I bought a KitchenAid range directly…

I bought a KitchenAid range directly from their site and what should have been a straightforward purchase turned into a nightmare. The delivery was late, the product arrived damaged, and trying to sort it out with customer service was impossible. I spent hours on hold, only to be shuffled between departments that never had answers. When I finally reached someone, they offered no real help — just vague promises and excuses. For a brand that charges premium prices, this level of support and product quality is unacceptable. I expected reliability but got endless frustration instead.

Terrible customer service

Free delivery on items over £75, so they deliberately make their reduced bowls 74.25 with massively inflated delivery costs (12.50).

I tried to cancel when I found out the same product was much cheaper with free delivery on Amazon but one of their support lines was disconnected. The other number I found said they had too much traffic so I should cancel via email.

Sent email but then the next day got an email saying they had shipped the product (ignoring my cancellation).

They say you have 15 days to return an unused item but representatives manipulate the policy and understanding to their advantage. There's long wait times and you cannot get anywhere with customer service and they purposely put you on hold even longer. The website has the return policy that is not being followed by Representatives.

The customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. I called 6 times before I got help, The minimum wait time was 1/2 hr, maximum 1 1/2 hours.
I returned an unopened mixer, it was received 12/22, I am still waiting for a refund 6 weeks later.

Terrible customer service

If I could put no stars I would. Kitchen aide would not stand behind the dual range 36” stove we bought that was not packaged right and was broken. You would think that after paying $7k on a stove they would pay for $160 part. Very unhappy with my experience with them. Buyers be ware!!

customer support is terrible

Trying to install a semi-commercial range hood fan #UXB1170KYS. According to building code it must be interlocked with a make-up-air unit. I have spent a couple hours getting dropped, dumped and looped on the phone trying to get through to someone who knows anything and am now on hold again. They simply tell me to consult the installation guide which says nothing about interlock. KitchenAid customer support is a complete waste of time

Absolutely Horrible! Life and Time Suckers!

Absolutely, unequivocally, without a shadow of doubt, THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE....EVER! If you want to spend hours of your life, listening to hold music only to be disconnected, then try the "chat" method they offer, only to be disconnected if you don't type fast enough, then try and call again, only to spend another hour on the phone, trying to get to the same department, then KitchenAid is the company for you. My dishwasher is three months old and I have yet to use it. Can't get anyone out at the times I'm available, and can't get any other resolution. I will NEVER order appliances through KitchenAid again.

Defective unit out of the box - KitchenAid ignoring consumer law

I have been a dedicated KitchenAid fan for years, relying on my trusty 5KSM125 for my daily baking. When I upgraded to the new 5KSM193, I expected the same "iconic" performance. Instead, I received a machine that feels like a downgrade in every way.

The Issues:

Motor Distress: Right out of the box, the motor has a metallic, "sick" sound. It sounds like it’s about to burn up during standard use.

Heat Issues: The head of the mixer gets incredibly hot within minutes.

Performance: There is zero torque compared to my older model. It struggles with dough that my previous machine handled effortlessly.

Poor QC: No difference in speed between levels 8, 9, and 10. This is clearly a quality control failure.

Customer Support: Even worse, after reporting these major defects immediately, customer service tried to hide behind a "14-day return window," ignoring my legal rights regarding defective goods. They are refusing a refund and pushing for repairs on a brand-new, premium-priced machine.

KitchenAid used to mean quality for life. Now, it seems you only pay for the color and the logo, while the motor inside is subpar. Truly disappointing.

Used Appliance Shipped as New

I purchased a new KitchenAid 5.5-Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer (Contour Silver) from Best Buy and received a unit that was clearly used. The box was not factory sealed and the contents were loosely packed inside.

Upon opening the package, I found multiple signs of prior use:

• Wrinkled instructions and cut accessory sheet
• Food residue on the mixer
• Scratched mixing bowl
• Used flat beater and wire whisk
• Flat beater damage from bowl contact
• Tarnished wire whisk
• Broken and damaged internal packaging
• No protective plastic on any components

The dough hook was the only item still sealed, indicating the rest had been previously opened and used.

Best Buy stated the unit was shipped to them from the manufacturer in this condition, which raises serious concerns about KitchenAid’s quality control and fulfillment practices.

