Hi. Ordering was easy, and I received my shoes without any issues. I used common sense and checked that the seller had successfully completed previous sales, which gave me extra confidence. The shoes... See more

1. Seller viewpoint: Fairly easy, and I like buying and selling on Vestiaire. A recommendation: provide sellers with hassle-free scannable QR codes. That would be so helpful and appreciated by so many.
2. Add an option for marking an item “Not for sale” or “Not Available.”
3. As a buyer, I’m really happy with VC, although the buyers’ fees are a bit over the top!

Vestiaire apparently aims at driving sellers away.
Very high commission means it's impossible to lower prices.
I have now been waiting for payment for a week with various excuses given.
Very little information given for shipping items.

It’s an easy experience specially now you have changed the postage so we don’t have to print at home

Very interesting experience to sell here, easy to create advertisement, easy to ship.

VC has gone downhill.
I have purchased and sold items through VC and over the years the selling fees have increased. The last straw for me was when my sold item was cancelled due to the buyer claiming the item did not match the description. Meanwhile I have two other sales with happy feedback from the respective buyers.
Without consulting with me, VC immediately acted by cancelling the sale and having the item returned to me. I feel they need to fact check both sides first before making a decision based on one side. After what seems to be AI generated customer service responses and me repeating the same message over and over again, they decided I should send the item back to them to do their own independent check. More nonsense. Customer service is non-existent. Have now decided not to use VC any more.

I bought a vintage sirus travel bag. It was as described. Reasonable price. Arrived quickly. I had comfort from my purchase knowing that it had been inspected for authenticity. The site is easy to use and payment was all done efficiently. Good service. Thanks.

The fee that vestiaire charges is too much compared to the service it provides, the UX is not friendly, there is not enough feedback as to what is happening or next steps and the interaction overall of the site is not good.

As a new seller on Vestiaire I'm at best 50/ 50 about it all. Years ago I would've sold my high end items on Ebay, but as I've moved from the UK to Ireland I was recommended to try Vestiaire for my mainly unused designer items from the last 20 years. I also wish to note that I've been on Ebay for 25 years with a perfect record and over 1000 rating, so I know what I'm doing.
Firstly the listing experience is miserable, if you do it well, it will take you a long time to get everything together, but that part would be no different to listing elsewhere, where Vestiaire drops off a cliff is if they don't like your listing, and you won't believe how they handle it. My listings took many hours per item, and so you're very happy to press submit and move on. But, if Vestiaire's system, not a real person, decides something is wrong, you don't get a chance to edit it, changing the text, or maybe adding an additional tag image that they require, oh no, they DELETE your entire listing, the one that took hours to create, it's GONE, then they email you to ask you to correct the issue, but you have to start again - it's utterly ridiculous! The only way you can protect yourself is to save your description text and measurements in a local file on your computer, and maybe even the exact photos you liked, as otherwise you also have to hunt down the images you liked as well, it's a nightmare if you're listing multiple items. They DO NOT have to do this, Grailed, a competitor site, don't delete listings that require attention, it really feels like Vestiaire don't care about you. Then, it get's WORSE!!
After you've gone through all of that, and it's done, you wait for buyers to come, but you might have a look at some of your listings just to see how they look, and then you find out that Vestiaire have taken it upon themselves to edit and delete much of your description that you went to a lot of trouble to write. How bl**dy dare they change my text, it's MY listing, it's my item, and if I want to go in to detail about it, that's my choice. Also it's better for the buyer as a few times I've needed to point out tiny issues on the item, but Vestiaire have just deleted it. But remember you can't edit the description once it's listed, so you either have to put up with it as it is, or delete the listing and do it all over again, and hope they leave it alone next time. This is outrageous, and I accept no bland explanation that Vestaiaire give everyone about complaints here, which I've just been reading, they say 'we hear you', but 'tough, this is how we do it', lovely!!
Then to add insult to injury, just before you list your item for E500 or E1000, their AI pops up and suggests a ridiculous price that it will sell for, like E50. Yes of course it will sell for that, but that's not what I'm listing it for, it's pointless, annoying and frankly insulting.
I'm new, and have only recently sold 1 item, so buyers confidence in me will be lower, so I tried really hard when I sent my item, making it more like a beautiful gift to open, but, because Vestiaire don't show buyers reviews of sellers, other buyers have no idea whether you're any good or not, they just show how many items you've sold, or cancelled, and that's just not enough, especially for new sellers. The reason for this is that Vestiaire like to make everything about them, and having public reviews of sellers, make it about the actual sellers and Vestiaire don't want that, it's not a good look Vestiaire ;-(.
Other downsides, buyers can make an offer, which the seller can accept, but then the buyer can just disappear, after 24 hours with no comeback, what's the point of that?
When you do actually sell, be prepared for a long payment process, if everything goes well, it seems to take about 10 days, I've done everything perfectly, so if you don't, be prepared for it to take a lot longer.
The only positive that comes to mind as a seller is that when I print the label off, the cost of the delivery is already taken care of, it just makes it easier. But at the rates Vestiaire charges everyone, this is the least they can do!
Personally I don't think that they have the customer base that they would like the world to think, I've got a few items in the thousands, and there are some items on the site at 10's of thousands, but it just seems to me that people want a bargain designer item to look like they've spent a lot to their friends, when really they've only spent E100 or so. If you've got genuinely valuable items, be prepared for a very, very long wait, or maybe no sale ever, that's how it feels to me. Ebay's not looking quite so bad now!
And now they've responded, do you see what I mean, they talk like a politician from 30 years ago, ignoring what you've actually said, then twisting it, ending with 'this is how we do it, put up with it or get lost'. I can honestly say I would never speak to my customers like that, just AWFUL!

