Dont agree with paying for a report when they make money trying to sell loans and credit cards

Friendly person at their call centre. She was helpful in answering my questions about my credit report and in updating my details. I didn’t have to wait long at all to speak to someone, which is a relief from having to endure some awful music whilst on hold, which is quite common nowadays. Excellent!

The worst of all Credit Agencies to communicate with
Awful company that do not care about you or the truth, just a huge scam like all Credit Reference Agencies
Report false data with zero evidence or proof shown by creditors to prove their claims
Ruin lives and do not care
Just like everything else a corrupt controlled scam selling your data to anybody willing to pay for it

I very rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Equifax has been poor enough that I feel compelled to do so.
I initially used Equifax after being declined for a mobile phone contract. What I found was a service that was difficult to navigate, appeared to hold incomplete information about me, and offered very little confidence when I contacted customer support.
My fundamental concern is simple: if Equifax does not hold complete and accurate information about an individual, how can it reasonably claim to provide a reliable assessment of that person's creditworthiness?
For example, your system appears to restrict the number of previous addresses I can provide. I have lived at several addresses, so if my full address history cannot be properly recorded, how can you be confident that you are matching and assessing all of the relevant financial information connected to me?
The discrepancy between the credit reference agencies only reinforces my concern. My Experian score is 1224 out of 1250 — close to perfect. With Equifax, I am 649 out of 1000. I appreciate that different credit reference agencies use different scoring models, but such a significant difference raises legitimate questions about the completeness and accuracy of the underlying information being used.
Experian also allows me to review and correct information relatively easily, and when I have contacted them, I have found their staff helpful. My experience with Equifax was the opposite. I found the customer service team unable to properly address the concerns I raised. There was far too much talking around the issue rather than answering straightforward questions, and at times I felt I understood the credit-reporting issues I was raising better than the people supposedly assisting me.
This is not simply a complaint because I dislike the score Equifax has given me. My concern is whether Equifax has sufficient, complete and accurate information to produce a meaningful assessment in the first place. If the underlying data is incomplete, then any assessment based upon that data must surely be open to question.
I have now cancelled my Equifax subscription. Going forward, before applying for any significant credit product, I will check which credit reference agency the lender uses. If they rely primarily on Equifax, I will take my business elsewhere.
For an organisation whose entire purpose depends upon the accuracy and integrity of personal financial data, I expected considerably better.

I had an enquiry with Equifax regarding an issue with my credit report, and I was very impressed with how quickly they responded.
The person who dealt with my enquiry was helpful, professional and clear in their communication. They understood what I was asking, checked the matter properly and came back to me with a clear response.
I was particularly pleased with how straightforward the whole process was. I did not feel like I was being passed around or ignored, and my enquiry was dealt with efficiently.
Thank you to the Equifax customer service team for the quick response and for handling my enquiry so well.

User Friendly website , Easy to access the information relevant to my searches while offering clear results that are easy to decipher. I also appreciate the criteria used in determining credit scores.

Total waste of time and they now have photos of my driving licence and DWP correspondence. Trapped in a loop of id verification and a nonfunctioning app.

The Free service doesnt actually help with anything which was the whole reason why I signed up. All the things that need to be seen are hidden behind a pay wall which is completely stupid! "Pay money you likely dont have so you can see how bad your rating is!" Good that!!

Incorrect information on my file and it is proving impossible to correct it. I have requested that my ex-wife is removed from being connected to me and a fraudulent hard search removed from my account.
It seems impossible to get anyone to actually action these changes and now my cases are not visible at all on their website so I cant see updates. One case was simply just marked as correct and immediately closed. They have now put a notice of correction on my file which is causing legitimate applications to be instantly rejected.
