Waste bloody space

We got 3 c5 segway last November. 2 pack up this year in middle of covid19. We phone was told note they could do at this time due to panic. Last week we received letter to say that we had cancelled insurance. So jump on phone was told someone would ring us back in 24 hours. Five days later I had to phone bright house as no call back. Spoken to lady she said nothing had been logged. So she did it phone me back next day to say someone would ring. Monday came abd bloke phone me ask what the issue and complaints were. So I told him he said got look in to all phone call conversations.He said we should had received a letter in post about insurance companies going bust back in the year.We never received told him that's why we phoning. Thursday come he phone me up said that he listen to some of the phone calls and that bright did email us a letter. But he all ready said they posted it and it's down to Royal mail to devlier it. Now he said it was sent by email. Which is it.I ask why have you not listened to all phone calls and only some. Under the act of goods act 2015 they have to sort it as goods not fit for sale. I since cancel my payments now I been in contact with Watch dog and Trading standeds.

The thing is taking them to court gone bust the owe alot of money out and struggling to pay people. They got this Christmas prizes going to encourage you to pay. I never miss a payment never had problem. But as soon as they owe money or in wrong the say you be lucky if you get anything with them been bust. Insurance company's gone or going bust. So fokes keep tracing your goods if they been sent to be fix.You be lucky if you get them back. And anyone that owe money don't bank on getting it back.

I have been a customer for many years…

I have been a customer for many years and I have had no problem with the company but I bought a TV and paid it off and then its stopped working and phoned them and I was told they could not help even put a complaint in and got no where I paid a fortune for the TV and for it too stop working just after I paid it off so I'm left with no TV l had to go out and buy a new one. Surely they could have been more helpful especially when we phoned up the tv company that deals with them said the TV was still under warrenty so I have not paid them as being out of pocket with having to buy a new TV. Surely they could do something especially with the pandemic going on and money is tight for everyone at the minute.

Been a customer for a long time however my recent experience of brighthouse leaves a real sour taste.
I purchased a new suite 5 weeks after delivery the 3 seater broke we reported to our branch and called the section response for repairs. We waited months for an upholster to be authorised and a date was finally set we advised we would be out at work after 6 pm we waited all day and guess what he allegedly turned up at 6.30 took a pic of our door and was never seen again we paid our suite faithfully for a yr still waiting for the repair to be carried out . To add insult to injury we also got an ipad at the same time this mysteriously stopped working shut down and became inactive we reported this and also paid this for almost a yr waiting for a repair or replace which still has not happened I finally contacted Apple and was advised the ipad may look new but the software is outdated and no longer supported with updates so brighthouse where selling end of line goods software wise as new tut tut naughty naughty. I stopped all payments after as I say a yr with faulty goods I now receive 2 to 3 calls a day and several texts from brighthouse . They tell me I am in 900+ arrears after 16 wks of deliberate non payment as far as I am concerned I am owed a full yrs money from brighthouse for faulty goods not fit for purpose but it's a one way street with this mob just look at the responses on comments here they only add comments to people who say they wont pay.

I have been at bright house for 2 months no and overall it had been great. However when I arrived there was several things wrong with my flat, the door lock was broken so other residents could walk into our kitchen. The kitchen it self was a dirty despite the cleaners supposedly coming 3 days a week, this may have been due to my flatmate but i doubt it. My kitchen cupboard lock was broken and they do not provide toasters or kettles. Fortunately I was able to swap rooms, my mew flat was much better apart from the kitchen tv being very temperamental. The room doors are very annoying, they can randomly lock themselves so you have to take you key card with you even when your going to the kitchen. I have been locked out of my room a few times because of this.

The rooms are spacious for student halls and the bathroom is a big improvement from the university halls. The kitchens are large and great for movie nights and parties with your flatmates.

Speaking of parties we were given free pizzas and beer before Halloween!

Sharon, the building manager is always friendly and very helpful, she does her job well. I often borrow tools from her office and she has given me bubble wrap and spare boxes for postage. The cleaners do a good job when they come and maintenance guy comes once a week.

Despite the flaws I would recommend bright house. Please note I was asked twice to write this review and rate 5 stars. I wrote this because Sharon does a good job.

Great Manager

I've found the manager at Bright House to be so helpful! When running into her in the corridors, I always find her to be super friendly and she always asks if there is anything wrong with my room or flat that needs fixing. Whenever there is something in my room or flat that does need fixing, she always manages to get on top of it. No request I've made has ever been too small. I really do feel that the manager cares about each person living at Bright House and does not see them as simply "tenants". She always remembers my name.

The classic ensuite itself I find very spacious and homey. Nice large kitchen. I love that there is a cleaning staff that comes in every week to take out the bins for us and clean up the hob.

Would definitely recommend to a friend and will book again next year.

Loyal customer for years and always…

Loyal customer for years and always paid on time until August this year, My father passed away, I tried to take my own life, am now in a mental health unit because i lost my home and am now classed as homeless. Emailed brighthouse 7 times about freezing my payments till november and asked them to add any arrears to the end of my account, had no real positive emails back, just texts about my arrears, ive still no idea whats happening with my account

No replacement in sight for months while I still have to pay!

Sent my pc in at the beginning of August for repair as it is covered for accidental damage with their insurance. They have not contacted me with an update once, I have chased it up weekly and have been told for the last 4 weeks that they don't have a replacement in stock! I have still been making my payments in full for a product I don't have and I have a feeling I won't get a replacement at all! Terrible customer service, no one seems to know what they are doing.

