Please shut Ryan Wilson Up.

Why is Ryan Wilson, a 2nd rate player, being promoted on rugby coverage on Viaplay to the point he’s everywhere? He ruined the game for me.
Last night he never shut up during the Munster / Warriors match. His mundane, inane rambling was so awful, like he was in a pub, I had to turn the sound down.
The rest of the coverage is good and the actual commentator, Rory Hamilton is up there with the best.

Nogle film kan vi i stedet få rettighederne til at tilbyde som købe- og lejefilm, som en separat tjeneste. Det giver os mulighed for at tilbyde film, vi ellers ikke kunne give adgang til. At leje eller købe en film kræver ikke noget abonnement.

HELP - cancel subscription and refund

I cancelled my Viaplay subscription in Nov 2022 before returning to Australia.

My wife recently checked her Swedish bank account to realise it has been drained by monthly fees by Viaplay for the past 12mths.

I have tried twice to contact you through the site, and attempted to email too.

Please provide a contact email. Please cancel my subscription and provide a refund for the past 12mths.

Site is awful. Trying to cancel but it doesn’t let me click anything on the ‘why do you want to cancel your package?’ page, so can’t advance. Same thing happens on the mobile site, shambles.

Is Viaplay a serious company?

I live in UK. I wanted to watch tv series Seaside Hotel. So I signed up, as I thought, for £4.99 a month. When I got further into their web site, which looks inviting, it was then asking me to buy. I thought I’d already done the buying when I signed up with my credit card.
So I thought: this isn’t right I’m going to cancel. It looks like you can unsubscribe - but their software takes you round and round in circles. I then went onto their chat -
helpful lady, but she couldn’t find a record of me signing up. So I don’t know where I am. I don’t know if they are a serious company or some sort of scam. Just be very careful.

Firstly, I'd like to stress that Viaplay is a serious company started in Sweden more than a decade ago, and since then has expanded to various countries around Europa and later, the world.

If my colleague was not able to locate your chosen payment option anywhere, that will highly likely mean you've either not completed the registration/subscription, or that some other technical mishap has resulted in the registration/subscription not being completed.

Based on this it is highly unlikely there was ever created a subscription with your chosen payment method.
If you, against all logic and odds, should experience a billing from Viaplay in the coming days then do of course contact us again. and we are happy to look further into that and help you locate what you in that case would have paid for.

Unethical

Unethical, uncaring, borderline criminal practices.
Having made clear my intention to discontinue my subscription Viaplay nonetheless debited my credit card and refused to refund.
One of those cheap organisations which make it 10 times more difficult to cancel than it is to sign up.
The kind of company that represents everything that is rotten with the online, faceless,"greed for profit", customer disinterested corporate world. STEER CLEAR !!

What a horrible service

What a horrible service. We only got it to watch F1 but will be registering with F1 directly.
They force you to watch advertising for 5 minutes before playing a show and when you stop mid show it doesn’t remember so you have to start from scratch.
Today it didn’t allow me to watch the 19:00 Qatar race until 21:00 replay. Total garbage of a service.

Max 480p during big games

I'm living in Poland and when you're trying to watch a big game which probably attracts lots of viewers the quality drops to 360/480p. It's horrible!!

Unfortunately I am not quite understanding what the issue here is.
If this is regarding you not knowing your Password to your Viaplay Account, and wanted us to send this to your e-mail, I am pleased to inform you that you must have misunderstood how this works.
Allow me to explain the process of creating an Account and Subscription with Viaplay:

1. You choose which subscription you want to start
2. You then create your Viaplay Account, where you yourself choose which e-mail address and Password you want
3. Now you are prompted to enter your payment information in order to verify this as a valid payment method on the Account
4. You now finalize the creation of Account and Subscription

So, the takeaway from the above is that no codes are sent to your phone, so your mention of this seems to be entirely a misunderstanding.
In addition - if we have managed to bill your card, you yourself have verified this as a valid method of payment. As explained above in step number two, this will also mean that you have chosen your Password already before getting to this.

For your privacy and data security, we have no knowledge of your Password. Therefore, if you've requested that we send you this in an e-mail, this is not us refusing this, but simply with regards to your data security and privacy not an option.
If you are not aware of the Password you yourself chose when creating the Account, you are able to click "Forgot Password" at the Login screen.
You will then be able to request a link sent to your e-mail address, with which you can change the Password for your Viaplay Account.

Should I have not understood correctly what your complaint is regarding, then you are more than welcome to contact us directly so we can help you!

An outrageous scam

I signed up online to watch one game. Turns it, in doing so, they’d signed me to a twelve month contract with no possibility of cancellation. Fair enough - suckered fair and square.

So I wanted to cancel when I got the chance. But when I tried, I realised they’d signed me to another twelve month, rolling over the contract. This was announced in an email with an innocuous title: “about your Viaplay subscription” or something. Since I never have used the service once, I hadn’t opened the email. But bang - another £120 for a useless service

These people should be forced to cease trading. It’s utterly unbelievable that they’ve been able to get away with it

We do not, and have never offered the option to purchase access to individual games, so nothing even suggesting this would have ever been present on Viaplay.

The subscriptions options we offer are an option priced at 14.99/month, with the option to cancel this at the end of each paid month, and an annual option priced at 9.99/month, which is called Viaplay Annual. This subscription, as the name hints to, will tie you to a 12-month contract.
In the terms and conditions you've accepted upon starting this subscription, it is also stipulated that in case the subscription is not cancelled by the end of the twelve months, you will then be renewed for a new Annual contract.

As you inform in your review, you received an e-mail leading up to the renewal of your contract titled "About your Viaplay subscription".
If you were not aware of having a subscription, I believe it would have been fair to assume you'd at the very least checked this, and why we would send you a such titled e-mail.

So - given that you were informed of this before you started the subscription, received e-mail regarding the renewal of the contract informing you of such - giving you the option to realize it would be time to cancel the subscription, in case you did not want this renewed according to the terms and conditions you yourself had agreed to - I do not believe calling that in any way a scam, is quite correct.

DONT GET VIAPLAY, I bought a subscription and a one week free trial and now am trying to remove my credit card from my account that I probably misspelled, the staff is helpful but now they’re asking me for my whole credit card information which i’ll definitely not give them, seems like a big scam to me and now I have to switch my cards in order to not be charged monthly for this crap… Very dissapointed didn’t even use viaplay and just wanted to cancel my subscription which is literally IMPOSSIBLE

We should under no circumstances ask for more than the first 6 and last 4 digits of the card number as well as the expiration date of the card attached to your Viaplay account. I cannot see which country you're residing in, but I can only advise you to contact your local Viaplay Support to get help with your inquiry.

I started trying to create an account to use through Sky tv. An hour and a half later I have an account I can’t use through Sky, can’t cancel, can’t speak to a human being, can’t call anyone & can’t update to use through Sky. The options shown on screen lead nowhere in ever decreasing circles. PLEASE do not waste an hour of your life on this rubbish. I’m sure someone will reply to me here as it’s in the public domain, they’ve ignored my emails.
*** update 24hrs later. I must now be fair. Customer service did something and I now have what I wanted initially,via play via the sky to network . I still don’t like their website in the slightest, hence 4 not 5, but their customer service dept did very well.
