I have had a few pairs of Warby Parker…
I have had a few pairs of Warby Parker glasses over the years. They are what they are, cheap frames that aren’t meant to last for a long time. Progressive prescription lenses cannot be replaced, so if your prescription changes you have to buy new frames. Also in extra narrow there are only 7 frames offered. 7. Not even in cool colorways or shapes styles. Also on extra narrow frames the arms are way too short. 130. This causes discomfort behind the ear. And there appears to be nowhere on the Warby Parker website to leave a review despite having reviews for the frames. In conclusion, overall a very meh choice of 7 very meh frames.
False advertising
False advertising. I needed a pair of glasses with just progressive lenses. I was thinking $95 like advertised. No way!!! I was going to cost me $329.00!!!
I ordered contacts
I ordered contacts. After a week, I still had not received them, so I went online to see when I could expect them. Which is where I learned, for the first time, that my order could not be filled because "it did not match my prescription". (I had received numerous marketing emails from them, but no one thought to send me an email about this???) Anyway, I checked my prescription, and it WAS correct. I called them. They said that they had written down my GLASSES prescription instead. They explained that when there are two prescriptions on one paper, they ALWAYS only write down the first one. (WHY would that be your policy???) So, after being on hold for several minutes, they figured it out and are sending them. I will never use their company again.
One of the worst customer service…
One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.
I showed up on time for my scheduled appointment and sat there for nearly an hour. Instead of being seen, I was told they couldn’t honor my appointment because it had been booked as a re-exam instead of a full exam. The explanation was that a full exam takes about 20 minutes, while my appointment was only scheduled for 15.
After making me wait almost an hour, they couldn’t accommodate an extra five minutes. That makes absolutely no sense.
The front desk employee, Shay, spoke politely, but the interaction felt dismissive and condescending, as if rescheduling me for five hours later was some kind of favor. It wasn’t. It was a complete disregard for my time and for the inconvenience they caused.
If this is how they treat customers, I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere.
As it was my first time getting reading…
As it was my first time getting reading glasses im a perfect target for them to screw over. The appointment was good, so i was excited to finally have proper reading glasses. However the frame was wobbly and uncomfortable so i went back to the store. instead of telling me i had an option of up to 30 days to change frame, they said they easily could adjust them. Now frames didnt fall off my face, but i got pain behind my ear. I have used cheap reading glasses from discount stores for 5 years and never had this issue. When i went back and said they hurt my head, they told me that you had 30 days to change frames and now i had the option to buy new glasses that would fit my head better. I literally used them for 6 weeks. And no, im not purchasing another frame for 95 dollars from them. My 4.99 dollar glasses from TJ Max are have better quality frames than Warby parker.
Because of the low quality in their glasses. Im concerned that they also give low quality exams. I had my exam 3 months ago and as i will never wear these garbage glasses again and going somewhere else for new glasses it will be interesting to see if they even gave me the right prescription. You better of saving up and wait than buy warby parker garbage.
Not happy with my glasses I received
Not happy with my glasses I received. I like the frames but the lenses are I do not. The prescription is not the whole lens. It is just a small circle in the center. It makes you dizzy when you look around. Would not recommend these glasses. Went back to my old glasses.
Dangerous Sanitary Hazard and…
Dangerous Sanitary Hazard and Unacceptable Customer Service
I'm writing to warn others about a shocking experience with Warby Parker. I recently received an order of contact lenses that arrived completely infested with insects. When I opened the package, ants crawled all over my hands. This is a severe health and safety hazard.
I immediately provided Warby Parker with photographic and video evidence of the infestation.
Instead of apologizing and resolving the issue, their customer service team has been incredibly unhelpful. They are insisting that I retrieve the infested box from the trash to send it back to them. I have replied inviting them to come to my home to handle this themselves, as I absolutely will not dig through my own trash to retrieve insect-infested boxes. It is completely unreasonable, and frankly unsanitary, to expect a customer to handle an insect-ridden package just to receive a refund for a clearly defective and contaminated product.
Their refusal to handle this as a serious health concern demonstrates a total lack of regard for customer safety. Be extremely cautious if you order from them, as their quality control and customer support protocols are deeply concerning. Avoid them if you expect a safe, professional experience.