It wasn’t emphasized enough that there are several countries that are eligible for free shipping and not all of the countries are eligible. my country isn’t included in the eligible countries. So I found out only after my first sell. and the operation itself after selling was so inconvenient. This site IS NOT compatible with sellers from countries that are not included in the pre-paid shipping program so why did you let me even sell on here? Why is there an automatic message that tells me and tells the buyer that if the tracking information isn’t updated within a week the sale will be cancelled - even though I already shipped !! How is it my fault my country is not a part of your program? And then your support agent told my buyer that I am the one who chose to ship with my own shipping method which is a lie I didn’t have no choice and you made me look bad in front of the buyer. I will never sale on here again unfortunately unless my country gains eligibility for your free shipping program. Not because of the money I paid for shipping but because you guys cannot handle sellers from other countries

There was a little issue with my sell because I shipped my item last minute (due to unexpected events on my side), and the team was understanding and reactive and put everything back into order.
Thank you so much for your help and being nice throughout the process!

Been buying from VS for over 15 years, Never had any problems and Its important for us shopaholics lol to be able to buy things and trust there is customer service if there are any problems and mainly the quality of the product being sold. VS does their best to be very clear, and transparent with the goods sold. The only issue is the VAT we now have to pay if we are not members of the EU which has stopped me buying a lot more.

My first time to have placed an order here. It came in no time and in a good condition. Fuss-free, easy-breezy, thank you! :)

As a regular luxury fashion seller, I find Vestiaire Collective disappointing compared with other marketplaces.
The fees are high for both sellers and buyers, making it harder to sell items at a fair price. If an item is sold directly to a buyer without authentication, it can sit at the collection point for weeks if the buyer doesn’t collect it. I was very close to having this happen twice because buyers selected a local collection point and then disappeared. Vestiaire’s response was simply that they had sent a reminder and couldn’t do anything else.
Even after a successful sale, payouts take several days to be issued, and buyers can send offers with no commitment, wasting sellers’ time.
Overall, the selling process feels slow, expensive, and offers little protection or accountability. After using multiple platforms, I find eBay to be a much better experience for selling luxury fashion.
