So pleased that we chose Fine Finish Furniture to fit our new kitchen.
We found them while visiting Appliance City next door but thought they looked expensive. However, we decided to get a quote which was actually not much different from quotes we had from other companies.
Rachel interpreted our ideas perfectly and gave us advice on anything we weren't sure about.The fitter Wayne took his time to ensure we were happy with each stage and told us what he would be doing each day. The plumber Gary was very efficient and everything was neat and tidy. We did have one or two issues during the fitting but any problems were dealt with very quickly and we are really happy with the final result!

We chose Fine Finish to fit out our study and had a fairly specific set of requirements in terms of desk layout, shelving, storage etc. Celine listened carefully to these requirements and came back with a design that exactly met the brief. We’re delighted with the finished result, attention to detail is very important to us and we cannot fault the quality of the materials or the standard of workmanship.

We’ve been very impressed with everyone from the company that we’ve met, from the design stage and survey through to installation and after care.

Not only would we have no hesitation in recommending Fine Finish, we’ve already commissioned them again to design and install a bedroom for us.

“True greatness comes when you are tested”. Unfortunately, Fine Finish Furniture did not turn out to be great when things did not go smoothly. They made a series of mistakes in the manufacturing of the kitchen units and in the installation of the worktop. (In addition, worktop workers left space and walls dirty and did not operate in a Covid-19 safe manner). Having already received my final payment, Fine Finish Furniture had a dismissive attitude, always trying to shift the burden on myself with an overall very poor customer care. Fine Finish Furniture are quite pricy, but I regret to say that the extra-cost does not even protect you from bad surprises down the line. I will never use Fine Finish Furniture again and I cannot recommend them by any means!

IN RESPONSE TO FINE FURNITURE'S REPLY (dated 22 July 2021):
This is a clear example of shifting the blame and burden on the customer.
The wall units were picked the day after we raised the issue. Fine Finish Furniture told us the units would have been ready on the coming Saturday, but they could not deliver them. On that Saturday morning, Fine Finish Furniture confirmed us the pick-up time. Hence, we got our squad of installers out for an extra day. While we were reaching Fine Finish Furniture store, we received a phone call and were told the units were not ready. Got back home and had to send away the installers. On the following Bank Holiday, we had to go and collect the units to take advantage of the only time our installers had complete kitchen installation without upsetting their schedule. Our installers, very kindly, did not charged any extras for two additional visits and hours of work.
Fine Finish Furniture did offer to fit the two wall units but refused to fit the other remaining parts of the kitchen in which the units were integrated. Hence, as explained to them, this was not solving the issue and was forcing me to call my installers anyway for extra hours of work. My installers kindly completed the kitchen installation.
When the worktop was installed on behalf of Fine Finish Furniture, we immediately told to the worktop workers that the splashback was not centred even relatively to the hobs cut-out. They recognised the issue but told us, “just live with it”. We would have loved for them to fix it on the spot, but they refused. I raised the issue with Fine Finish Furniture. Meanwhile, our kitchen installation had to be completed. We were then called by the worktop workers who told us they needed a visit and the tolerance was 2mm. Upon the visit, the splashback resulted misplaced by 5mm. After the visit, the worktop workers and Fine Finish Furniture said the splashback needed to move only of 2.5mm and, for the occasion, the worktop workers’ tolerance had become of 2.5mm!
Fine Finish Furniture offered to move the splashback but refused to adjust the other kitchen elements (installed to the millimetre on the worktop worker’s template) by saying that we were to do at our own expenses. Again, shifting the burden!
We did raise the issue that worktop workers did not work in a Covid safe manner. We did so over the phone and in writing by email. No action was taken. Last visit by a worktop worker was still not in Covid safe manner. This is again Fine Finish Furniture distorting reality.
Incidentally, the goodwill gesture amounted roughly to 1% of the grand total I paid. They credited us also £30 given their missed delivery of the wall units. Their goodwill gesture was peanuts (while we are left with misplaced kitchen elements clearly visible at naked eye). Needless to say, Fine Finish Furniture was exceeded by far in customer care and generosity by our squad of installers.
Now, dear reader, it is up to you. This is our experience. If Fine Finish Furniture will not turn out to be great when things do not go smoothly, do not complain that we did not warn you!
PS For brevity, we have not reported details of how difficult Fine Finish Furniture was in all stages, much of which is documented in our email correspondence.

Very professional company to deal with. Great personal service from my initial contact, girls couldn’t be more helpful. They had some great design ideas and nothing was too much trouble ensuring I was totally happy prior to my chosen products being manufactured. Quickly rectified a couple of minor fitting issues. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Fine Finish.
Only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars, the cost is a little high and my disappointment that covers could not be supplied to visually enhance the look of unused adjustable shelf holes.

From the moment we stepped into Fine Finish’s showroom doors, we knew that we were in good hands. Rachel listened carefully to our ideas, and worked hard to design the perfect kitchen for us.