Complete Failure of Customer Service
Complete Failure of Customer Service: A Total Nightmare
I am utterly outraged and disgusted by the abysmal treatment I experienced this morning. Your sophisticated branding and marketing raised the bar for me, making me expect a premium experience. Today, I learned firsthand that it is all a total lie. For two weeks, I was bombarded with automated reminders threatening that a five-minute delay would forfeit my appointment. I respected your time and arrived 15 minutes before the doors opened for the first slot of the day. You, however, showed absolute contempt for mine and wasted my entire morning dealing with pure incompetence.
When booking, I explicitly provided my insurance on the form offered once the appointment was set. Yet, your staff claimed they couldn't find my policy (even though they found my husband), who is a dependent on my plan. Instead of doing their jobs and making a quick call to verify, your staff stood there lazily watching the clock, then had the unmitigated gall to tell me my time had passed and I needed to reschedule.
Your system failed, but my morning is ruined? The audacity is staggering.
The second I got to my car, I called my insurance provider. They confirmed my full coverage in minutes. They were so appalled by your store's behavior that they called your corporate line themselves, because your specific location wouldn't even answer the phone.
It took two weeks to get this appointment, and your staff completely blew it due to pure apathy. The lack of care is unbearable. My husband had a wonderful experience at the Boca Raton mall location, but because of the insulting, dismissive treatment I received today, you have officially lost two customers. Neither myself nor my husband will ever set foot in your stores again.
Insurance fraud?
I purchased a pair of glasses in store March 2026. I paid $220 in full, out of pocket. The worker offered to submit my claim for me to VSP as an added service, stating that any refund would come directly to me in about a month. Instead, Warby Parker was sent my $120 reimbursement check, kept it, and now says they can't do anything about it. I have requested my refund by phone and by email. Insurance can't do anything because they have paid out. Sounds like insurance fraud Warby Parker. Love their glasses, but DON'T LET THEM SUBMIT YOUR CLAIM. Do it yourself.
Terrible lenses if you need anything other than basic.
The customer service was pretty good until I asked for transition lenses. DO NOT BUY GLASSES WITH TRANSITION LENSES FROM WARBY PARKER! They charge an extra $130.00+ and the lenses barely transition to a light tint. To get the lenses to transition to sun glasses they want to charge an extra $75.00! At this point I would be paying over $700.00. I'm not a fan of LensCrafters but it would have been less expensive with better quality frames and lenses. It's too late for me but I hope this review will help others who need special lenses to go elsewhere and not waste your time and money. Also, the scratch resistant option is a joke. The lenses scratch cleaning them with the wipe they provide. Basically, just go anywhere else but Warby Parker.
I LOVE WARBY PARKER
I have been buying glasses from Warby Parker for years and was disappointed that they didn't offer exams. THEY NOW OFFER THEM AND MY EXAM WAS PHENOMENAL!!! The staff was great! The optician took her time and was VERY thorough. It took about an hour and she dotted every "I" and crossed every "T." I have an underlying medical condition and usually need to educate the optician before an exam. She was familiar with my condition and educated me. She took her time and gave me a new prescription. I did not know that it was possible for me to see this well.
Then, I went up front to pick out lenses. The guy that I worked with was amazing! I picked out a few "comfortable" frames. Then, he offered some suggestions that I would never pick on my own. I loved them so much that I ended up going with his choices. He also kept my busy toddler occupied during the entire visit, so that I could focus on the exam and glasses.
I also needed contacts. I have been wearing the same brand for years. They did not try to convince me to switch (which usually happens at other eye clinics) and he even got me a good rebate. My entire experience was amazing!! I have 0 complaints.I LOVE WARBY PARKER!
Defective glasses with eye hazard
After 7 months of occasional wear, a piece of wire is sticking out on the left of the frame where it attaches to the lens near the hinge. It is a possible hazard to my eye. It’s been 7 months and they will not repair or replace. They just want me to pay over $100 for new lenses. The cheap glasses from the drugstore last longer than these expensive ones.A lot of money for a poorly built pair of glasses and an out-of- touch attitude towards customer satisfaction. Cannot recommend this company.
My review is for ordering contacts…
My review is for ordering contacts online. It is a mess! I uploaded my prescription to my order as requested and 5 days later, realized nothing had processed - I also kept getting reminders to upload my prescription. I had to call and talk to multiple customer service staff via phone and email. It was finally processed and I was told would take 4-7 days shipping but then received an email saying it was shipped overnight. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing as far as their online contact ordering. I’ll go elsewhere in the future.
