had some credit problems and needed to…
had some credit problems and needed to keep a close eye on my credit file. i would get a report from each of them and then subscribed to checkmyfile. When checking it I found an incorrect entry on my file and was able to clear it which boosted my score. It is an expense that is probably not in everyones budget but it was helpful for my needs. It is well worth it for someone needing to monitor their credit file

Unlike other companies, Checkmyfile will not refund you if you accidentally subscribe or forget to cancel the trial, even if you haven’t used the service.
I personally would avoid a company that does not act in good faith.

It is a great platform
It is a great platform. I had to use it as a one off for my mortgage advisor. If you need a permanent place to keep an eye on things this could be useful. There is a monthly fee attached. I didn't look into what you got extra over other platforms to be honest. So you would have to check that out yousrself.

This is too expensive and there is no option to check your credit for free. After just 2 minutes on your website, you have to pay £14,99, which is not cheap. It should be more affordable and there should be a free option without a subscription.

Checkmyfile is a subscription-based service, and we offer every customer one free trial so they can explore the platform and see the value of viewing all their credit information in one place. After the trial, a subscription is required because we purchase your data directly from Experian, Equifax and TransUnion to provide a comprehensive, easy-to-understand report, along with in-depth analysis and exceptionally high levels of customer support.
Our service also includes a dispute resolution service, where our team can raise disputes on your behalf with the credit agencies if something doesn’t look quite right. The subscription cost covers daily updates to your credit report, and access remains available for the full period paid for, even if you decide to cancel the subscription.
For those who prefer a free option, the credit reference agencies themselves offer free statutory credit reports, which can be requested directly from them.
