I had a very lucky experiance. I had a hotel booked in Bali for a friend who was flying in on the 29th of July, on the 25th I went to the hotel to inform them that the name of the guest would be differamt to the booking name only to find out there was no room booked and that they were booked out.
I found another motel for my friend and got the money back from Agoda but I will never use them again as the cannot be trusted.

It's always easy booking on Agoda and mostly, the prices are competitive
Somehow my booking dates changed after I made payment. I was charged $426.16 for 1 night when I was qouted that for 5 nights.
I reached out to support, they admitted to seeing the discrepancies and said there was nothing they can do, its up to the hotel. I later recieved a email stating hotel declined changed.
My point to agoda was, it happened on there platform, my money needs to be refunded. They just ignored me.

More often or not I get a better price for hotel bookings via Agoda
I booked a stay for on the airport when I came to the accommodation they only found a booking for the next day and for one person, even though I’d booked for nighttime for two. When I called them they made me wait for 40 minutes and kept putting me on wait and eventually they left me with nothing. I had to book something new myself and the only compensation I got is $4,44 additional to my refunded payment😭. I had to pay so much money for a new last minute hotel that night. So I have nothing good to say about agoda

So simple pick the hotel and press the button all done.
⚠️Zero ⭐ Our experience was a disruptive disaster. They leave you to sort it out yourselves in the burning sun.
And they do not even keep to the agreed on compromise.
Booked guesthouse on 18 june for night of 11/12 july before our cruise via Agoda. Arriving ... sat for 1/2 hour and at last came a person with broken English. Informing us the guesthouse was sold to tem on 1 July. Then I "battled"on my mobile phone for hours via an AI agent. After several attempts speaking to a man, Agoda informed me they will cancel and Refund. They did not offer alternative accommodation, even after I requesting it. They refunded me with some currency lost. They only wanted to compensate about Pnd20. I phoned them again and they said they will compensate up to 50% additional. But as I could not get any accommodation via Agoda nearby in location or in price, We later agreed on 100% compensation. In hind site it was not enough for a last minute booking. With a couple of cruise ships leaving, hotels where full. After 2 weeks I still await any response on my emails with may claim with the reasonable invoice of my searched alternative accommodation. But via the chat function ...that is very efficient if you have hours to spend...And then they, in this "digital world" , request a stamped and signed invoice. The emailed invoice of alternative Hotel is not accepted. Hypocritical while they do nothing on paper and can not manage the (Alexander J) Bell technology provisions.
⚠️PS: Don't believe their answer on my review. I tried it all. Took hours and hours. Zero result. It seems like a technocratic nightmare to be.
It's just like Crooking.Com with asian spices... 😁

Agoda's reply below is just another automated template to look good in public. They are asking me to contact them again via WhatsApp or the Help Center, but I have already done that. Your Customer Experience Group (Khushboo) has already given me a final refusal and completely ignored the technical issue with the hidden timezone.
Stop sending robotic copy-paste apologies. If you are truly "committed to making things right", manually review my case, acknowledge your misleading UI, and restore my $81.54. My previous support interaction was a complete failure.
than fixing their interface or respecting customer loyalty. Be careful: your AgodaCash can disappear hours before the stated date due to hidden technicalities, and support will do nothing to help you.

Peace of mind
I’ve had great experiences getting competitively priced hotels on Agoda. Sometimes they are significantly cheaper than other sites. Lately I’ve noticed that this isn’t always the case - but it’s worth a try. Smooth bookings never an issue.
Probably the worst customer servcie experience and a company incapable of accepting any responsibility for their errors and trying to blame the hotel. On top of having a chatbot that entraps you into into responses that point the blame elsewhere amd creates a wall that stops you from going any further and it wont allow text input anymore, it tool three Brickwall attempts like this until I managed to get out through to an agent. When you do get an email they put repsonsility of no resolution and blame the hotel for not responding when the issues are nothing to do with the hotel and with Agoda listing incorrect details. In this case, breakfast being included, the location in relation to landmarks and falsely advertising a price including all taxes and fees and then adding them on in their cart. When they eventually email you and you respond they claim youre using an incorrect email, when I have literally replaced directly to the email they contacted me which is the same used for booking. Instead of investigating their errors they've just tried to farm responsibility on the hotel. I don't forsee any compensation from them so I will just ensure they never see a penny from myself ever again.

It's impossible to delete my Agoda account.
I've tried multiple times to delete the account from the website, but it's impossible.
This is what customer service tells me:
"The legitimate reasons we need to retain this personal information for this short period are for marketing purposes...
Under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act, where we are based, we retain personal data for a period of **120 days** from the date of the guest's last check-out."

Please guys think twice before using Agoda I have used them for years never had an issue, I had a recent booking when I got to the hotel I was told Agoda did not pay them even though I showed the bank transaction I was charged at the hotel and by Agoda twice, I tried ringing them twice after waiting 30 minutes the agents disconnected the line when I got through Shanu called me back after 1.30hrs on the phone when I asked to speak to a manager the line was disconnected and a email was sent to me saying are you happy with the resolution this company is a complete scam now please think twice before booking with them.
There call centres are in India and the customer services is really bad they send you automated emails please stay away from the company they are SCAMMERS.

I've used a number of different site to book Hotels over the years, this is definitely one of the better ones as it was easy to navigate and contained lots of useful information, such as the distance from the airport and lots of local things-to-do information. I'll certainly use this again as i had a very positive purchasing experience.
Always found Agoda excellent, probably used them on last 10 UK 1-3 night hotel bookings.
Used to use Booking.com but being as they let me down on 2 bookings I had booked before Covid, the 2 stays being in 2020 and refused point blank to refund me, even though the government said 'stay at home' and all hotels were closed to business, I now refuse to use Booking.com
Will now always use Agoda, unless something goes drastically wrong.
BEWARE: Hidden Fees & Scam Tactics!
Do not use this site. I specifically booked for two adults, but after payment, my confirmation mysteriously changed to one adult. I was forced to pay extra at check-in. It feels like a coordinated scam with the hotel. Avoid this site and book through MakeMyTrip or Booking.com instead!
