Paul & Wayne have visited a couple of times now to rectify some snags we had from moving in. They are always polite, professional and hardworking.

Bouba is a hardworking guy and he has been to the house doing a few jobs. He is very passionate about his work, well-mannered and enjoys interacting with clients in a professional style. I will recommend him to anyone .

We have had a lovely experience so far with our purchase of a Charles church property at the Glan Y Coed site.
Melissa has been welcoming, warm, helpful, and genuine. Melissa updates us regularly and is always willing to answer any and all questions. She seems invested in supporting us to get our dream home, and we’ve had many conversations on the interior!

We’re excited to complete and move into our new home.

Alan Foreman and Bob Matthew’s came to complete some snags for us yesterday. They were happy to complete all the jobs that had been raised and did so to a wonderful standard. Despite my 5 year old daughter deciding to try and help (she put her finger in some silicone that wasn’t dry which meant they had to redo it). They were happy and helpful.
So far Charles church have been great with our aftercare and I’ve always had a prompt response to snags with no issues.

Paul - Great member of the team called to do my repairs. Knowledgable and worked efficiently. Total left the job spotless and showed me all the work done in a clear summary before he left.

Chris Alexander joined Charles Church in December, and since then he has been working tirelessly to ensure all snagging issues are completed to a high standard. From the outset, he has shown excellent communication skills and has proven to be a real asset to the company.
Chris has made a significant difference on the estate, turning around the experience of many previously unhappy residents. His commitment to daily communication and his proactive approach to resolving issues quickly have not gone unnoticed.
We are especially pleased with the transformation of our garden. After months of being unable to use it due to drainage problems, Chris ensured everything was addressed efficiently, and we can now fully enjoy the space.
Chris is highly professional in everything he does, and his work is truly five-star.

Geoff & Brian were great today on finishing off my bay window and front door with trim. Finished look is loads better.

Zoli was fantastic, very polite and respectful. Did everything asked and more, he carefully looked around and corrected all sorts of minor blemishes above and beyond his work sheet. House is looking like new again. Cracks filled and smoothed perfectly. Thank you so much.

Chris came out today to have a look at our bath/shower. He immediately identified the issue and got to work resolving it, after multiple workmen coming out and no resolution being found, Chris handled it within a couple of hours and to a high standard. I’m very pleased!

When I first reserved a plot on your site, everyone was very helpful and supportive. There were a number of hiccups in my sale, due to chain problems, and the sales staff changed and became rude and unhelpful. This was at a time when I was extremely upset and their reaction made the situation much worse. Recent transactions have been overshadowed by this and I do not find the current team very helpful.

This review is for SASKIA Harper who is an excellent person. She is very professional,know how to care for the customers. Although we didn't buy a charles church,the way she dealt with us was amazing. Following up, giving updates,asking preferences and so on. Trying to give the offer as advertised. Not wasting customers time, coming to point straight away and updating as soon as possible.

Our experience with Charles Church has been overwhelmingly negative, and nine months after completion we feel compelled to warn other buyers.

We have had to raise multiple formal complaints due to serious defects, incomplete work, and clear failures to meet both planning consent and contractual obligations. Despite providing extensive evidence, the developer continues to deny any wrongdoing, even where the issues are plainly documented.

One matter has now escalated so far that it is currently in the court process. No homeowner should ever have to take legal action simply to have a developer meet the standards they contractually agreed to.

What makes this even more disappointing is that the area managing director has personally been involved and has expressed satisfaction with how our case is being handled, despite the fact that, nine months after completion, we still have over 100 outstanding snags. Many of these relate to basic workmanship and items that should never have passed inspection.

Adding to the frustration, we were handed Trustpilot cards by the customer care team on a recent visit to our property, who openly told us they receive a bonus for 5‑star reviews. This felt completely inappropriate, especially given that the only reason we were dealing with customer care at all was because tasks had not been completed correctly in the first place. Being asked for a perfect rating while still facing unresolved issues only highlighted how disconnected the company is from the reality of its customers’ experiences.

Throughout this process, we have encountered shifting explanations, dismissive responses, and a complete lack of accountability. The burden has fallen entirely on us to gather evidence, seek independent advice, and pursue formal routes simply to get basic issues acknowledged.

For a purchase as significant as a home, this behaviour is unacceptable. Our experience has been stressful, time‑consuming, and deeply disappointing. It is far from the dream you are sold.

I strongly urge anyone considering buying from Charles Church or Persimmon to proceed with extreme caution.

The house was not fit for purpose when we moved in

Paul and Barry have been yesterday and today to plaster the down stairs toilet and paint and sand main bedroom ceiling ,, both cracking lads and did a great job

Buying a new home felt daunting but the whole experience has been excellent! Dave Ormes, site manager of phase 2 Chancery Park, deserves a mention for going ‘above and beyond’ ! Since the initial ‘meet the builder’ appointment to present day, he has been friendly, knowledgeable and when he says he is going to get something done you can rely on him to do exactly that! Would definitely recommend purchasing a Charles Church home.