Each step of the kitchen fitting process was carefully explained and Rachel was quick to deal with any questions or problems that arose when installation commenced.

All of the tradespeople we met were very polite, conscientious and extremely tidy workers.

So pleased that we now have our dream kitchen. We highly recommend using Fine Finish Furniture.

I used Fine Finish Kitchens to repaint existing kitchen units and also install a kitchen island. I cannot speak more highly of the quality and standard of work and after sales service. Their customer service is excellent, doing everything possible to meet the customers wishes in the initial design and installation, with nothing too difficult.

I would certainly use this company again and would recommend them for the provision and installation of any kitchen or bedroom furniture.

Great service and excellent workmanship
Since fitting our dining kitchen a few years ago which has truly transformed the space and how we use it, we were after some spare under unit light bulbs and these were supplied promptly . A fridge door was also adjusted. Great service and excellent workmanship.

Excellent quality of units and fitted to perfection. Very pleased with final result and happy to recommend. All queries and questions handled professionally by the adviser, Rachel, who guided us through the design stages in a very helpful manner.

We were delighted with our stylish kitchen. Unfortunately the fitted tap had a handle that repeatedly came loose. No fault of FFF. We were invited to choose a different tap as replacement and this was fitted promptly. We only paid a small amount to cover the cost of the new tap over the original. No fitting charge and this was 4 years after the initial installation.

Very pleased with the choice of Fine Finish. Our kitchen refurbishment went extremely well despite a slight delay due to covid. Rachel the designer who is archtecturally trained has an excellent eye and gave great advice on what would work and what wouldn't. She accommodated our design requests on detailing very well. Work was completed on schedule and the craftmanship was superb. We have no hesitation in recommending FF. We have asked them back to do another project.

We keep returning to FFF, now considering our 3rd project with them. Rachel’s designs and helpful suggestions are improving our quality of life and the use of space throughout the house.
The quality of design and workmanship is matched by the professionalism and friendliness from all we encounter. Really skilled and caring fitters put the project all together in record time with minimal fuss, and as a result, every project with FFF is a pure joy and we keep coming back.

I will say at the outset that I was dreading the experience of actually having the work done and I did find it very challenging but that is me. Dave could not be faulted for his cheery relentless hard work. Using the recommended tradesmen meant that it could all be project managed successfully. The end result is lovely and features on the Facebook page a few times!
We did have problems with shrinkage of timber which meant that drawer fronts and cupboard doors had to be replaced. This was done promptly in the New Year after the problem was noted mid-November. Unfortunately a similar problem arose some months later and on this occasion it was necessary for all of the doors and drawer fronts to be removed, taken away and prepared again and sprayed. This all took rather longer. So a year after first being fitted I had my new kitchen back. Rachel and Andrew could not have done more.

We could have got a kitchen from any number of suppliers, but from Fine Finish we got the kitchen we wanted. Without hesitation we would recommend Fine Finish to anyone. We now have a kitchen described by a visitor as looking like a Show Kitchen that is a joy to work in. The people at Fine Finish are a pleasure to work with excellent service from beginning to end and definitely know their product, we now have cupboards that reach the ceiling, we had been told by another design service it wasn't possible to do and the added bonus of an island----Love It use it all the time again had been told previously not enough space no problem for Rachel. A professional company, a quality product, a beautiful kitchen.

Wow! Is what visitors say when they see our kitchen. From first walking into the showroom to completion the service has been excellent. Rachel is a credit to the company. Her calm measured, no pressure approach is just what you need with such a big decision and purchase. Rachel liaised with the appliance company to co-ordinate delivery of the products, which helped enormously. The end product speaks for itself and one of our neighbours has subsequently made a visit to Rachel to discuss options for their project. We also had Fine Finish (Rachel) design a bespoke study area in a space that once housed an emersion heater. As I work from home, it was important to have a comfortable space. The result does not disappoint and is a beautiful piece of furniture that can be shut away behind bi-fold doors when I finish work. Dave and Matt were our fitters for these projects and both were brill! Any snagging issues were dealt with appropriately, we're delighted with the end results and can't fault the service.

I came across Fine Finish as a result of a recommendation from a friend. I never looked back. From the moment I met Rachel (designer), I realised that this was a good company. She really listened to my requirements and designed a kitchen in collaboration with me, to suit my wishes and my style. I had to have some building work done to accommodate my new kitchen and also needed new appliances - Rachel put me in touch with company's who I subsequently used and would rate highly. The kitchen itself is brilliant - well designed, functional, aesthetically pleasing and all the units are very well made. The fitting process - which could have been stressful - was made a pleasure by Dave, their fitter, who has an incredible attention to detail, is clearly skilled and really cares about his work. I am, therefore, very happy and confident to recommend Fine Finish without reservation.
