A shambles from start to finish. After breaking down on a french autoroute with family, my experience with green flag mostly featured waiting in queues for phone to be answered (around 3 hours in total), and having to work out myself how to get my family home as green flag and it's french partner did not offer any tangible or practical solutions. They never called me back once to update me or even ask if we were safe, in a hotel etc. I had to do all the work. At one point they suggested they were going to sort out travel home for me, but nothing came of it, and after waiting for hours for some kind of action or update, I had to sort it all out myself (and pay up front for everything) to avoid being stranded for the night. The only thing I can recall they actually did was arrange the pickup truck to take the car to a garage that didn't know if they could fix it or not. If I couldn't just about get by speaking french, it think we might still be there. Only today, 2 days after arriving back (again after zero contact over weekend), has some action been taken - again after I had the call again. I'm still flabbergasted that no one even bothered to get in touch to enquire as to whether we made it back safely, or at all. To compound everything, the UK and french parties kept giving contradictory information about who was responsible for what. They were not joined up at all.

My experience has always been first class, nothing is too much trouble,and they always go the extra mile to help.thats why my wife and myself are pleased to be members,like.american express cards,dont leave home without it, knowing you got peace of mind.

I was stranded when my car broke down being an older person and on my own I rang for help and was given a approximate time after which I contacted yourselves and was told extremely busy traffic was causing a delay and gave me an update I and my car was taken to my choice of garage for repairs
