I’d like to thank Claire at the Gatwick…

I’d like to thank Claire at the Gatwick south terminal passport gates.
Kind, compassionate and very helpful. For me it’s very difficult that everything has gone online, and couldn’t find my flight barcode. Claire really stepped up and managed to find it after a few non results. Thank you Claire. Really hope you get to see this. You are great.

Gatwick Airport the pits

Gatwick Airport needs to solve the problem of transport of to and from the airport I have come back twice on a Sunday recently no trains, replacement buses and no trains after 23.00 hours into central London, if you have planes flying into an international Airport you need to be able to get people in to London and to there onward journey. There is never anyone to help at the train station, national express is a waste of space. How can you use and airport that you are unable to get on going transport from. Are you not able to set up your own transport link into central London - Gatwick Airport has a very bad name the staff are not at all customer focus - again just employee Eastern Europeans would be my answer.

Extremely Unprofessional reception…

Extremely Unprofessional reception secretary had an isolante and rude talk. It's sharp lady with a sharp tong and has zero professional level to be working on direct contact with the public. The reception staff blocked my access to the REAL ACTUAL management department and they block and reject my message or to listen to me. This person felt free to talk. And not to listen and by the first seconds of talk on the phone she was already showing her intentions by saying we are not British airways. This person felt free to talk and to assume this only because I asked for support. Hilton hotels have protocols and standard for health and safety and this has target me and my 74 years old mother like a thunder when I am only concerned with her DIABETES MEDICATION. And I was treat rudely and insolently by you staff I will to make a written complaint because since then this person is not answering my call back to the hotel not caring for my mother or our both psychologic and moral rights. I feel that even with no words there is a malicious intention from your secretary because nobody does such thing. Beside that she played narcissistic with me by trying to turn my help requests and support against me telling me repeatedly that - WE ARE NO BRITISH AIRWAY by her own and only assumption. Please do a full investigation since I'm moving forward with this complaint.

The quality of the staff is not keeping up with new developments

Nice airport, new facilities, served purpose. But my feelings about the employees there were just conflicted. Some employees are really kind and understanding, while the others are completely against it. At the entrance to gate 102, I saw a young employee wearing an ICTS unitform. I tried to get directions, but I was completely ignored. When I asked him, he just looked at me and walked away, as if I did not excite him. That is very rude and unprofessional.

Manager of the security is not professional at all. He let his employees scream at the customers, and if you say it’s bad customer service he needs your informations, and then he don’t want to say what he needs the informations to.

Don't use Fast Track Security if…

Don't use Fast Track Security if possible, seriously guys don't. I had no choice but to purchase Fast Track Security because my train arrived cutting it fine (first train out of the day from the Sussex Coast) and arriving in Gatwick South - I went straight to Fast Track Security but here's the clincher - on the 10th December they had one guard on manning two Fast Track queues and he seemed to be giving the other queue more access at least three times faster than we were. Top the lot, I was stood helplessly behind Lord and Lady Shitpants who were fuming about not getting Gold Standard VIP treatment and being rushed through ahead of everyone else "We've paid £18 for this and we should have been the FIRST Ones out ahead of all these freeloaders!!!" (The insinuation was there heavily as they nodded at the rest of us in the queue - we paid too!) By the time they were allowed to pass through the barrier, the older man legged it leaving his prune faced sour puss partner to start issuing threats and she was getting to the point of throwing punches with her skinny skeletal frame and hyper dark frizzy hair bouncing worse than badly done candy floss on a stick. (She was one ugly creature) She stood in front of me and refused to let the rest of our queue move! I was fretting because I still had a flight to catch, the security line ahead of us was clear yet Mrs Selfish Dildo headed Prick 2024 was stopping the guard from letting any more of us get through. I intervened and said to the guard, we REALLY need to get through, the way ahead is clear but we're not moving! (Another word for Girl Dog) face turns to me and begins to say something to me but I push past her because by that time - I just need to go! She tries to collar me for a punch up as we're putting our stuff through the x-rays but thankfully another security guard grabs them and rushes them through because they are an actual security threat (by the way she's still yelling incredibly nasty stuff at me as she's being rushed through) I go through thinking that's the last I'll see of either of them but I get through without a hitch and unfortunately they've chosen to slow down to check the booze out in duty free and I'm running to my gate because thanks to her, I have got to rush straight there (she wasted twenty minutes of my time, not her own) so I run through just as she turns around and I blindside her by yelling another word for "Girl Dog!" in her face and then I'm gone before she could react!

