We bought a set of swing gates which were delivered by DPD , no signature was asked for and we were not given the time to check the delivery . On opening we found 2 main panels had dents which i did my best to photograph (not easy to see dents on dark grey panels !) and message Casanoov . They replied asking again for photos ? and part numbers ?? (not an easy ask for Jo public when the gates are in so many pieces and way beyond my talents !) . The boxes showed no damage so these dents must have been there when packed ! ,We had the gates assembled by the builder as he was finishing the job and couldnt wait while we chased the service dept of Casanoov ,We paid £900 for these gates and they are starting life already damaged by these dents and i'm now thinking they will not last long if they are so easy to damage so would not recommend using Casanoov

There are a very well organized team great websites and are there for you all the way to your door.

I recently bought a swing gate with 2 posts. I received everything within 1 week. When it arrived 1 panel was slightly damaged (maybe due to transport?), I informed Casanoov about it and they sent the new panel on the same day, it arrived in Dublin few days after.
We were 2 to do the installation and it wasn't difficult. I'm very satisfied with the quality regarding the price I paid.

Terrible. To be avoided. Bought a heat pump cover - cheap crap turned up despite the €€€ price tag. Was assured by this crowd the cover was designed not to impact heat pump function - absolutely untrue- my heat pump nearly croaked in the 5 minutes I tried it on. Despite this - there is no return or refund. Will be exploring consumer rights. Also the cover looked awful on.

Recently purchased a 6m wide sliding gate and had a pleasant experience from start to finish and the pricing also reasonable. The customer service was prompt and delivery of gate was on time with all parts in place. Assembling was easy as there was ready to use YouTube videos. I also am grateful for the gesture of goodwill they showed me by giving me another roller guide to support my 6m wide sliding gate. They are a reliable business.

We ordered & paid for a gate over 5 weeks ago & have received 1 parcel of 3 damaged with no sign of the rest. We would never use this company again & have a housing company so we looked to order a great number of gates but given 5 weeks on we have no sign of the rest of the gate we are going to instruct solicitors to get our £1,500 back!

These gates are not atal suited to irish climate.. infact not fit for purpose.. I have contacted customer service and they have failed to resolve my issues.. bad quality item, bad customer service, don't waste your time!

Gate was ok, but the lock they provided was not as advertised and can be pushed apart with a firm shove.

They were unwilling to resolve and they said no other locks were compatible despite it being a standard euro lock.

I initially landed on the French Casanoov website, and from the photos and videos there I was fully convinced this was a French product. I ordered from Casanoov.ie and had a very good customer experience, initially getting help with a few questions and when one of the parcels didn't arrive with the rest (came a few days later). Alas, everything was made in China! So, lesson no. 1: if it looks like a canard and quacks like a canard, it might not be a duck.
However, the gates were of excellent quality and easy to assemble. I even had to trim a few cm off the panels of one gate as our opening was a bit short. They look great, but as they're made of aluminium they are very light and will move more in the wind; so if you're in a windy place you may want to think twice.
The motors were tricky to install and I spent a long time playing around with the tabs which operate the opened/closed microswitches in order to get them right. Regarding the settings: while you can choose between one- and two-gate opening on the remote, you don't get to choose between timed automatic closing and always open. This is a pity as there are four buttons on the remote and it would be nice to have the option of having the gates close automatically behind you or to stay open.

Conclusion: Customer Service - good; gates - great; motors - shop around.

I had to edit my one star review, because things have gotten even worse. If zero stars were an option, I would choose it.

I had the same experience as a previous customer with shipping. The purchase was fine and I received a notice that my product had been shipped very quickly. But after that, it has continually gone down hill. First, they don't inform you when making the purchase that 1) the product is split into multiple large boxes and you need to assemble the gate yourself, 2) I bought the gate in Spain on a Spanish website but the product was made in China and then
shipped from France, 3) they shipped using DPD/Seur (same company for France and Spain), both of which are terrible. The information you get from DPD/Seur is completely useless and there is no way to contact them, change delivery, etc.

