If I could leave zero stars I would

If I could leave zero stars I would. Booked auschwitz two weeks before travelling and in the day I was leaving uk they cancelled saying auschwitz was closed due to a political event. When I arrived at my hotel I discovered it was not closed at all they sell tickets when they don’t actually have them available, unfortunately it pretty much ruined my trip as they was the purpose for my visit to Poland.

3 Booking Experiences with GYG

We booked several events with Get Your Guide on our recent trip and found them to be prompt in responding to issues that crop up. We added an extra person at the last minute on a sold out tour and they were able to accommodate with the tour provider. A Mt Etna event was cancelled due to snow and we had to purchase a more expensive tour option at the site. I am still waiting on getting a refund from Get Your Guide, but they have at least acknowledged the issue. All three tours that we took were well organized and informative.

Get your Guide was recommended to us

Get your Guide was recommended to us. Down loading and using the app was super easy. You could look up areas of interest and save them for your trip or just go ahead and prebook it. Never had an issue at any of the sites we prebooked and had a great time. Mostly, Get your Guide is just easy to use and they tailor your options to the area that you are going to. Highly recommend.

Puglia Italy tours

we used GetYourGuide exclusively in Puglia Italy. I have gone with Viator in the past but this site seemed to offer more what I was looking for. Every tour we planned worked out well. will use them again

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with GetYourGuide and would not rely on them for important plans.

I booked tickets for Madame Tussauds London for my children the day before our visit. The tickets were supposed to be delivered via the app but never arrived.

On the morning of the visit, I contacted customer service and was assured the issue would be resolved within 10 minutes. Instead, I then received an email cancelling the booking entirely due to a “technical issue.”

This left me with children ready to go and no time or funds available to arrange an alternative activity, as the money had already been taken.

While I have since received a refund, this does not make up for the disruption, stress, and disappointment caused. The only compensation offered was a 10% discount code, which I found completely inadequate given the situation.

The handling of this issue showed a lack of reliability and customer care. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when booking time-sensitive activities through this platform.

use Booking.com or viator especially in Rome

We had booked the Pantheon tour for April 25th with them who then used “Tour in the City Rome” to provide service.
All seemed fine until about 2 weeks before when I was contacted on WhatsApp. At first I thought I was being scammed but turned out it was legit (really wasn’t clear) to say it couldn’t be done on the Saturday. I checked their website & they were still taking bookings however after they tormented me on WhatsApp I rescheduled to the Friday at 9am …long story short GYG contacted me a few times to say the meeting point had changed & for some reason the iPhone then moved the calendar booking to 10am…not their fault but the last reminder email was sent at 9.30am that morning to remind us of meeting point. We turned up at 10am only to realise we were an hour late…again I admitted this was my mistake however literally NO solution was offered. That’s my biggest issue. This must happen and as we were standing there it became clear not everyone from the 10am group had shown up (probably for above issues I had) so I suggested could we pay in ourselves separately & meet guide inside or perhaps meet another day or get a voucher for another tour (ie any other good will gesture). Simply no alternative offered. It was £78….i then contacted their Rome office to ask why I wasn’t contacted that morning when we didn’t show for 9am (the guide was phoning people who hadn’t shown for 10am) “Tour in the City Rome” sent me a cheeky reply on WhatsApp saying I had asked not to be contacted by WhatsApp… I had asked them to stop tormenting me about original booking and names after I had altered the booking online.

Long story short- use Booking.com or viator especially in Rome as I had booked everything else though them with absolutely no problem whatsoever.

Be aware of trusting all the 5 star reviews! I booked 3 trips with getyourguide, 2 were amazing-one not so much. My 2 5 star reviews were posted, but conveniently my 3 star review still isnt showing. Ive complained to them but got some excuse and told my review was there-it isnt.

Happy to be introduced to this website

Happy to be introduced to this website. Have always gone with Trip Advisor or Viator, but after reading the reviews about this company, not to mention the cost of our tour was less expensive, I booked the tour and am very happy with the cost, how organized our tour was and most especially our tour guide, Adam.

Maya Bay (The Beach)

Booked online the day before, from quite a remote area of the island, but managed to check in at main port just 12 minutes before the boat left for Maya bay, no issues, relaxed, laid back boat crew, few stops before the main event, unforgettable experience, and I've been to a few, has to be a top 5 beach globally. Water and pineapple for snacks - £14 pp plus 400Baht for foreign nationals to enter the main bay, very worth it.

Awful

Awful! Charged me twice for one experience then refused to refund my card! When asked for a refund tried to fob me off with gift vouchers.

Due to their awful website and booking system telling me the booking had been unsuccessful.
So I tried again, only to be told I had booked twice!

They took just shy of an extra £300 from me and refused to return it.

Slow customer service response’s and unhelpful. Used to work for one of these companies so wasn’t putting up with their clams they couldn’t refund me.

Avoid like the plague.

It's a must but...

The most I like were the easy way of avoiding all the stressful traffic around the area and both castles are amazing. However, the information about the castles' schedule is not avalaible. This issue forces to you to pay the expensive commission plus the tickets. It is nearly the double of the standard ticket. One hour visiting Brasow is not enough, specially if you have not eaten al all.
