Extremely Disappointed - No Monthly Statement, Overcharged, and Unresponsive Support

I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience with TryNovel. While I understand that they are closing my account, the way they have handled the situation is completely unacceptable.

Firstly, I never received my last monthly statement. This lack of transparency is troubling and unprofessional. It’s essential for any service to provide clear and timely billing information, and TryNovel has failed miserably in this regard.

Secondly, I was charged for a full year of service, only to have my account closed shortly afterward with no refund. This feels like a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and fairness. Paying for a service that I can no longer use and not being offered any compensation or refund is simply outrageous.

To make matters worse, their support team has been utterly unresponsive. Despite multiple emails, I have received no assistance or explanation. This lack of communication only adds to my frustration and disappointment.

I would not recommend TryNovel to anyone. Their poor customer service and unethical billing practices have left me feeling cheated and disrespected. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for a more reliable and customer-friendly service.

No need to fund your account

No need to fund your account. They will take your money before it gets into your account. Their support desk is non-existent, too.
So, if you want to get scammed out of your money, this "bank" is the place to go. Otherwise, don't even look at this piece of trash.

Unprofessional and Unreliable (1 Star)

This review reflects my absolute worst banking experience ever. Novel Bank exhibited fraudulent behavior by closing my account without any explanation and withholding my funds.

They informed me they would send a check to my company's physical address, despite me being a non-US resident with no physical location in the US. My repeated requests to transfer the funds to another bank account were initially agreed upon, then later denied.

After my attempts to resolve the situation, Novel Bank blocked my email address, further hindering any communication and resolution.

Stay away from Novel Bank. Their deceptive practices and complete lack of customer service make them a company you cannot trust with your finances.

Note: I can provide all the proof of what I have experienced from Novel.

Unprofessional clowns with poor service quality, your business may not survive it

Tried to open an account with this awful bank for a company that I co-founded with business partners residing in the US.

- long processing times for litterally everything
- de-activation of a credit card by mistake and billing of a new card with no reimbursement whatsoever
- deletion of their previous archives because of server issues and another de-activation of a credit card, again billing the customer
- poor interface making it impossible to export your data as a CSV file for your accountant
- surprise-closure of an account with no explanation and not even the courtesy to respond to emails
- blocked bank transfers, sometimes without even letting you know (you have to send them an email asking why your money didn't arrive so that they can wake up and tell you that you should justify the wire)

I even asked them if my account was at risk because I saw multiple testimonials of people getting their account closed for no reason, and guess what? They told me that I was safe because unlike the others, I was doing nothing illegal...

Well guess what, I must be one of these numerous customers who got their account closed anyway.

Account closure

They frozen my account saying they are disengaging with their partner bank and they will close all of the accounts.
So I don't see a reason giving them an option to receive and manage your money

Account closed without reason waiting 6 days and no solution

This bank worked well until one day when I was traveling they blocked my account and the only reason they give is that it is under review for fraud which is a procedure to comply with the bank's regulations, It seems very dishonest to me, you can't play with people's money, avoid it at all costs and the support is Very bad, Now I have my money there and I can't withdraw or transfer it.

I opened the free account in march2023…

I opened the free account in march2023 and I paid for the plastic debit card 7$ , and never received it , but I got the virtual card and kept working till mid Dec 2023 then I was charged with an invoice of 96$ since I didn’t meet the criteria for free account and I paid this invoice and got the account till end of Dec 2024,
I decided to pay for another plastic card 7$ , this time I got it in mid Jan 2024 , I activated it , but suddenly next day I received an email from support telling me that I had to accept new terms that novel will change hosting bank to five stars bank and canceling old account and card , so I accepted this and I had to pay again 7$ for the new card and I received it and activated it . I requested the refund for this 7$ and novel sent a check for the 7$ .
Then suddenly today I received Ian email confirming that they will close the account mid june2024
After emailing support, they replied with that new hosting bank is closing !!!!!

Let's unite to bring these thieves to justice!

If you want your money to be stolen, Novel is the bank for you! Anyone who has a problem with Novel, please contact me so that we can take legal action together to get back OUR money - strength in unity!

Here's my story:
A year ago, my Novel account was closed without any explanation, with over $3500 balance.
At the time, it was nearly all the money I had. I sent them several emails before they replied to me 10 days later, coldly informing me that I could only retrieve my money by check and not by bank transfer. I was very surprised because it's an online bank that easily receives transfers but apparently can't send them when it's our money.
I found it strange because ACH/Wire is the best way to get my money back. I even said they could deduct all the associated fees from the transfer, it's not a problem.
But they refused, so I said okay to the check and asked for it to be sent to my home address in France, which is my company's mailing address, listed in the legal documents. But of course, they couldn't send it to France, without giving any explanation.
They said they were looking for a solution and for 3 months they kept telling me the same thing without ever finding a solution. Sometimes they wouldn't reply for a month despite several follow-ups, but I kept looking for a solution.
So, I suggested that the check be sent to the company that manages my company's address (registered agents), I provided all the information, signed documents, and assurances that I trust them and it's my responsibility if the check is lost, and then no response for a month.
I followed up several times again and was told they couldn't send it to that address because it doesn't match the American address of my company. They even asked me to change my company's domiciliation address, I had never seen anything like it!
When I said it was absurd, I was assured that they would find a solution and get back to me.
It's been 9 months now and I haven't heard anything, no one has ever contacted me again. So, they did indeed steal my money!
I've seen that many other people are in a similar situation, that's why I suggest we unite!
