Features are great but it seems the website can be very slow to refresh sometimes (thinking of the guest list). The app seems good but I don't use it much. I would like to be able to have the same fun... See more

With Joy has lots of great features and is overall easy to use. One thing I wish it allowed was to keep registries from Amazon and popular linked partners as separate, external registries. Beyond that, my fiance and I have found the site super helpful and more customizable than the Knot, which we tried out first. Not to mention its 100% free!
I used WithJoy to make a hotel reservation for my nephew’s wedding. The hotel they recommended went out of business with my deposit. They offered a refund or to find me a new reservation. I chose a new reservation. I then needed to cancel that reservation (I was within the cancellation window).
They are now ghosting me and refusing to reply to my requests for a refund.
I will be forced to take them to court to obtain a refund.
UPDATED 8/31 - It has now been 22 days since I cancelled within the stated window (and 6 days since Joy Travel responded to this review). The travel dates have passed. No refund, no timeline provided.

My Photos would not upload no matter how I followed the troubleshooting. Finally, a service rep Venkat was able to upload the photos for me from the back end. It only took a few minutes.
The tools, support, and knowledge are amazing. It's user-friendly at its best. I'm actually using it for two upcoming destination vow renewals. I love it!
Cons: I can’t add table numbers, after syncing my contacts and editing it started to glitch. My guests are stressed out trying to rsvp.
Pros: website is well organized

I’ve had issues with adding registries - they were showing as black boxes and none of the “fixes” worked. I got constant emails from guests who couldn’t figure out the registry bc of the black box. I also have been unable to get the money from our honey moon fund - it is not user friendly at all and we have had to reach out to the Joy team for help. Tbd on if they are able to help.

WithJoy is a great wedding website. It is very intuitive and made organizing our wedding and keeping everything in one place so much easier. Highly recommended!
I Find joy a great website to use, and I’m particularly impressed that it is free. He can’t be a little hard to navigate at times and I found myself going back backwards and forwards between different parts fairly regularly when trying to create the website. Once you’ve managed to get it figured out though it is a great website. We are nearing the stage of sending our invitation so I am looking forward to seeing the process with others using it.
I only wish I could rate them negative stars…
First problem: I could only make a single room reservation, not a reservation for multiple rooms at a single hotel. Should’ve taken this first hint, but it was for a much loved nephew’s wedding so I pressed on…
Did I mention I paid the the three rooms up-front? :/
Second problem: I needed to add a name to the three separate reservations I ended up making — I was going to arrive later than the rest of my party and wanted them to be able to check in without. So I called the hotel — Hyatt Place Baltimore Inner Harbor, which…oof, please just don’t even think about staying there, folks — to add a name to all three rooms. On four separate calls I was informed that they received 6(!) reservations from the withjoy[.]com/Priceline ding-dongs (remember I only made three and only received three confirmation emails) and that five(!) of them had been cancelled, leaving me with only one king room reserved (for a party of 6). So I cancel the one reservation and booked three rooms elsewhere.
Third problem: withjoy[.]com only offers email support. Really slow, really ineffective email support. No phone number to call where it’s easier to explain things and where problems can be handled through real-time, synchronous communication. Anyway, my issue got passed about between a total of four people, each who were only capable of assuring me over email I’d get a full refund, but were in reality incapable of helping sort things out with the Hyatt Place Baltimorons of the Inner Harbor.
Fourth Problem: a week goes by, with a few email responses saying they were “looking into it” only for them to say — without offering *any* evidence whatsoever — that the Hyatt Place Baltimorons of the Inner Harbor “front desk” — the same (Balti)morons who informed me that my reservations were cancelled, mind you — said that my “reservations were confirmed on their end.” And also that “They have also confirmed that they were able to accommodate you during your stay.” And finally “Due to this, no refunds were processed.”
So to say they’re the worst wedding booking site ever is not doing it nearly enough justice. Stay away, everyone!
Unless of course you like dealing with incompetent swindlers that prey on people participating in the formation of core family memories. Believe me, my entire family will always remember this wedding, but not necessarily for all the joy. Withjoy[.]com’s superlatively crappy performance will certainly be part of the family lore, too.
Hope all wedding planners read this, take it seriously, and don’t put their wedding guest through the agony of dealing with withjoy[.]com.

