Superb knowledgable advisor going the extra mile
The experience of planning and booking a holiday was superb. It took a long time on the phone to get through but it was worth the wait. Mark was very knowledgable about the parts of Canada I was interested in, and was able to suggest different options to make the holiday flow much more easily. Whilst it took several iterations to decide on the exact hotels, that was down to me changing my mind and taking on board Mark's feedback. Would really recommend booking with Canada Affair as it takes away all the risk and you are able to talk to knowledgable agents who have been there and experienced the location and the holiday.

Not very helpful…
This is not a review of my experience on a holiday. Rather, it’s why I doubt I would use Canadian Affair after today’s experience at the Destinations Travel Show in London.
I approached their stand while there seemed to be 4 or more staff who were not busy. I had a simple question about how I could buy a Canadian National Parks Pass - which is a topic that is dealt with frequently through their Motorhome and self-drive holidays and would have taken less than a minute to answer. I was told that unless I bought (or had bought) a holiday from them, she would not help me with this information.
So when we book our trip to Canada in 2027, it definitely won’t be with Canadian Affair.
All the other stands we visited at the Show were happy to share simple information, whether or not we were booking their holidays. We will go with one of them instead.

Not as good as they used to be
Not as good as they used to be. We traveled with them in 2024 and they were excellent. We are returning to Canada in June but, this time, the service has been awful. Information has been lost, an inaccurate excessive quote provided, they don’t respond to emails, and getting through on the phone takes a very long time. I’m still waiting for a reply to the email I sent chasing them for a reply to an email I sent earlier. We will use Trailfinders instead.

Disappointing customer service.
Went to the destinations show in Manchester and spent 30 minutes explaining the holiday in Canada that we wanted to Canadian affairs.
A Scottish lady assured us we would receive a quote on the following Monday 4 days ago, we are still waiting. Tried to contact them on the phone, waited for 30 minutes then gave up. Very disappointing.

Knowledgeable, efficient and friendly with excellent insider tips on where to stay and suggestions for activities to participate in whilst abroad. Anthony also helped us plan our road trip route from Vancouver to Banff. He suggested interesting, off the beaten track places to stay and visit, booked our accommodation as well as booking several activities for us in advance that may be booked out by the time we get to Canada ourselves. We are delighted to have found a company whose staff are able to make bookings and suggestions for places to visit, based on personal experiences, having lived there themselves.
