A very competitive quote was provided for my dual bike policy, with no hassle encountered, in fact Connor was very efficient and explained the details very clearly.

Received a quote from BeWiser via Compare the Market which was much cheaper than my expiring policy. Attempted to purchase online but their system would not process my card payment - later confirmed by a BeWiser member of staff to be a "common problem with the system". Attempted to call BeWiser but recorded message advised office was closed until the following day, so printed off my reference from the online platform and called the following day, to be told there is no record of my quote and could I go through it again. Didn't have the time, so called the day after to find out that my quote was on the system after all, but the proposed insurer was no longer offering terms, just two days after my online quote(!?!). The adviser recommended a new, alternative insurer who were quoting almost the same premium for comparable cover. Not a bad compromise in my view but frustrating that my original quote was no longer valid.
I queried the legal cover under the new policy - it took 5 minutes to find out how much the limit of cover was, which caused some concern as this is a common aspect of a motor policy. Satisfied with the reply, I proceeded with the policy at the premium quoted by the adviser. My final question to the adviser before accepting cover was "is the price just the insurer premium and tax, no add-ons or fees?". The adviser confirmed "no, just the premium and the tax". Got my documents to find that it carried a £60 admin fee in the premium - a little excessive given this formed nearly 20% of the total price and more than 20% of the insurer premium (ex tax).
So to sum up my gripes, I was not happy that I had to call twice to achieve a quote that i had already got online, that I couldn't pay for my policy online with my selected insurer, couldn't incept cover with my chosen insurer AT ALL and that the presentation of price was incorrectly stated to me in terms of its composition, although the total was correct. The only reason i have selected this broker to provide me a policy is because the cover was comparatively the best value for money and i couldn't get it any cheaper elsewhere, in spite of the fee. Although that doesn't justify the fee as a percentage of the total. As someone who works in insurance by trade I appreciate that a claim will be supported by the FOS if it goes sour or is handled badly and the insurer has to meet minimum solvency standards to meet claims obligations. As a broker, BeWiser would not be my preferred choice based on my experience, but I know that should I ever need to use the insurance, the policy provides direct correspondence to my insurer instead.
Insurance brokers have an obligation to treat customers in a way which is clear, fair and not misleading. I am afraid that in my view they failed to meet my expectations in all of these points. I deem the fee to be excessive and not clearly outlined in the presentation of price to me, nor was it clearly highlighted in the policy documents. I didn't go out of my way to look for problems and I am happy to feed back to BeWiser directly should they wish to contact me to discuss my concerns to avoid other customers feeling the same way. I just lack the inclination to call them for a third time!

I was very impressed by the professional way in and with which I was dealt with today and on that basis alone I would have no hesitation in recommending the customer service levels to any third party.

The assistance I received from Oliver (Andover office) today was excellent, based on this I will advise friends and family to seek a quote from your company.

As I have only very recently taken out a Policy with Be Wise, so far I have found them very helpful and hopefully I will not have any problems with my cover.

I would not deal with Be Wiser next year because the company appears to deal with very dubious insurance companies.
I claimed 9 years no claims bonus, but my previous insurers, Aviva would only confirm 5+ Years. Which resulted in me being charged an extra £120 odd, however I managed, eventually to provide proof of not just 9 but 11 years without making a claim. However my new insurance company recommended by Be Wiser will only refund me a total of just under £25. I find their generosity with my money truly astounding, therefore my conclusion is that my insurers and Be Wiser are nothing more that a bunch of ROBBERS.
