DPD "Diabolical service" !!!
Today 27/07/2026 got an email and message from DPD saying my packages would be delivered today.
On my ring doorbell I witnessed a recording of Two cardboard boxes containing almost €1000 worth of goods being left by the DPD driver on a public road outside my gate.
This delivery was a few days previous rescheduled for delivery for 30/07/2026 via the DPD website as I was away on business for the week and the change of delivery date to 30/07/2026 was acknowledged and confirmed by DPD in a return email to me.
I witnessed the delivery driver ring my intercom on my ring doorbell camera. Had he bothered to ring my ring doorbell on the wall right next to my intercom or use my phone number which was attached to the delivery I would have been able able to give instructions to the driver, however no such attempts were made. Instead I watched the recording on camera of the driver ringing my intercom and on not receiving a reply from my intercom as I was not home he simply dropped the two cardboard boxes on the roadside at my gate and drove away.
How can this in any measure be described as a professional delivery service. As I say these goods are valued between €900 and €1000, they are now visible by my ring camera on the roadside at my gate, I do not have neighbours, friends or family close by whom I can ask to come to the rescue the boxes so all I can hope for is that some honest passer-by will realise they've been left for delivery and keep them safe till my return home next week.
I have been in contact with the French company who sent the goods explaining my predicament. Hopefully they can put pressure on DPD to rectify the situation and that my valuable goods will not have disappeared in the meanwhile.
To say I'm flabbergasted by this deplorable service by DPD is a vast understatement. If it were possible to give zero stars on trustpilot I most definitely would.
It's not the my first occasion to have issues with DPD, I had a similar situation with them some years back but hoped they had learned and improved.
So to sum-up from experience my advice is keep well away from DPD and look elsewhere for your delivery needs in Ireland.
"An Post" the national delivery service for Ireland might be a wise option as I've always found them reliable and professional in their dealings.
Beware of DPD and good Luck out there .

Shocking Service from DPD - Driver not doing his job
Got a notification this morning at 7am - 933546952 - that a parcel would be delivered by Vasyl between 8.50 and 9.50am today.
I waited at home all day and no delivery. I then get a text message at 5.30pm that an effort was made to deliver. This is COMPLETELY untrue and shocking service from DPD - very disappointing as this Driver Is clearly not telling the truth !
Not your usual driver - who’s great!
Also if this WAS the case - which it wasn’t why didn’t he call me!

DPD are normally very good
DPD are normally very good. There was no one at home today, driver checked round the back of house and then left parcel at front door in full view of everyone passing. He could have left it at back door when he was round. I saw him on security camera.