Absolutely awful experience. We booked a hotel through them for an event since the event was being organized by them. We reach the hotel after travelling the whole day just to find out that our reservation was cancelled. I had already paid, could not reach anyone in customer service because they had no phone number and no one responds to the emails.
Ended up canceling and rebooking at a higher rate cause its a higher rate. Now will dispute the charges paid the, with the Credit Card company.

Love how they help with everything from keeping track of invites to hotel blocks.
Terrible Customer Service And Completely A Ripoff Steer Clear & Far Away From Them

Jhondel is amazing! 4th person to try to help, but was the ONLY one who actually cared or knew enough to help answer my questions. Thank you!
Love how easy it was to create our wedding website! With the new multi-language option, we’re also able to give all our guests a much better and more personalised experience.
I really wanted to like WithJoy after reading up on it and still gave them a chance after hearing how buggy it is but there's too many bugs for me to trust Withjoy with my money or recommend Withjoy to others. I'd encourage the Withjoy leadership to care about this more since it's hurting their brand.
Let me first say though that they did have features that were nice like tagging guests, allowing granular website settings, having lots of website templates to choose from, and being able to order save the dates/invitations in house that link to the website.
However, here are just some of the bugs we ran into which I feel like are so basic that it would be unacceptable at any of the other companies I've worked at:
- Merge Duplicates does not work correctly. It mixes up addresses and leaves the guest entry in a bad state. This is especially bad because the contact collector creates a new entry instead of updates an existing entry so you are encouraged to merge duplicates.
- The Track Your Order button shared an external link to UPS with a prefilled invalid number. I later figured out on my own that the number was for USPS not UPS.
- The iOS app has places where it runs into a never ending loading loop (ex. Website overview page) making it sometimes impossible to use

Joy is very useful and easy to navigate but offers good quality system
I had to cancel a hotel booking for a family wedding in July and, unbelievably, I am still waiting for my refund of over £1000 almost 8 weeks later. I had paid for free cancellation at the time of booking and was informed via email that I would be refunded in full. However, despite countless frustrating phone calls and emails over the last 8 weeks, I still do not have the refund. Dealing with Nuitée (the company behind JOY) has been a hugely stressful experience. The support staff I speak to have tried their best but they have no power except to repeatedly email the finance team regarding my case. When I ask to speak directly to a manager in customer services and/or the finance team, I am repeatedly told this is not possible. I have been told one story after another about the failure to refund me; hence, I have completely lost trust in this company. I have raised a formal complaint in writing and in phone conversations, but no manager has had the courtesy to respond to my complaint. I am in despair and fear I may never see the refund to which I am entitled. I WILL NEVER USE JOY AGAIN FOR HOTEL BOOKING.

The wedding website itself is fine, but the registry was a really big issue for us. We had a cash fund, thinking it would be an easy way for guests to give us money, but it has been a nightmare. We tried to withdraw the money, and it wouldn’t come through, we contacted support, who constantly say give us 2-5 working days and never get back about anything, and now a month after the wedding, the guest got an email saying it was being refunded. However, they haven’t seen evidence of the money yet, making it really difficult for me to sort out and getting a guest involved is really embarrassing when it comes to wedding gifts. Money transfers should be the simplest thing on the registry, and this has been really stressful. Don’t use cash funds if you choose to use joy.

This was the worse reservation cancellation I have ever experienced. I requested Joy to cancel and confirm cancellation. Using the Joy website and following the instructions was not successful. I spent 2 days and 6 hours trying to cancel through hotel, Booking.com and joys website. I finally lodge a refund claim for refund and a complaint with Visa. Then I heard from
Margo the concierge who finally confirmed my refund and cancellation. Apparently others are experiencing the same frustrations with changing or cancelling reservations.