I DID catch my flight and No they were not on it (be just my luck, that not only would they be on my flight but they'd be my row seat mates!) and I got to Ireland. I felt sorry and second hand embarrassment for the guard who got a bollocking off her that left him within an inch of his life left but Gatwick needs to put more staff on the Fast Track Security lines - one guard for two lines is simply not enough! I won't be doing Fast Track Security again whenever I can possibly avoid it because to be honest - the people going through the normal security lines got through a hell of a lot faster than we did.

As for the chavvy couple - I hope that they were refused boarding onto their flight because of her disgusting antisocial behaviour! She probably made her flight crew's lives a misery too!!!

Institutionalised incompetence…

I’ve been waiting for my luggage for more than an hour without any information being provided. This is a pathetic level of service from what should be a leading company.

If i could i would put 0 star

If i could i would put 0 star. Using many airports gatwick airport experience is just frustrating. If you like to have a meal inside of the airport - plan to go there many hourse before. Not because many people were in airport but because how unorganized the scanninh area were. Families with children standing forecer just to move a meter.
Finially getting to body scan. Which i declined as i can opt for hand scaning, but i was told i have no choice. After stepping into machine which i was coerced into i was told that i did have a choice but i would of been escorted for strip search. Which world they live in i have no idea but following rulles and regulatuins seems to not be their strongest point. Furthermore airport doesnt display our rights and choices, which is surprising for british culture.
Recently traveling through Dublin airport there were clear signs displayed that body scans can be declined and one can opt for hand search.Over all i will try to avoid this airport.

Be careful using Gatwick North Duty Free…

My wife purchased goods yesterday at Gatwick Airport North Terminal Duty Free as New Year Gifts , this included a bottle of Bailly's and jewellery.

She used self check out but a member of staff took the goods away to be put in a sealed bag out of her site. My wife asked to open the bag to check all the goods were there but she was told told this was not allowed .

Upon her arrival at her destination she open the bag toto find the only contents were the bottle of Bailly 's. All the jewellery she purchased and paid for had not been put in the bag by the member of staff. I have tried to contact Gatwick North Duty Free to complain without any luck.

Thieves and scammers

They tell you where to park, North short stay, but not which carpark, this covers carpark 5 and 6, still not sure which one is right, we chose 5. They never told us to look out for Premium parking area which I think I noticed coming home yesterday on floor 3 or 4, so we ended up right at the top. The barrier didn't raise on entry, so I had to take a ticket. Then when we were leaving the barrier wouldn't let us out, I contact them with the call attendant button and it seems we were 25 hours late because

Exit isn't midnight on the 28th it's midnight on the 27th, so their website is very confusing, I bet they make most of their money from this confusion as they charged me another £50 to get out. So basically they are disorganised, very poorly signed, very poor info from the website as to exactly where to go and they steal your money. A horrible experience never to be repeated, I will never in my life again use Gatwick Airport for any flights and I recommend you avoid this airport at ALL COSTS.

Baggage destruction

My suitcase weighed just over 10.2kg to Luxor Egypt. On 19/12 when I picked up my case one of the small locks was missing. Luxor to Gatwick on 26/12 the catch holding the locks was broken and the case had dirty black marks on it. I always use Gatwick. This was the first time I had this experience. I will be claiming. Disgusting baggage handling.

WARNING the pick up parking…

WARNING the drop off or pick up parking charges automatically pay does not always work.
Picked up one day, charge went through. Dropped off two days later and the auto pay didn't work. Nothing changed or wrong with the card but first I knew about it was £60 fine seventeen days later!!

As things like train strikes have forced us to pick people up by car, flights we have taken are before trains start etc I feel we are being victimised for a poor transport system at Gatwick.

Every toilet I went into had no hand…

Every toilet I went into had no hand wash, I brought this up to the workers and they looked at me as if I was simple “so what”?
Seemed to have urine splattered all over the walls and floor in the first toilet I was in while the workers stood outside chatting. Bogging.
