My dog has had an expensive issue for couple months now and every time vets send them the bill they approved payment within a day minus the 20% that I have to pay so cannot fault them.

Overall good caring service
Only a short wait in the cat only waiting room. Then the vet gently gave my 18year old cat his check up. And discussed with me his on going treatment . They have also sorted it out with my insurers. All very efficient.

Great company to deal with
I have been with Animal Friends for a few years. My dog has had cancer twice and they dealt with my claim quickly and easily . They did the pre authorisation with my vet so I didn't have to worry about anything. I highly recommend them.

This company cannot be trusted and should be avoided at all costs. Whilst happy to take your money year after year they are quite the opposite when customers are at their most vulnerable and it comes to making a claim. The company will try devious and obstructive tactics to avoid payments even to their most loyal customers. I am now pursuing my claim through the Insurance Ombudsman and have learned that Animal Friends are part of Red Sands Insurance Company Limited. Please read the reviews for this company before trusting Animal Friends with the care of your loving pets.

I can confirm we are no longer underwritten by Red Sands Insurance Company and we are now underwritten by Pinnacle Insurance PLC.
I can see that you provided your payment details which were not passed over to the assessor, I do apologise for this as this is not the level of service that we aim to provide.

I have now made a few claims and I am always so pleased with how quickly my claim is dealt with and the payment made! Animal Friends offers extras to support pets and I find the monthly rates reasonable! I will be staying with them!

Made a claim for first time after years of paying the insurance to be told I can’t claim. Tried to contact animal friends. On hold for ages. Filled in a form for them to discuss this and still not heard from them. Very disappointing and unprofessional

Save your money yourself
My dog needed out off hour’s treatment, cost £500 to see Vet, animals friends only paid £200, so don’t use these or don’t take your animals out of hours, plus I was charged two excess of £159 each for the same condition.
