Phill Edwards was a trusted and invaluable partner throughout the conveyancing process for our flat sale and house purchase in London. Our sale involved several unexpected complexities, but Phill supported us every step of the way, often keeping us updated during evenings and weekends as we approached completion.
We are incredibly grateful for his dedication, professionalism and commitment. Thank you so much, Phill!

I had a great experience with Convey Law solicitors. They were professional, friendly, and kept me informed throughout the process. Everything was handled efficiently, and I really appreciated their support and advice. I would happily recommend their services to anyone looking for reliable legal assistance. Thank you again Alex!

Good during the onboarding process and when securing your business, but once you've signed up, the service quickly goes downhill.
Communication was extremely poor. Despite repeated requests, I never received a promised call back and never managed to actually speak to Josh. Emails automated response stating 48 hours to receive a response, with most ignored entirely, and numerous phone calls went unanswered.
Conveyancing is stressful enough without having to constantly chase for updates. Unfortunately, it felt like customer service was no longer a priority once they had secured our instruction.
Sadly, I wouldn't recommend Convey Law and would advise anyone looking for a conveyancer to consider other options.
Thanks for the comment....still waiting for a call back...

The Conveyancer - Madiha was great, responsive, and helpful.
The online portal is helpful also, although it takes a while to set up.
Other than that, a very good experience.
Thanks

Anthony was very informative this was the first time I had done this process and I had quite a few questions. I called him several times and he answered straight away. He was also very responsive in email.
I would use convey law again and would be happy to have Anthony again as I found him extremely helpful and contactable.

Rhian could not have done more for us, we were always kept up to date, she was professional and timely. We were first time buyers and our buy came with a few complications but she helped us to feel confident in the process. Would highly recommend

The service provided by Lauren Thomas, my Conveyancer was very good. She guided me throughout the process in a professional and informative matter. I had an update every 5 days at minimum, emails and calls were always returned quickly. What could have been a stressful exchange and completion due to a large chain was handled with ease, as I knew Lauren and her team were handling my case. I would highly recommend Lauren and would use her services again.

⭐ Convey Law review
My house purchase should have taken around six weeks. Instead, it took twenty, and the delay was caused almost entirely by Convey Law’s processes — not their individual staff.
Communication
Convey Law relied almost exclusively on email, even when it clearly wasn’t working. When the seller’s solicitor didn’t respond, they simply sent more emails instead of escalating to a phone call. Three weeks were wasted waiting for replies that never came. A basic phone call would have resolved issues far sooner.
Incorrect Property Identification
Convey Law misidentified my property. They found a Rightmove listing for my neighbour’s house (sold 18 months earlier) and insisted a photo of a solid‑fuel burner was from my lounge. My house wasn’t even on Rightmove because it was a private sale. This mistake caused unnecessary delay over an issue that a surveyor would have flagged anyway.
SearchesI
Initially I opted out of searches — reasonable after living in the property for 14 years. This was accepted at first, then later I was pressured, told it was “highly risky,” and would be charged £60 to opt out. So I had the searches anyway, much later in the process, causing further delay.
Compliance Checks
The biggest obstacle was passing compliance. Despite providing savings evidence at the start, Convey Law only began scrutinising my funds at week 19, and then the seller issued a seven‑day deadline. I had to provide probate documents, inheritance evidence, historic statements, and more — all at the last minute - these documents were no longer in my possession as they had been disposed of as they were over 6 years ago. This caused enormous stress and several sleepless nights.
Autoreplies and Accessibility
Every email triggered a huge autoreply with a cluttered footer that looked like a real response buried somewhere inside.
Phone access was poor:
calls went to voicemail, and one day nobody answered at all. I couldn’t contact compliance directly and had to escalate through the managing director just to get help.
Final Push
Head of Compliance became involved, and things finally moved. Exchange happened on Monday and completion the next day.
Overall
The staff I dealt with were polite and tried their best, but the systems, processes, and priorities at Convey Law caused unnecessary delay, stress, and frustration. My advice to anyone buying a home: Choose a local solicitor you can speak to easily. Insist on early compliance checks. Don’t rely on firms that prioritise fraud checks over client experience.
Expect slow progress if your solicitor won’t pick up the phone.
Convey Law need to improve their communication, verify property details properly, simplify their email system, and carry out money checks at the start — not at week 19.

I have just exchanged contracts on the sale of my house and the purchase of my new home, and I can honestly say that without the support and guidance of Rhian Reynolds and her team, the process would probably still be ongoing.
Nothing was ever too much trouble for Rhian. She was always available to answer my questions, keep me updated, and offer reassurance whenever it was needed. Her knowledge, experience, and dedication really shone through from start to finish.
I can't thank Rhian and the team enough for all their hard work and would highly recommend them to anyone
