Excellent quality futon.

I was looking for a put you up bed and passed the Futon Company shop. There was a good selection to see and the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I took all the information I needed and returned the next week to make my purchase.
I had the bed delivered. It arrived promptly, and was easy to assemble with the right fixings and tools included. I am very pleased with the bed, it’s good quality and looks good in my spare room

Ordered online for store pick up, super easy, friendly and helpful staff. Bought a couple of other furniture items in store - the quality is fantastic! Worth every penny and very impressed.

This review is based on my experience so far with delivery and product quality, though I’ll happily update it depending on how my complaint is handled!Let's start with the arrival. The package turned up covered in dirty footprints, suggesting the couriers used it as a handy doormat while climbing in and out of their van. As you can imagine, footprints aren't the best look for a brand-new pine bed frame.

Upon opening it, I counted at least seven obvious dents and scratches. I emailed immediately to ask for a partial refund, and followed up with a phone call. The customer service agent was lovely and polite, reassuring me someone would be in touch on Monday since the warehouse is closed at the weekend.

Thinking ahead, I decided to assemble the frame anyway, figuring the company would prefer a quick refund over the hassle of collecting and swapping a heavy item. Sadly, the universe (and the manufacturing) had other plans. The wooden pegs and bolts simply do not align in one corner. So, as it stands, I can’t even fully assemble my beautifully pre-scratched, pre-dinked bed frame.

I’m still hopeful someone will get in touch on Monday to resolve this amicably. Fingers crossed

update: After receiving a replacement frame, I am raising my rating slightly as it was in much better condition, though it still arrived with a few minor dings. My main disappointment lies in the overall manufacturing quality. For a brand that appears to be fancy/high-end, the uneven wood stain, misaligned pilot holes, and poorly pre-cut components feel decidedly average. While I would be incredibly disappointed if I had paid the full retail price of over £600, the sale price of £300 feels like a fair and accurate reflection of what this bed frame is actually worth.

Customer service yielded results, but the one email per day to arrange re-delivery was quite slow and painful.

Great quality and design of items from this company.
I have had a series of excellent bamboo furniture that is easy to assemble and stylish.
Online ordering, there is a long gap to pickup in store so order ahead of when you need the items.

You products, as ever, are very good and of high quality so am pleased with the Futon Company. However the delivery service you sub contract, APC, is truly shocking as regards delivery time reliability and overall service. Your continued use of APC is enough to make me stop buying your products, which I really like. Have bought a lot over the years. Friends I have have similarly had bad experiences with APC.

Great experience start to finish at the Cambridge store. Very helpful staff, on time delivery and great product.

Purchased a very comfortable futon bed and matress from here. After trying the matress options I went for the firm double sided matress. Which has been great for back support. The bed frame design is simple, elegant. Under bed storage drawers are great tool, and happy with the wood finish. Really happy with this, 6 months on its proven a nice buy. The bed is self assembly so it takes a bit of time to put together but sturdy once done

I'm very pleased with the furniture ordered and it fits my living room very well.
The delivery service of a small oak table I ordered was poor. I was in my property when the van arrived, but the driver left very quickly before I had a chance to answer his 'phone call.

Ordered a round Kashmir lamp. Looks pretty but most bulbs ( even mini candle bulbs) either don't fit through the aperture or are too tall for this small round lamp and scrape on the top. The only bulb I've found that fits is a pygmy bulb . I think the description should specify this .

Company was very professional service was great collected from store staff very helpful but sadly the product for me and my wife was so uncomfortable that we have used them once and could never sleep on them again so uncomfortable that we will list them on marketplace

The £70 folding chair broke whilst I (70kg ) was sitting on it after being used for one year (not even every day). The chair broke under me and I fell to the floor. Luckily I was unharmed but I could have been badly injured. The quality of the chair is shocking and our ikea chairs which costed £20 have not broken and have been around for longer and used more. Additionally , the website appears to offer no way to provide reviews to their products.

Having bought a few items from the Futon store in Plymouth we can certainly say we made the right choice! The staff have been a delight to meet each time we pop in. Charlie has given us advice and is very knowledgeable, a breath of fresh air....ok, you can order on the website, but we can vouch that visiting the store is definitely worth the time. The quality of Futon products is very good, solid construction.

Product is great quality and delivery guys were also great

Took two visits to the Leeds store to consider and eventually purchase some footstools. While the products are beautiful and great quality, what really stood out was the exceptional customer service. Not at all pushy for us to make a purchase but super proactive in helping us find what we were looking for - and the staff remembered us on our second visit!
The Futon team should be exceptionally proud of their Leeds staff, they create such a welcoming atmosphere and know the product range inside-out, then step back to allow you to consider and browse in your own time. Will absolutely go back, and recommend!