I returned the mixer after one day. A used appliance should never be sold or shipped as new.

Don’t understand why it takes 30+ days for a refund on a countertop appliance they received a month ago. Not to mention it’s a LONG wait to speak to customer service, and they’re pretty unhelpful. All I got was “I understand.” Like ok good talk. I’ll just keep asking every week when I’ll get my money back for the rest of eternity.

Horrible warranty wont cover the defect

Just move in to the brand new house with new kitchenaid vent hood. The vent started to go off (very loud) for no reasons and its no way to turn off manually. Kitchenaid sent an incompetent tech who doesn't even know how to take off the vents. I took them off in 2 seconds. He spent 95 percent of time reading the owner's manual, and then at the end of time he said the vent is acting normally based on what he read, so his job/inspection is complete. He asked me to sign off the invoice which I of course refused. He didn't fix or try to make any repairs. He looked like he doesn't know what he is doing besides reading the manuals. He tried to get away from needing to make repairs by saying this is all normal that the vent turns on by itself (what?!). Buyers do not be fooled by Kitchenaid's 1 year warranty. They will not fix any defect.

The return process is a joke

The return process is a joke, sent mixer back in Dec and have called 3 times for status on the refund. Told each time they showed the mixed at the warehouse but due to weather issues it hasn't been checked in?!? Can't even complain since they're so big no one cares. I will never buy anything Kitchenaid again due to this experience.

kitchenaid oven/micro combo… cooling fan issues

We bought a kitchenaid oven/micro combo in June 2024 and paid $7200. Did not buy the extended warranty. Now we have an Error - cooling fan - F8E0 and the oven doesn't work. I called the service department and they offered two options. 1st - buy a one year warranty for $900 (OMG) or have the service tech come out and basically roll the dice on the cost to repair. I am very disappointed as we have been long time Kitchenaid supporters (last two units) and to pay that kind of money and to run into issues just a year and a half after purchase.

This company is fraudulent

Ordered an attachment for my stand mixer in December and after hearing that it has burned the motor out of other people’s mixers I decided to return it. My return was received on January 8th. I have called to ask for an update in which the support person was rude and gave no reassurance, basically said it is what it is. I will not be repurchasing from this company again, this is fraud. You have my money and my item, sounds like FRAUD to me.

There was a price listed on their website for a certain blender, to which i took a screenshot because I was going to buy it and they basically called me a liar even though I sent them the screenshot with the price The original price showed at $134.99 the website showed last night the same blender at $81.00. Do not expect them to honor their own prices

Blender missing the Blender Attachment

I am very frustrated with this company. I purchased a refurbished hand blender and when it arrived it was missing the whole metal blender attachment. The product is completely useless without it. It was also missing the plastic cup lid. When I called the customer service line, I was told the part I needed was discontinued and directed to call the repair line to see if they had the part available. It took me 2 days to reach them and they finally said they don't have the part. I now have to ship the item back and they are shipping me a replacement. I bought from Kitchen Aid because I thought they were a reputable company, but clearly I should have done my research first. My advice is to buy products elsewhere.

Wrong item delivered.....

I ordered a mixer as a Christmas present . The original delivery was pretty speedy. However, it was the wrong item - a blender not a mixer. I only realised this when I was preparing to wrap it.

It took three weeks to get a solution, one month to get the replacement. No admission of liability, no apology, return required before correct more expensive item despatched.

polite staff but appealing service.

The mixer works well but can't recommend the supplier .

KitchenAid doesn't operate efficiently costing us money!!!!

When it comes to customer service if you are looking for action with KitchenAid you are not going to get it! I have been waiting for a refund now for two weeks!! It all started with they do not do exchanges for color of mixers! What? So, I ended up having to purchase another and of course not at the sale price I received when I purchased three yes three mixers. I had to pay a higher price just to get a different color. Then they submitted a request for the return of the other mixer. This was on a Friday I didn't get the shipping label until Monday I went straight to the store and shipped it back. They received the mixer 1/7 and yes, I still do not have my refund! I have called three times once the first week 1/9, then 1/14 and then today 1/22. Still not checked in the mixer. I am very disappointed in this vendor I will not be purchasing direct from KitchenAid in the future and if I were you I wouldn't either.
