Unfortunately we were recommended this company by an estate agent and they’ve been next to useless. We had to chase them for any updates, they never seemed to know anything about our sale. The portal wasn’t updated as it should have been, we sent an email to ask for an update of where we were regarding the sale and we had an email back to say ‘we’ll review your file’ and that was the last we heard. We used another company called Simply Conveyancing before and their service was great.

Everything was done smoothly and with ease. My solicitor Olivia was very responsive and helpful, was a pleasure working with her. I’d recommend others to go through conveyancing when purchasing a home.

Great service from Lisa Hazelton. Communication was excellent with emails responded to promptly and on occasions when a reply was needed more urgently, Lisa was always available on the phone to assist. We had a few small delays, due to other parts of the chain, and Lisa was proactive in chasing responses when required and keeping us informed as to progress. This was very much appreciated. Highly recommended.

Kiera McKillop is the most hard-working and committed conveyancer I have ever come across. She consistently went above and beyond her role, acting outside of her own remit, to ensure her clients were taken care of. On nothing shy of an intensely stressful sale, Kiera was second to none. She is a credit to the company and all of her clients and colleagues are very lucky to have her.

Stick to “proper” solicitors, not the conveyensor type ones.

I terminated my contract with Conveyancing Direct after 3 weeks of trying to chase up why I couldn’t complete the TA6, TA 10, TA 7 forms because of lack of verification /authorisation codes for the CREDAS ap.
I had to download this to complete them.

I emailed and phoned my concerns, but either my appointed solicitor was busy, or the receptionist said she would ask him to call me back/ email me, but he hardly did.

Since transferring my business to a local firm of solicitors, the difference in communication and professionalism is light years better.

They sent me a paper pack of the above forms, and my solicitor helped me with some tricky questions via email, plus I could ring, and they’d put me straight through to talk to him as well.

I paid roughly £400 more than the quote from CD, but that was for everything, including extra leasehold costs.

Lots of these conveyancing firms will offer you cheaper deals, but if I were you, I’d stick to your local solicitors.