When the boxes arrived, one was missing. It turns out Seur had damaged it beyond recognition. It took a week for Hoortrade to figure out the box wasn't going to be delivered, after which they shipped a replacement out, that arrived 10 days later. I then discovered that they had forgotten to ship all of the bars, bolts and accessories needed to assemble the gate. I contacted Hoortrade, and they said they would ship out the missing parts, which arrived another 8 days later. However, they only sent the bolts, resent another set of panels that I already had and forgot to send the bars. It has now been nearly two months since I placed the order and I still don't have the needed components to assemble the gate.

I purchased from Casanoov because I saw that Leroy Merlin uses them and thought they were reputable. From what I have been able to gather, though, Hoortrade was a French gardening company which decided a couple of years ago to branch out into online sales of gates, etc. and adopted the Casanoov name for advertising (maybe I've got some of this wrong, since public information on the company is very limited). But clearly they are in over their heads

Absolutely appalling customer service. Website states 4-6 working days which is highly inaccurate. I am now trying to get my money back but customer service are very delayed in responding.

Lost my package with all the fixings. They do not have a phone number to allow you to talk and resolve. They use Dpd France and therefore you cannot track your packages.
Be careful choosing the motor spec as it can be confusing. Mine turned up without 2 digital pads that I thought was part of the upgrade of motor.
Can’t tell you quality yet as still waiting for package to allow me to build and install.

We have just moved house and wanted a sliding driveway gate quite quickly.
The Casanoov door sounded great and i am pleased i bought it, quick delivery very well manufactured, I even enjoyed building it up, just take note of the details given.
its fitted today and looks great, the neighbour has been quoted 12k, I paid £2450, love it

We bought our front gates with Casanoov and are thrilled with them.
Instructions were very clear and it was easy to assemble.

Our electrician wanted to use his own motor which we only realised 3 months after purchase. Casanoov accepted the return even after 3 months with a full refund which we were greatly appreciative of. The return process was very easy and great customer service.

Would highly recommend this company

Received the gate panels and they were damaged.
Customer service was very poor when trying to get them replaced. Took 3 weeks just to ship the replacements and collect the old ones.

The color of the posts and panels is not an exact match.

I would not recommend casanoov.

I ordered a 3m by 140 sliding gate. I was a bit dubious as it was very cheap at £1060 but I paid by Paypal on on credit card so I was protected.

Ths gate arrived in 3 slim boxes. Took me around 5 hours to have it fully assembled on my own. Took me another 2 hours installing it with a partner. All in all its a very sturdy and stylish gate and im very very happy with the overall quality and look. The parts could have been machined better in a few places as they meeded to be trimmed down with a multitool and a sanding pad, but all in all it was a smooth install. A local fabrication company quoted me £4.5k for a steel gate, however I didnt want steel as it rusts if you dont paint it. This gate is aliminium so no issues with rust.

In summary, i would not reccomend this gate to anyone that does not know how to build things. You need a wide array of tools on hand as it requires modifications in certaim areas. But if you are good with tools, then this gate is HIGHLY RECCOMENDED. I Paired the gate with a motor from Amazon for £180 which also works a treat.

Delivered on time. Gate is fabulous and great quality. Delighted with it.

Build the gates myself? Are you mad?

Although the site looks Irish everything comes from France. I was hesitant at first ordering but very happy with what I received and the quality. If you want to save at least 1k and a handy DIY person I would highly recommend. Their instruction books are the only letdown but to back that up plenty of YouTube videos, they are significantly better looking than the boring type of gates available in Ireland… update on my gates. I know France has cold weather in winter, the gate opener rams freeze when just a little frost is around, a boiling kettle sorts this out, however I have doubts the ram motor survived the winter well and may need replacement within a year??
