I am a customer of Animal Friends Insurance for several years now. It was one of the best decisions ever made in regard to our GSD. The breed is known for some health challenges and life can be unexpected,too. We have claimed twice for different reasons after the unexpected vet visits. There were no problems at all. I would recommend this insurance company.

Dog dental treatment
Claim was dealt with expeditiously when my dog had to undergo dental treatment. My vet and Animal Friends worked together to deal with the paperwork and process the claim, keeping me informed throughout. Payment was made swiftly.

Unnecessary evcess payments
Nothing made this experience great. While I accept that Bracken had three lumps removed at the same time, this did not require three separate lots of anaesthetic. There was no reason to apply three policy excesses to his treatment.

For all of our policies for dogs over the age of 8, and cats over the age of 10, a co-payment is applied.
This means that we would look to pay 80% of the claimable costs, less your excess, and you would be responsible for the remaining 20%.
