aid is very different. After purchasing an eye-wateringly expensive mixer at £549, surprisingly it arrived with enamel chipped off and generally tatty enamel finish. After inspecting my photographs, Kitchen Aid agrees the mixer has a sub-standard enamel finish and offers a refund.

But I don’t want a refund. I’d quite like a mixer that doesn’t look like its done two decades in a cooking school. Oh no, says Kitchen Aid, we don’t allow exchanges. Kitchen Aid suggests a 'return, refund and buy again' course of action, so I ask for reassurance from them that - after the inconvenience of struggling to pack up a rather hefty lump of metal and various attachments - the enamel on the replacement mixer would meet the high quality Kitchen Aid pride themselves on. No, no, no say Kitchen Aid. We couldn’t possibly reassure you of that. I’m left feeling puzzled as to why Kitchen Aid allegedly have little confidence in meeting their own quality benchmarks.

As a business owner myself, we make every customer feel like they are the only one we have. We give them zero reason to go elsewhere. We know that customer retention gives the best ROI on marketing spend, but as a recent customer of Kitchen Aid they have made me feel like they don’t need to make me feel valued after I’ve emptied my pockets. Kitchen Aid are labouring under the misapprehension that a full refund = customer satisfaction. How bizarre.

Due to Kitchen Aid not being able to confirm I could get actually a mixer with a decent enamel finish from them, I find myself with an admittedly robust yet aesthetically sub-standard product, that I paid full-price for, and they really couldn’t give a fig about it. So unless you like to pay over the top for less than 100% quality, and get treated like a second-class citizen - don’t buy from Kitchen Aid.

DO NOT INVEST IN KITCHEN AID

DO NOT INVEST IN KITCHEN AID. Kitchen aid are expensive, you think you are buying a product that is worth it. I have just got off the phone for the 3rd week in a row with a friendly but seemingly incompetent bunch of people who are only able to follow unhelpful procedures. I have a pricey blender with a jug that started leaking from the bottom, it has a 10 year warranty but the jug itself is not made anymore. I have been told they will sort this out and someone will be in touch. Knowone ever gets in touch. I wait a week and then I ring again and have the same frustrating conversation. I am apparently unable to talk to management because the agents aren't allowed to put me in touch, and yet the agents just say the same thing. It's incredibly frustrating, I won't be purchasing from kitchen aid again and if I can advise anyone to steer clear I would. I have a £300 blender which is unuseable, don't trust this company.

Customer Service came through

I found that the 3 cordless kitchen appliances are great and so very quiet. I did have an issue with getting a spare part which has taken quite some perseverance including a stinky review on Trustpilot, but overall I am still pleased that I bought them.

Toaster replaced under guarantee. 1st class service

We bought our toaster just over 5 years ago. A couple of weeks back i noticed that when moving the temperature slider it was tripping out the power circuit.
I rang them to ask about repairs and when they checked my account it appears that on top of the standard 5 year guarantee the supplier i bought it from had added a further 12 months. The guy on the phone emailed me a returns label I sent the toaster back and less than 2 weeks later a new one has just been delivered!!!
Customer service has been world class both on the phone and by email. I see somewhere reviewers are reporting bad experiences, but in total 1 dealt with 5 different people and they were all brilliant.

Unacceptably poor customer service

The following is a copy of a review I posted on the KitchenAid website;

“Product delivered with minor components missing, clearly quality assurance at the factory was ineffective. The mixer was delivered with one of the five feet missing, still useable but unstable when the head was tilted up. Simple fix I thought, but the process of requesting rectification was protracted and required the whole machine to be returned to the factory for correction with no estimation of timescale given. After numerous emails asking for more information to enable return I gave up and bought original parts to fix the problem online at my cost. No offer of reimbursement.

No, I would not recommend purchasing this product, especially when whilst preparing this review I note that their T&C’s expressly note that no criticism of customer service should be made.”

This is the second mixer we have owned, and we had been been very pleased, but, honestly their customer service process is ridiculous, demanding I send the whole machine back without any idea of timescales. I

Not even 1 star

I don't believe they are even worthy of the one star that seems required. By far the worst customer service, and my story is long and drawn out, I have dates and names etc etc... but the gist is this; they answer your phone call, and someone promises to help and get back to you and they are empathetic and really seem to mean it. But no one does get back to you, you are constantly chasing them, no one helps and you never get the same person twice. They are a nightmare, as is the company they use for repairs (this all began because the repair company used a courier service that broke my original machine in two thus making it unrepairable.) I will never use them again.

Not good products

Not good products. I purchased many kitchen aid appliances and all have developed faults. Mixer won't switch off, has to be turned off at the socket. Toaster keeps turning on, so again need to keep socket off. Blender leaked, I replaced the glass jar then motor stopped working as liquid damaged it and finally on my third kettle now, it needs pressing twice to boil. They all look nice in candy apple red but very disappointing for cost.