After my last review

After my last review. i thought i would update. After Brighthouse intimidated me into paying over £3000+ by weekly phone calls and constant text. I was not a customer of Brighthouse. (Daughter was).
My complaint was upheld by FOS and Brighthouse was ordered to pay me £3000+ also 8% interest and £150 compensation, this was Begining of Feb 2020. and guess what they haven’t paid a penny. All i get is the same old gerneric email. Now in administration i doubt i will receive anything. I bet they reopen under a different name in the near future.

Now after 4 months of struggle with them, they finally cancel my tv but unfortunately they don’t give us any money back as BrightHouse go to administration and they don’t accept any refund!!!
If they collect anything from you don’t pay them !! You will don’t get any money back plus your item!!

Treat us like cash cows

They keep replying to their customers saying that the customer is in a legally binding contract. The contract is for goods and services they provide for the weekly payments made. They have not provided a service that they sold to us. I have an appliance that has been broken since March 2020. I asked them to collect it now as no attempt has been made to repair it. I also stated I would no longer pay for the appliance as it isn’t functioning. They accepted that. Today I’ve waited in all day for it to be collected. Guess what ?? No show. I have been paying for BrightCare but that is a service that has not been provided. So please BH don’t keep telling people that we are legally bound by a contract. May I remind BH so the hell are you.

What the hell is going on?

I am not a brighthouse customer, I never will be.

I simply dislike catalogue or weekly payments, so I have never set foot in any brighthouse store, nor will I.

But!

for roughly three years I have been getting text messages from them about late payments for someone called Catherine.

That's not my name, and furthermore I know no one of that name.

I have repeatedly called Brighthouse, repeatedly asking what is going on, all I get is a confused salesperson confirming that my name and address is not on their system and further more, neither is my blasted phone number.

I repeatedly ask for an investigation, which I repeatedly get told that there is one going on and I will be told what's going on.

So, in short, sod you Brighthouse, because of your repeated incompetence, I'm now changing my phone number.

My daughters Apple laptop broke

My daughters Apple laptop broke - I have insurance with them and they are going to replace it —-in March I reported this - five attempts to send a courier to pick it up as they had told him something was being delivered not collected -finally it got send in May and they have had it ever since and it’s now September - my daughters gone all summer without a laptop and is doing her final year of gcseS this year - I have telephoned 58 times even put in a formal complaint- they have gone over the timescale to reply so I am currently on hold for 45 minutes and I am going to my solicitor this afternoon I’m taking them to court I am not paying for something that I don’t have - that’s theft and I Am sick of listening to their lies- I will also be contacting the administrators via my solicitor enough is enough

Reported my washer/dryer was broken 5 weeks ago, the washer/dryer is less than 6 months old. They sent an engineer out within a week and he said he'd order the part, fair play. Now still 5 weeks i haven't heard anything off them. Absolutely nothing. Now we have a 1 year old which goes through clothes like that plane went through those towers and I work 40 hours a week myself which obviously requires clothing daily. I have explained this to them and yet the answer is "we can't do anything until the part arrives", now baring in mind i can order clothes from half way around the world and it be here within 3 days, this is abit of a joke. Given we pay a fair bit of money per month for this youd thought we have abit more respect given to us.
Disgusting company.

For weeks now I have been asking you to collect this watch in the meantime I am still paying for it because if I don’t I will get a black mark against me I am now sick of paying for it and you now owe me weeks of money back and the watch is sat on the side waiting for collection please can you refund me the weeks of money and collect it or I will be seaking legal action

25th of june I've reported issue with waching machine. Nearly 2 month later and still not fixed and they cant give me dates when it will be fixed. TV couldn't be repair so waiting for a replacement cant gave dates either. Defienetly worse customer service ever

My 65 inch hisense tv screen broke and the took it beginning of june. I still havnt got it back. Not heard a thing off them. I ring each week and half of the staff are rude. They dont care. Im still paying 11 pound a week for a tv they said they cant fix and i have to wait for a new one. So i asked when am i getting my new one. They just said they dont know. So im sat here waiting still. Its a disgrace. i might stop my payments.

Update: September 1st. Still no tv. I have asked to freeze payments for two weeks and they said ok. Then I got woke Up early Saturday with phone calls and texts saying I’m in arrears. No I’m not I’m upto date with my payments. Muppets. So still no tv

Read post before going to them

I would have given this company 0 stars but could not.
They collected my TV in February 2020 and 6 months later I can not get it replaced or repaired, I complained to the complaint's department and received a letter admitting fault and promised it was sorted out, I am still waiting for a replacement TV and I have stopped making payments on it after months of trying to get a new one as promised, I have sent well over 20 emails and phone calls to no effect.i have paid over£1000.00 on the TV and in 15 years never missed a payment. Now they just keep calling me asking for payment, but wilts I was paying and trying to get this sorted not a single call back, despite promises of call back never happened.
Leave it alone I am now taking them to court to get my money back and I have informed them of the course I am taking.
DO NOT USE THEM GO TO PERFECT HOMES BRILLIANT SERVICE AND GREAT CONTACT WITH THERE CUSTOMERS.

hisense 55 inch tv broken still chase me up for payments on other items including the tv which i have not recieved a new one which is part of there terms to there side of agreements they are still looking in too a replacement still nothing since the 15 th july 2020 this is absolute disgrace. they can go take a running jump no payments will be made till new tv comes too me am gonna include a reference number from invoice when tv was uplifted 7232161657650
