On the basis that people who come here…

On the basis that people who come here are vulnerable, desperate and weak both mentally and physically.

I would have thought the Management Team (owner) would have shown more empathy, despite being an ex addict himself.

Very happy to re admit patients and get full fees again as oppose to allow them to complete the program.

On what basis can you ask someone to leave and not allow them back to finish the course but happily re admit for a further £15,000.

No compassion or empathy

Dear Raj, Thank you for your comments. We have no record of your stay, yet it might be that you are a loved one or family member of a former guest, perhaps? Completion rates at Delamere are very high; close to 100%. On very rare occassions and only if a guest were to breach our guidelines and jeapordise the safety of the community would we discharge a guest. If a guest chooses to leave early of their own volition due to unforeseen circumstances we suspend their care plan and retain a credit on their account such that they can return to complete the programme. If on reapplying further detox is required we need to charge an increment for this given the level of medical care associated with detoxing a guest. Our terms are made clear at inception at the point we contract with guests. Reviews from alumni are currently captured on Google and the medical review platform, Doctify. If you’d like to submit a formal complaint, our complaints process is posted on our website and is made available to all guests. Kind regards, Martin Preston, Founder & CEO, Delamere Health Ltd

Delamere Rehab Poor in house and customer communication

Delamere Rehab facility based in Cuddingtom,Cheshire is a newly built drug and alcohol rehab facility.

The website and the building are seriously misleading. As a family this was the first time we accessed a private facility like this and I hate to say it but I think this was why we were taken advantage of. A recommended stay was 8 weeks, this was charged at roughly £18,000 for the stay. There were so many mistakes regarding my treatment made by staff. We were giving no plan of treatment prior to my stay. Despite constantly being told they would provide this, to then get to the facility to find out the clinical team were not told anything about my history therefore had to very little time to try and put some sort of medical treatment plan in place in a limited time. I can say with confidence I didn't trust or feel safe with treatment or with the staff and my family assisted my discharge after less than a week.

Don't get sucked in by their patter. It's easily done when your in such a vulnerable position. Do your research ask for past patients reviews and their success in their sobriety rates of patients who have attended. I spent most of my time in a bedroom with little to do and little support which ultimately made my anxiety worse. They make out they have lots of classes on offer but very rarely were they open in order to access. I personally would use somewhere like the THe Priory Group or try and access a community service to support your sobriety. Remember Some people are in it just for the money. Do what's best for you.

Thanks for your comments. Are you certain you stayed at Delamere Health Ltd? Our programme runs for 28 days; we don’t offer an 8 week residential stay. Our fees at the time of writing are £18,000 for 4 weeks. All photos of Delamere that are published on our website (Delamere.com) are bonafide; our environment is award winning and purpose built and testimonial for the care we offer, and the environment here is very strong. You can read about what 100 alumni guests have to say on Google and Doctify. We are rated good in all areas by the Care Quality Commission. If you’d like to submit a formal complaint, we’d be pleased to hear from you. You are welcome to write to us at Martin.preston@delamere.com. Kind regards, Martin Preston, Founder & Chief Executive