Slow, stubborn, untrained staff
The last two times at W-P, I've gotten SLOWWWWWW service, as though the staffer were on their first day. Most recently, after 30 minutes of iPad-poking and re-entry, I had to argue argue argue with the staffer, to ask the manager to intervene. And then the manager argued back too. It was excruciating; I hope my glasses arrive in good time, and I may not go back there the next time I need glasses.
WarbyParker uses OnTrac for delivery
WarbyParker uses OnTrac for delivery. After 3 weeks I am still waiting! OnTrac is widely considered highly unreliable. Customers frequently report persistent delivery delays, packages falsely marked as delivered, and unhelpful customer service. I trusted WarbyParker to deliver with confidence, the overall public consensus across platforms like Yelp and Reddit is overwhelmingly negative.
Awful customer service experience
Awful customer service experience. I ordered contact lenses and uploaded my prescription as a guest. It turns out that my prescription was expired so I was asked to upload a new one. But the "upload" button would not work and showed an "error" so I made an account on Warby Parker and uploaded it there. But their system is so fragmented that the customer service rep could not locate my new prescription that I uploaded (which I can see perfectly in my account) and kept blaming me for it...that I didn't upload it properly or I didn't do it today, basically saying I am lying... The whole thing was so confusing because my account did not even show my order, despite my card being charged. The rep was so rude and laxed and did not wanna help in any way, I finally had to speak with another rep and cancel my order. Terrible service would not recommend.
I'm a long time customer of WP, but this pissed me off...
I'm a long time customer of Warby Parker. I appreciate their helpful staff and (typically) reasonable prices for a product that is dominated by a small number of corporations that routinely rip us off. NOT THIS TIME. Not being a habitual purchaser of sunglasses, I had no idea - AND NOBODY IN THE STORE (Market St, Linnfield, MA) PROVIDED THIS INFORMATOIN - that a simple pair of Rx sunglasses would cost OVER $300. Had I been the one wielding the credit card, I would have said NO. But I wasn't...
WP - you've pretty much lost me after this one.
I was extremely disappointed with the service at the Hingham Location
I was extremely disappointed with the service at the Warby Parker location in Hingham, MA. During our Saturday visit, staff helped fix and set up my husband’s account. Because we had forgotten our FSA card, we specifically asked whether everything could be arranged so we could simply return the next day to pay. We also asked if we could complete the order online and were told no—we had to come back in person to pay.
When we returned the next day, the experience quickly became frustrating. One staff member appeared unfamiliar with the system and then informed us that we were missing a measurement needed to complete the purchase. This was confusing and disappointing, considering we had made a point the day before of confirming that everything was ready and that all we would need to do was pay.
When I asked whether this should have been addressed during our Saturday visit, another staff member responded in a very dismissive and abrupt manner, essentially implying that the previous mistake was not his concern. He turned away mid-conversation and ignored my question, which felt unprofessional and disrespectful.
I think the glasses are great and so is the quality. Its the customer service that is terrible.
Warby Parker customer service is…
Warby Parker customer service is horrible. This is now my 2 attempt of getting my refund back for my order. The store is very unorganized with handling refunds. The store employees just pass you back and forth with no explanation nor apology for wasting your time. Keep away from the Downtown Crown location in Maryland.
Alas, the love is gone
Alas, the love is gone.
My first pair of Warby Parker glasses were sunglasses, the day after my LASIK surgery in 2019. I loved them. I lost them. They discontinued them.
I bought my second pair of Warby Parkers on vacation on Venice Beach in 2021. They were called the Sonia, and black. I loved them. I lost them. They discontinued the black ones. WHY? I bought another color, but I don't love them.
My next were a pair of reading glasses. I have no idea why the frames were recommended to me. They were very unflattering. I donated them.
Next, were my favorite glasses of ALL TIME. Aja in Confetti Tortoise. I had Irlen lenses placed in them. Irlen color is light pink and they looked AMAZING. I lost them two years later (heartbreak!!) AND THEY ARE DISCONTINUED. This is how much people love these glasses - people are selling them on Etsy and Ebay for $500 to 600. Why on earth would they discontinue them?
But this next story is the cherry on the cake. I have ADHD which is why I lose glasses so often. That's on me. But this, this story drives me crazy. In 2025 I paid $$$ for an exam and expensive lenses for reading and computer work. The frames were amazing. Dasia in Ristretto Tortoise. But when I came to pick them up the prescription was wrong. They sent them back to fix. AND THEN EMAILED ME TO TELL ME THEY WERE DISCONTINUED.
I asked for a refund.
