Easier Drives / Easier Lawns / Easier Group.... Avoid

The summary is you can’t trust this company, they lied to me, they owe me money and I feel foolish for trusting them. They don’t answer calls, don’t return voicemails and don’t respond to emails.

Back in Apr-21 I placed an order and paid a deposit for a resin path and resin patio area as well as new gate and fence. Hoped to have it done for the summer but had zero communication from Easier unless I chased to get an update. I was told there was a global shortage of resin and agreed to have the ground work done in preparation for when the resin became available. In Oct-21 we had the gate and fence installed and ground works prepared, I paid a further instalment. The guys doing the ground work were great but the composite fence and gate had missing parts and not fully finished. I was advised on multiple times the parts were ordered but they still haven’t resolved the issue to date. Around Apr-22 after multiple ignored calls and emails I found out that resin was available but they admitted I wasn’t a priority customer as the cost of the aggregates and resin had gone up to be higher than the remaining balance I had to pay. I spoke with Anthony and we agreed that to speed the process up and actually get the resin installed for the summer I would pay the supplier direct and Easier would pay me back the surplus in instalments as they wouldn’t expect a customer to pay more than what was originally agreed. I had this on email and face to face. I was led to believe it was cash flow issues post covid but now I assume I was just scammed as I’ve never been refunded. Finally got the resin installed on a Saturday in Jun-22. Felt like it was rushed as they had another job to get to the same day, resin stains were left on some of the brick edging which was disappointing. Finally have a path and patio that I can use but it wasn’t worth the stress and I would not recommend the company. I’m writing this so other potential customers know to expect that they may end up financially out of pocket with an unfinished product and no communication from an untrustworthy company.

Terrible unprofessional company

We paid Easier Drives a 25% deposit to install a 170m² resin driveway at our home.
Months and months came and went. They used one excuse after the other as to why the work was not done and could not give us a solid date, yet they told us we were second on the list of customers waiting. They kept pushing us to agree to have all the ground works done but couldn't commit to completing the work. That would have left us with an unfinished, unusable driveway. Plus they wanted another 50% payment, which including the deposit, would have ment we would have paid them 75% of the total price. We are talking about thousands of pounds!
Their communication with us was terrible the whole way through. We felt completely in the dark and forgotten about. Regulary we chased them, phone calls, emails, letters by registered post. I asked them to advise me of their complaints procedure (as advised by Citizens Advice) and was told they didn't have a complaints procedure!
They refused to refund our deposit even after the 1 year contracted period had expired. Thankfully we paid the deposit on a credit card for the extra consumer protection it provides. We never actually thought we would need it but I'm so glad we did because the credit card company refunded us our deposit in just a matter of weeks.
The whole experience was stressful and handled terribly by this company. We just wanted our resin driveway done without all the hassle that Easier Drives brought along.
We have now had our resin driveway installed by a different company. Done and dusted in 3 weeks from the first enquiry phone call. And it was several thousands of pounds cheaper.

Should be minus 5 stars

Should be minus 5 stars. Easiergroup located in Ringwood. May 2020 paid a deposit for a patio with the understanding 6-8 weeks to installation - December went by -excuse,excuse and yet more excuses. Finally laid March 2021. October 2021 patio was "pooling" badly, surveyor was called and agreed repair was needed. Reason given (drum roll plse! The slabs were laid on cement which was too wet). Gave 4 weeks to attend. Phone calls made, emails sent excuses, excuses and yet (yes, you've guessed it, more excuses). Eventually ignored, now end of March 2022 still no repair. Basically 3 alternatives - live with it, get someone else or take the legal route. DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY! The Companies House information is interesting too.

Contacted this company to install a resin drive etc, promptly came, discussed what I wanted for the drive. Said they would send quote. Have chased 3 times now. Been 4 weeks. Not heard. Shame I thought this was good company
