How this company uses Trustpilot
See how their reviews and ratings are sourced, scored, and moderated.
Customer service is of an incredibly poor standard. You never speak to the same person (via email) and they don’t listen to you, just cutting and pasting a load of pointless jargon.
They won’t help you and close your account without warning. A bunch of cowboys who are best avoided.

I paid on the button and had my limit decreased without notice. I also noted the three month 0 % interest being dropped. Ha ha i credit checked Tymit and it was appalling. The reviews are terrible recently and my credit rating is good. All the customers they have will be caught in a hiked interest trap as it has been calculated to marry in with the recent mortgage hike, PS didn't answer my question. Look at recent trust pilot reviews are you an AI bot answering.?

Echoing other users experiences. Since the rate hikes and removal of the 3 month interest free period, the card is now surplus to requirements. I’ve been trying to cancel the card/account for over a week and nobody is coming back to me, certainly not within the 24 hours suggested.
While I understand that the current market conditions have dictated changes to many financial products, Tymit included… I don’t expect the customer service to also become less than adequate. Sad times for an initially promising company.

Thought it was just me they decided to make account less and less attractive to use, no more 3 month interest free, decent credit limit if needed - now all gone and seeing the reviews it’s pretty widespread and would expect Tymit to be on the way out sometime soon. Requested account closure (which for some reason others report is taking a while). Much better options out there now such as Monzo Flex if you’re after this type of finance.

Took out the credit card with the promise of 3 month interest free instalments for them to remove the feature the same week. Not impressed.

Impossible to close my account.
It was super easy to activate it but impossible to close it. I have sent multiple messages on the help chat to close the account but no one has ever replied to me. They say they aim to reply within 24 hours but I have been waiting for a week already. And now all of a sudden the chat feature doesn't work anymore.

This card was amazing to start with for the last few years, however it randomly started declining as of last week straight after they announced they're ditching the 3-month 0% interest, even though I have full-funds available on my account.
Customer services have been ignoring me for the last week and don't get back in contact at all...appalling service!!!

How long does it take to close an account? One click should be enough. I do not want to talk to a agent. You have stopped the 0% facility and this has made having the card pointless.
Update: customer service promptly contacted me after initial trust pilot review. Account is process of being closed. Thank you.

Great approach to credit cards. I love the immediate insight into spending - their Android app is really good. I don't use the extended multi-month repayment feature but I can absolutely see the use if you need to stage your payments.

Tymit was revolutionary with interest-free, 3-month instalments, now as it has gone there are much better offers with MUCH lower interest rates and also ZERO fees abroad.

Echoing a number of reviews here, this was a great card with the USP of spreading larger purchases at 0% for three months, or longer with a rate originally 14.1% when I signed up. Unfortunately there have been a spate of recent rate hikes for plans spread over more than three months, now standing at 29.9% - pretty expensive. Now the 0% rate for 3 months has gone, replaced with 29.9% 😡.
No more USP, no more custom from me! PayPal and Monzo Flex now have similar 0% options spread over 3 months, so I'll use them.
Unfortunately we saw this behaviour back in 2008/09 when the banks started imploding due to over leveraging themselves. They cut customer credit limits and hiked interest rates to extortionate levels... the ominous clouds gather !

What is Tymit without a 3 months interest-free EMI?
That was the USP. No point having tymit now.

The end.
I have had my card for a couple of years. At first everything was great. Then suddenly without any notice, my limit was cut by a third. I couldn’t get any reasoning behind it apart from them telling me that my credit rating was not high enough for the limit set. (It had not changed at all since my original limit was set.) Now they have taken away the only thing that was good about the card, the 3 months interest free on purchases. Time to move on. Sorry Tymit but all of this plus the rubbish customer service.. It’s just a crappy credit card now.

Do not take a credit card from this firm, they will misjudge you without any concern and cancel your credit card, very poor customer services. One to tick on your list to not to trust.

Started off as a great innovative provider, but slowly changed themselves into just another rip off expensive card. Removed all of the good features. Now ended the 3month 0% option. I will be closing my account. Greed kills innovation yet again.

This is not a good credit card company. I have a good credit score but I use the credit card. First of all they decrease your limit randomly from 2k to 1k. NOW they've just made the decision to remove the free interest rate on spreading costs over 3 months to the standard interest rate. The company seem to be struggling and are trying hard to make you give them money and put you in a bad situation. Luckily I can use it responsibility but I bet it has caught out a lot of users.

Like so many! Having the worst experience I’ve ever had with a card company.
But ! They do contact you eventually and give sound advice. Just so frustrating no being able to chat on phone with an urgent problem. Now they’ve taken away the 3 months interest free period- So just an ordinary credit card. I still say Stick with the big banks.

Tymit has been great so far. Unfortunately they just killed their Unique Selling Point, which was interest-free 3 month instalments. Now they are just like any other credit card but with worst APR and more clunky management options.
Nice while it lasted, time to let go of Tymit :(

Very very poor customer service. They never reply. Just a failed company that shouldn't exist.
The post below says everything you need to know. They "try" to respond... Well it's been a week now and I have had nothing. Imagine trying to deal with your credit card company on an important issue and you can only text chat and they ignore you for a week.... avoid people you don't want the hassle of this farcical company.
And now I have seen they have blocked my text chat from adding any more messages because I kept chasing them daily.
So they never respond but they can read and block your ability to send a message.... how did these jokes even get a license.

Great concept and very useful card. Devastated however to receive news this morning that the 3 month interest free facility is to end in July. This was the real icing on the cake. Only redeeming feature however is that notice has been given and that existing 3 monthlies and new up to the operative date in July will be honoured. Very sad move though.
